Overview

WHIZCargo is freight-management software spanning air, sea, road and multimodal operations, from the first inquiry through billing. It is best suited to freight businesses with varied transport and operational needs that want to configure a system around selected modules. Its breadth is a strength, but the fit depends on the scope of deployment and a custom-priced sales discussion.

Key features

The product covers quotation, booking, documentation, EDI, customs clearance, operations and billing. Its 25 modules span air cargo, sea and liner operations, multimodal and land, and operations and finance. Customers can select modules and add more as they grow; configuration-driven workflows allow new workflows without custom code. That flexibility can suit changing operations, though the breadth makes it important to establish which modules and processes a deployment will cover.

Specialist workflows address distinct freight roles. For ground handling agents, the air cargo module combines acceptance with live weight and balance validation, ULD allocation and tracking, dangerous-goods workflows, VCHS and billing tied to airline contracts. NVOCC operators get container consolidation and deconsolidation, HBL-to-MBL reconciliation with variance flags, carrier API booking, EDI manifesting and revenue accounting. These capabilities make WHIZCargo more relevant to operators with these specific workflows than to businesses seeking only basic shipment tracking.

WHIZAI is described as supporting customs pre-filing, bill-of-lading exception prediction, trade-lane demand forecasting, rate intelligence and document AI. Integration options include REST APIs, webhooks, SAP IDoc, OAGIS BOD, UN/EDIFACT, ANSI X12, CUSCAR/CUSDEC, COPRAR, COARRI and BAPLIE, as well as CSV/XLSX and FTP/SFTP. E-commerce logistics workflows can import orders from Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and Amazon Seller Central.

Purpose-built iOS and Android apps for customers and operational staff support scanning, photo and signature capture, GPS and offline mode. Hosting is available as a single-tenant cloud deployment hosted by WHIZTEC or as a self-hosted enterprise option. Typical mid-market deployments are described as going live in 8–16 weeks; larger enterprise rollouts can take longer and proceed in phases.

Pricing

WHIZCargo has custom pricing. Prospective customers need to contact sales, and WHIZTEC offers a 30-minute walkthrough with a Solutions Architect. With no published plan price to compare, buyers should establish the cost and scope for their chosen modules and deployment before committing.

Platforms

WHIZCargo supports Android, iOS, API access and self-hosted deployment. Its mobile apps add field capabilities such as scanning and offline use, while self-hosting gives enterprises a deployment choice alongside WHIZTEC-hosted single-tenant cloud.

Who it's for

WHIZCargo targets freight forwarders, NVOCC and LCL consolidators, liner agencies, ground handling agents, ship and feeder agencies, and project and courier operators. It is the stronger fit for organizations whose workflows span multiple transport modes or require specialized operational modules. A smaller operation with straightforward needs may find the broad modular scope and sales-led pricing harder to justify.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad freight lifecycle coverage: Inquiry, quotation, booking, customs, documentation, operations and billing sit within one system across four transport modes.
Expandable modular configuration: Customers can select modules and activate more as operations grow, with new workflows configured without custom code.
Deep role-specific workflows: GHA and NVOCC functions cover operational details such as ULD tracking, HBL-to-MBL variance flagging and EDI manifesting.
Multiple integration paths: The combination of APIs, webhooks, industry standards, file formats and e-commerce order imports supports varied connections.
Flexible hosting and mobile work: Single-tenant cloud or self-hosted deployment is available, alongside mobile apps with offline mode.

Cons

Custom pricing requires a sales conversation: Buyers cannot readily compare a published plan price and need to discuss module and deployment scope.
Large enterprise rollouts can take longer: The 8–16 week typical mid-market timeline does not apply as a firm schedule to larger phased deployments.
Its breadth may exceed simpler operations' needs: Organizations that need only basic freight workflows may not benefit from a system organized around 25 modules and multiple specialist roles.

Alternatives

Compare freight forwarding software if you want to consider a wider set of category options.

CargoWise is another paid option with Android, iOS, API and self-hosted support, plus web and Windows. Its listed eCommerce Value Pack is 0.20 USD per once, billed Per Package, for high-volume low-value clearances; consider it if that specific package and its platform range suit your needs.
Logipulse Freight Forwarding Software has a free trial and supports Android, iOS, API, Linux, self-hosted, web and Windows. CocoonFMS offers a free trial and web and API platforms. Its CocoonTMP plan is 0.50 GBP per month per shipment for 1,001–10,000 monthly shipments, with a minimum spend of £300 per month; compare it if that shipment band matches your volume.
Shipthis offers a free trial, Android, iOS, API and web support, and a plan at 89.00 USD per month per user. Magaya Supply Chain is another paid option with web support.
Logitude has a free trial and supports iOS and web. Its Smart plan is 75.00 USD per month per user and includes 5 dashboards, 1,000 automation credits per user, lite customization and lite task management; compare it if those specific inclusions suit your needs.

Verdict

WHIZCargo is a strong candidate for freight forwarders and related operators whose work crosses transport modes or requires specialist air, NVOCC, liner or land workflows. Its modular configuration, integration breadth and hosting choices are compelling reasons to consider it. Look elsewhere if you need transparent upfront pricing or a narrower system for simpler operations; WHIZCargo requires a sales discussion to establish scope and cost.
