Overview

Power Planner is a student planner for managing class schedules, assignments, exams, grades, and GPA in one place. It suits students who want a semester-based academic organizer across devices; students with unusual rotating timetables or who rely on a learning-management integration should look elsewhere.

Its strongest case is the combination of schoolwork tracking and grade planning, with Google Calendar integration and an optional online account. The free plan is useful for trying the workflow, but its semester and grade caps make the one-time Premium purchase the practical choice for students managing a fuller academic record.

Key features

Assignments and exams: Add due dates and receive automatic reminders, which makes the app useful for keeping upcoming work visible. Recurring study sessions are supported; revision scheduling is not.
Grades and GPA: Track grades by class, calculate GPA across semesters, and use “What If?” mode to consider how possible grades could affect results. This gives grade-conscious students a planning tool alongside the task list.
Class schedules: Enter class times and room locations, then view the week’s timetable. Standard and rotating A/B week schedules are supported, but fully custom non-A/B schedules are not, limiting its fit for schools with more complex rotations.
Calendar sync: Classes and homework can appear in Google Calendar. Linking it requires read/write calendar permission; the privacy policy says Power Planner does not store or access information from the Google account.
Accounts and data: An online account is optional, and the privacy policy says local-account data remains on the device. Online-account data is stored in a database on Microsoft Azure, with basic telemetry collected through Microsoft Application Insights; database access is limited to BareBones Dev and trusted contractors.
Support: Help is provided by email. The maker says one developer maintains the app without dedicated support staff, so replies may take several days—a drawback if you need prompt assistance.

Pricing

Free: 0.00 USD per free. It includes one semester, up to five grades per class, one repeating bulk task or event entry, and one photo attachment per item. That is enough to assess the planner or manage a limited set of school records, but the grade and semester caps are restrictive for ongoing use.

Premium: 4.99 USD per month, billed One-time, lifetime purchase. It removes the semester limit and allows more than five grades per class. The one-time lifetime term makes it the clear fit for students who need a complete multi-semester record; the free tier gives up that capacity and retains the listed entry and attachment caps.

Platforms

Power Planner supports Android, iOS, Windows 10+, Mac, and web browsers. The web version is marked beta, so students choosing a browser-based workflow should account for that status.

Who it's for

Power Planner is best for students who want schedules, due-dated assignments, grades, and GPA calculations together, especially if Google Calendar visibility matters. It is a weaker choice for students whose timetable cannot be represented as a standard or A/B rotation, or who need Canvas or Blackboard integration; neither platform is supported.

Pros and cons

Pro: Assignment reminders, class schedules, grade tracking, GPA calculations, and “What If?” planning cover several academic needs in one app.
Pro: Optional online accounts let users keep data on-device if they prefer not to create one.
Pro: Premium is a one-time lifetime purchase despite being labeled per month, and lifts the semester and five-grade limits.
Con: The free plan allows only one semester and five grades per class, which can constrain a continuing academic record.
Con: Fully custom non-A/B schedules and Canvas or Blackboard integration are unsupported.
Con: Email support may take several days because the app is maintained by one developer without dedicated support staff.

Verdict

Choose Power Planner if you want academic scheduling and assignment tracking alongside grades and GPA planning, and its standard or A/B timetable fits your school. Its optional local account and lifetime Premium purchase are meaningful strengths; look elsewhere if you need a custom rotation, Canvas or Blackboard integration, or a free plan without tight semester and grade caps.
