Overview

Qashier brings booking, point of sale, payment acceptance and customer-retention tools into one system. That breadth is useful for operators who want to manage service appointments alongside sales and staff performance; it is less compelling for a salon that only needs scheduling. Its Malaysian payment options are a particular strength, while the Lite tier leaves out important capabilities for a business that needs to take card payments or manage staff through the platform.

Key features

Bookings and salon operations

Qashier Bookings handles online appointments at any hour, confirms them instantly and supports package redemption. The team calendar syncs with the POS, helping a salon keep bookings and transactions in the same workflow. Staff performance and commission tracking, plus sales and customer-feedback reporting, can help owners review operations and compensation; staff management itself is excluded from Lite.

Payments and loyalty

The Malaysian terminal accepts major credit and debit cards, DuitNow QR, Touch ’n Go, GrabPay, Boost, mobile payments and e-wallets. Qashier Treats links points to payments and also supports vouchers, promotions and personalised customer messages. These options give salons several ways to encourage repeat visits, but Lite excludes QashierPay card payments and add-on tools, so the free tier is not a full version of the payment proposition.

Integrations, security and support

Growth includes Xero, Shopify and WooCommerce integrations. Qashier also offers API connection paths for payments, POS data and Treats loyalty, consolidating transaction data in one dashboard. Qashier says it complies with PCI DSS 3.2 as a Level 1 Service Provider and separates sensitive card data from the rest of its infrastructure; it also says it adheres to Malaysia’s PDPA and other personal data protection laws in its markets.

Support depends on the plan: Lite is email-only, while Essential and Growth include live chat, phone and WhatsApp. That upgrade matters for salons that need more immediate help with day-to-day operations.

Pricing

Prices exclude SST. Lite is 0.00 MYR per free, billed Free, with up to 25 products, reports up to 1 year and email support. Monthly sales and staff limits apply, and the plan excludes QashierPay card payments, staff management and add-on tools. It may suit a very small operation exploring the system, but those caps and exclusions make it a poor fit for a salon relying on Qashier for core payment and staffing workflows.

Essential costs 5.00 USD per month, billed RM5/day. It supports up to 9 stores, up to 1,000 products, unlimited staff and CRM for up to 500 customers, and includes live chat, phone and WhatsApp support. This is the practical step up for a salon that has outgrown Lite’s caps and needs staff capacity, though its customer database remains limited to 500.

Growth costs 8.00 USD per month, billed RM8/day. It covers 10+ stores, unlimited products and unlimited CRM, adds staff commissions, includes Essential features, and lists Xero, Shopify and WooCommerce integrations. It is the better fit for larger or multi-store operators that need those integrations and broader customer capacity. Qashier also offers a free trial.

Platforms

Qashier supports Android, iOS, web and API access. QashierHQ is accessible through a browser and Android device, while the Qashier HQ mobile app is available for iPhone and Android. This mix supports both back-office access and mobile use across common devices.

Who it's for

Qashier is best for Malaysian salons, spas and wellness businesses that want bookings, POS, local payment methods and loyalty in one platform. Its range of payment methods and connected operating tools are useful for businesses handling both appointments and in-person sales. It is less suitable for a small salon that needs a genuinely unrestricted free POS, or for an operation whose needs are limited to appointments.

Pros and cons

Pros: Online booking, instant confirmation, package redemption and a POS-synced team calendar connect appointment workflows with sales.
Pros: Malaysian card, QR and e-wallet acceptance, alongside payment-linked points, vouchers and promotions, covers both checkout and retention.
Pros: Essential and Growth remove Lite’s staff restrictions; Growth adds unlimited products and CRM, commissions and named integrations.
Cons: Lite caps products at 25, applies monthly sales and staff limits, and excludes card payments and staff management.
Cons: Lite has email-only support, while faster support channels require a paid plan.
Cons: Essential limits CRM to 500 customers, so businesses with a larger customer base need Growth.

Alternatives

For a salon-focused loyalty comparison, browse Salon Loyalty Software; for broader checkout options, see Point-of-Sale Software.

meed is worth considering if a free loyalty option for up to 50 members is the priority; its Pro plan is 59.00 USD per month. SalonHub360 may suit a single-staff salon seeking a 19.99 USD per month Starter plan with online booking and client management. For restaurant-oriented POS needs, SpotOn Restaurant offers POS software and hardware, ordering and payments under a two-year minimum term, with processing minimums applying.

Cuppacard is another loyalty alternative, with a 10.00 GBP per month plan for up to 50 monthly active users and a first month free. Salonist has a free Marketplace Listing plan with 50 appointments per month, online booking and staff shift management. Puraskar offers a free plan for one branch, three staff accounts and 500 customers. Kitomba and Meevo are additional paid salon software alternatives.

Verdict

Choose Qashier if you run a Malaysian salon or spa and want local payment acceptance, bookings, POS and loyalty connected in one system. Its strongest case is the combination of salon operations and payment-linked retention, with meaningful room to scale on Growth. Look elsewhere if you need a fully capable free tier: Lite’s product, sales and staff caps, missing card payments and lack of staff management make it a constrained starting point rather than a complete long-term setup.
