Overview

Veterical is practice-management software for veterinary clinics that want clinical records, scheduling and administrative work in the same system. It suits practices that need more than appointment booking; the key trade-off is a stated security limitation that cautious clinics should weigh before adopting it.

Key features

Animal records bring medical histories, vaccinations, allergies, treatments, prescriptions and clinical notes together. Species-aware information and weight-based treatment workflows make the clinical tools relevant to veterinary care, rather than simply adapting a general-purpose calendar. Clinics can also prepare estimates and invoices, record payments, track medication and supply inventory in the patient workflow, and use reporting.

The calendar coordinates veterinarians, rooms and procedures, and supports online booking against real-time availability. Confirmations and automatic reminders help connect booking with appointment follow-through. That breadth is useful for clinics coordinating several parts of an appointment; a practice seeking only a lightweight booking tool may find the wider practice-management scope unnecessary.

One account supports multiple locations, staff, veterinarians, rooms and schedules, with role-based access. Clinics can import client and animal data, and the support team can help plan migration from spreadsheets or another practice system. Those capabilities make the product more compelling for clinics consolidating workflows or moving from an existing system than for teams that only need a standalone calendar.

Veterical's REST API covers clients, patients, appointments, invoices, payments and vaccinations. Keys are clinic-scoped, start read-only, and have scopes and per-key rate limits; signed webhooks are documented. The hosted OAuth 2.0 MCP connector is much narrower: it is read-only and limited to administrative data, with no access to animal or owner records or clinical notes. It should not be treated as a route to clinical data.

The maker describes cloud access across desktop, tablet and mobile and availability in 96 languages. Its privacy policy says personal information is held behind secured networks with limited access, sensitive or credit information is SSL-encrypted, and card transactions go through an external PCI-compliant gateway. However, the policy also says the maker does not use vulnerability scanning or malware scanning. That is a material security caveat for clinics evaluating software that handles sensitive client and clinical workflows.

Pricing

Veterical uses a freemium model. The Free plan is 0.00 USD per free, and no usage caps are stated. That makes it a reasonable starting point for clinics evaluating whether a consolidated practice workspace fits their needs, but the absence of stated caps should not be taken as a promise of unlimited use. No paid plan price is provided; any paid plan is custom pricing.

Platforms

Veterical is listed for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS and Windows, and works in modern web browsers. Its developer API adds an integration route for supported systems. The range gives clinics flexibility across desktop and mobile devices, while the API offers scoped access rather than unrestricted data access.

Who it's for

Veterical is a strong fit for veterinary practices that want animal records, clinical notes, appointment coordination, billing, payments and inventory in one workspace, especially those managing multiple clinic locations. It is less suited to clinics that only need scheduling or that require stronger assurances around vulnerability and malware scanning before putting sensitive workflows in a system.

Pros and cons

Pros: Clinical records include histories, vaccinations, allergies, treatments, prescriptions and notes, with species-aware and weight-based workflows for veterinary care.
Pros: Scheduling, real-time online booking, reminders, billing and inventory connect appointment administration with patient workflows.
Pros: Multi-location support, role-based access and migration assistance can help practices consolidate or move from existing systems.
Cons: The privacy policy says vulnerability and malware scanning are not used, a significant concern for clinics handling sensitive information.
Cons: The assistant connector cannot read clinical notes or animal and owner records, limiting its usefulness for clinical-data tasks.

Alternatives

For a narrower focus on scheduling, browse Veterinary Appointment Scheduling Software. Choose SchedulingKit instead if a freemium booking tool with a published cap of 50 bookings per month, one team member and one event type better matches a small scheduling need. NaVetor is another freemium veterinary option; its Patterson Pay plan offers full feature access at no charge when using Patterson payment services, subject to transaction-volume eligibility.

If the priority is a limited free assistant workflow, AllEars.Vet offers a free tier with monthly consultation, patient, chat-message and prescription caps. For straightforward clinic booking, EasyWeek for Veterinary Clinics has a free-forever plan with essential features and basic booking functionality. Reservio may suit a general booking need: its free plan allows 40 bookings per 30 days and 100 clients.

Bookerva is a web-based booking alternative with a free Starter plan capped at 50 bookings per month, one staff member and one location. For clinics considering paid practice-management software, Provet Cloud is a paid web option, while Vetster for Clinics is a paid option for Android, iOS and web.

Verdict

Veterical is best for clinics that want clinical and administrative work, including multi-location coordination, in one veterinary-focused system. Its integrated records, scheduling, billing and inventory are the main reason to choose it over a booking-only tool. Look elsewhere if the absence of vulnerability and malware scanning is unacceptable for your clinic, or if you need an assistant connector that can access clinical records.
