Overview

Raindrop brings purchasing requests, supplier management, sourcing, contracts, eProcurement, invoice processing, analytics, and risk management into one platform. That gives procurement, finance, legal, IT, and operations teams a shared way to route work and manage approvals. The scope has clear boundaries: Raindrop complements rather than replaces an ERP, and it is not a general help desk, public supplier marketplace, or general-purpose BI tool.

Key features

Connected procurement and contract workflows

Intake, request routing, supplier onboarding, a request catalog, policy controls, approvals, sourcing, purchasing, and accounts payable cover much of the path from a request to an invoice. Contract tools support authoring, negotiation, approval, version control, obligation tracking, and AI-assisted analysis. This breadth can reduce handoffs between teams, but organizations that need only purchasing approvals may not need a platform spanning the full lifecycle.

Rain AI and integrations

The Rain AI agent can answer questions, find information, and take actions across Source-to-Pay workflows. RainConnect includes connectors for SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday, Slack, DocuSign, Adobe Sign, ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, and supplier-risk data providers. Raindrop says business users can configure most integrations through a low-code interface powered by Workato; that is useful for teams seeking to connect existing systems without making every integration a custom project.

Deployment and security

Raindrop says a single module can go live in as little as one week, while a full Source-to-Pay deployment typically takes two to three months. That gives buyers a route to a narrower initial rollout, but a complete deployment requires a longer implementation window. The platform is built on Google Cloud. A-LIGN conducted a SOC 2 audit and issued a SOC 2 Type II report, which Raindrop provides through its security team.

Pricing

Raindrop uses a paid model with custom pricing; prospective customers are invited to request a demo. Without a published subscription price, buyers should request a quote for their intended modules and deployment scope. There are no free or self-serve plans described, so it is less suited to individuals or small teams looking to start without a sales process.

Platforms

Raindrop is available on the web and through an API. Single sign-on is supported, which fits organizations integrating access with their existing business systems.

Who it's for

Raindrop is aimed at enterprises and public-sector organizations, particularly procurement, finance, IT, operations, and legal teams that need to coordinate purchasing and related controls. It is a stronger fit when several workflows and departments need to connect than when the need is limited to a standalone help desk, BI tool, or ERP replacement.

Pros and cons

Broad Source-to-Pay coverage: Requests, suppliers, sourcing, contracts, purchasing, invoices, analytics, and risk workflows sit within one platform.
Integration options: Connectors span major business systems and collaboration tools, with most integrations configurable through a low-code interface, according to Raindrop.
AI across workflows: Rain AI supports questions, information discovery, and actions, while contract tools include AI-assisted analysis.
ERP remains necessary: Raindrop complements ERP systems rather than replacing them, so it adds to rather than eliminates that core system.
Significant full-rollout commitment: A complete deployment typically takes two to three months, even though a single module may go live in as little as one week.
Custom pricing: Buyers must request a demo and pricing rather than compare a published subscription price.

Vendorfi is a more focused option for vendor lifecycle management: its free plan allows three active vendors and two user seats, while its Core plan is 299.99 USD.
ControlHub may suit teams focused on purchasing approvals; its Approvals plan costs 249.00 USD per month and includes unlimited purchasing requests and requester users, with five advanced users.
Omnea is another paid option on web and API.
ORO Labs is another paid web option.
Proconomy is another paid option on web and API.

Verdict

Choose Raindrop Systems if your enterprise or public-sector organization needs connected procurement, contract, supplier, and finance workflows alongside an ERP. Its strongest case is the breadth of its Source-to-Pay coverage, integrations, and AI assistance. Look elsewhere if you need an ERP replacement, a general help desk, a self-serve low-cost plan, or a narrower tool with transparent pricing.
