Overview

PodView turns an RSS feed or YouTube channel or playlist into a podcast website with episode pages, show notes, search, and automatic episode syncing. It suits independent podcasters who want a polished home for a show without building a site from scratch. Its free tier includes every professional theme, but a custom domain, persistent player, and richer analytics require a paid plan.

Key features

Import from RSS or YouTube gives creators a direct route to a site, with episodes syncing automatically; the sync interval depends on the plan. Professional themes are included even on Free, so the entry plan does not restrict the visual templates. Sites can use custom domains on paid plans, with automatic SSL certificates, including for custom domains.

Episode pages can include show notes and search, and episodes with a Podcasting 2.0 HLS video stream can play inline. The persistent audio player starts with Indie, making that plan a more practical listening destination than Free. Free also lacks consumption analytics; paid plans add per-episode plays, completion rates, and drop-off data to first-party, cookieless audience analytics.

Audience tools include email signups, reviews, contact forms, voicemail collection, and guest management, with access varying by plan. Integrations include Mailchimp, Kit, Hostinger Reach, Google Analytics 4, Patreon, Google AdSense, and automation webhooks for services such as Zapier, Make, IFTTT, n8n, and Pipedream. Paid plans provide llms.txt and Markdown mirrors for AI discovery; Producer adds controls over how AI assistants describe and cite a show.

Subscribers and guests can be exported as CSV, and the maker says the domain and RSS feed remain yours if you leave. That portability is useful for creators wary of locking their audience or identity into a site service.

Pricing

Plan	Price and billing	Best fit
Free	0.00 USD per free; free forever, no credit card required	A new or budget-conscious show that can use a PodView subdomain and forgo consumption analytics and a persistent player.
Indie	5.99 USD per month; Billed $71.88 once a year	A creator ready for a custom domain, persistent player, AI-ready discovery pages, contact form, reviews, and per-episode analytics.
Creator	9.99 USD per month; Billed $119.88 once a year	A show that needs hourly syncing, custom pages and a blog, AI writing and review tools, email-list building, voicemail and guest management, or Mailchimp, Kit, and Hostinger Reach integrations.
Producer	19.99 USD per month; Billed $239.88 once a year	A more established operation seeking 30-minute syncing, removal of PodView branding, AI citation controls, advanced SEO, members-only episodes, and automation webhooks.

Free is a genuine permanent starting point, but its PodView subdomain and missing player and consumption analytics are meaningful trade-offs for a public-facing show. Indie is the least expensive route to a custom domain and per-episode analytics. Creator and Producer chiefly justify their higher annual commitments through faster syncing and more involved publishing, audience, and automation tools. Paid prices are monthly equivalents billed once a year.

Platforms

PodView is a web service. The sites it builds receive automatic SSL certificates, including when a custom domain is used.

Who it's for

PodView is strongest for independent podcasters and creators who want an attractive, search-ready website tied to an existing feed, without assembling a site themselves. Free is suitable for trying a PodView-hosted presence; Indie makes more sense when branding and episode-level audience insight matter. Creator and Producer fit shows that will use their added publishing, audience, or workflow features. It is less compelling for a creator who requires a custom domain, persistent listening, or consumption analytics without moving to a paid annual plan.

Pros and cons

Pro: All professional themes are included on Free, so the entry plan retains the design options rather than reserving them for paid subscribers.
Pro: RSS and YouTube imports with automatic syncing reduce the need to maintain episode pages by hand.
Pro: CSV exports for subscribers and guests, plus the maker's assurance that the domain and RSS feed remain yours, support audience and identity portability.
Con: Free uses a PodView subdomain and omits a persistent player and consumption analytics, limiting its fit as a complete listener-facing home.
Con: Sync frequency varies by plan, so creators who need quicker updates must choose a higher tier.
Con: The paid plans are billed annually, requiring a larger upfront payment than their monthly-equivalent prices suggest.

Alternatives

Podcast Website Builders is a useful category starting point for comparing services. Consider Podcast.page if its free website option or Creator plan at 12.90 USD per month, billed monthly, better matches your budget and needs; its free plan includes one site, templates, RSS import, and a watermark, while Creator removes the watermark. Choose SupaPass Podcast Website Builder if you want to compare a free website plan that includes a sitewide player, member login, and comments, or need Android and iOS as well as web access.

Podpage is worth considering if a paid service with a free trial, daily backups, and automatic episode importing is a better fit; its Basic plan is 12.00 USD per month, billed yearly, or $19/mo month-to-month. MyPodOps Website Builder may suit a creator comparing a paid, trial-offering service with stated monthly audio, video, contact, and storage allowances; Starter is 19.00 USD per month. Beamly is another paid, trial-offering web option, with a Starter plan at 18.00 USD per month billed annually and a stated allowance of one podcast, one website, 1,000 free members, and one team seat.

For a hosting-oriented alternative, Podbean has a free plan with five hours of storage, 100GB monthly bandwidth, and limits on episode frequency, file size, and RSS feed episodes. Acast may be preferable if ads and sponsorships are central: its Essential plan includes them at 14.99 USD per month billed yearly, while Starter covers one show and five episodes. OnPodium is a paid, trial-offering alternative whose Starter plan is 9.00 USD per month and includes 150 minutes of podcast processing monthly, one website, one custom domain, and unlimited episode pages and AI blog posts.

Verdict

PodView is a strong fit for independent podcasters who want a professional site connected to their existing show and value automatic importing, audience tools, and portable subscriber data. Its free themes make it a credible place to start, while Indie supplies the domain, player, and per-episode analytics that make a site more useful to listeners and its owner. Look elsewhere if those essentials must come without an annual paid commitment, or if your priority is a platform with a different publishing or membership model.
