Overview

Customers can choose and customize menu items, optionally enter loyalty-program details, pay using their preferred method, and receive a document with an order number. Orders can go to production through a monitor or pager, and customers can be notified when food is ready for pickup or table delivery. That links self-service ordering to fulfillment, while leaving the exact workflow dependent on the configuration selected.

MyKiosk supports counter, fast-food, self-service, table-service, and takeaway sales. The software can also manage table delivery, takeaway, and delivery orders, making it relevant to businesses that combine several ways of serving customers rather than only replacing counter ordering.

Key features

The ordering flow can be configured for multiple languages, loyalty programs, and delivery options. Automated suggestions can surface products, add-ons, or combinations. Stores and restaurant chains can customize menu display, products, ordering content, payment methods, and delivery types. This breadth is useful when a business needs distinct ordering flows, but buyers should establish which customizations and payment methods their setup will include.

The complete kiosk can include a 22–27 inch touchscreen, fiscal or non-fiscal printer, QR-code reader, and bank POS; automatic cash handling is optional. MyKiosk can work on its own or connect to MyTec cash systems and other restaurant cash-register software. MyTec also names Al Volo, Qodeup, Pienissimo, TheFork PAY, and Deliverect among its integrations and add-ons. The complete version uses a cloud portal and database for management and reporting; hardware-only buyers should not assume that software configuration is part of their purchase.

An outdoor version is designed to operate from -20°C to +40°C, extending the product to locations exposed to outdoor temperatures. The kiosk enclosure has a sealed closure system. An optional cloud-based Datastore service supports off-site backup and remote backup scheduling, while support includes tickets, phone assistance during service hours including evenings and holidays, urgent on-site interventions, and a 7/7 help desk.

Pricing

MyKiosk is paid, with custom pricing. The choice is between a complete hardware-and-software kiosk and hardware only, so the quote should make clear which components and software configuration are included. Automatic cash handling is optional, and the complete kiosk's hardware components can vary; buyers should confirm the equipment, integrations, support, and backup requirements they want covered.

Platforms

MyKiosk is offered for web and Windows. Its kiosk platform is Windows, which matters for businesses standardizing on another kiosk operating system.

Who it's for

MyKiosk is aimed at restaurants, fast-food venues, pizzerias, bars, self-service venues, takeaway businesses, and restaurant chains. It is a stronger fit for operators who need menu and order-flow customization, several sales modes, or compatibility with existing restaurant cash-register software. A venue seeking a straightforward kiosk with a published price may prefer to compare simpler options before requesting a custom quote.

Pros and cons

Pros

Several service modes: Supports counter, fast-food, self-service, table-service, and takeaway sales, with delivery-order management as well.
Flexible order flow: Customers can customize items and use loyalty details, while orders can be routed to production and customers notified when ready.
Choice of setup: Available as a complete kiosk or hardware only, with cash-register connections and optional automatic cash handling.
Outdoor option: The outdoor version is specified for operation from -20°C to +40°C.

Cons

Custom pricing: Buyers must obtain a quote to compare the cost of the required configuration.

Configuration choices matter: Hardware, software, integrations, and optional services need to be matched to the venue's workflow and requirements.

Alternatives

Verdict

MyKiosk is best suited to food-service operators that need a configurable self-ordering kiosk across multiple service modes, especially when order routing and cash-register compatibility matter. Its range of hardware and software choices is the main reason to consider it; custom pricing and the need to settle configuration details are the main reasons to look elsewhere if a simple, immediately comparable purchase is the priority.
