Overview

PMX is designed for residential, office, industrial, retail, and mixed-use properties. It brings leasing, financial, and operational data together, covering workflows from tenant screening and ID verification to maintenance and accounting. That range can suit teams coordinating multiple property functions; smaller operators seeking a narrowly focused tool may find the scope more than they need.

Access spans web and Windows, with mobile access for iOS and Android. MRI describes its cloud environment as including backups, disaster recovery, and redundant systems. Its hosting description does not establish PMX-specific security certifications, so organizations with certification requirements should confirm those before choosing it.

Key features

Property operations and leasing

Work orders, maintenance requests, preventive maintenance, inspection checklists, vendor management, and asset management cover both incoming service needs and recurring facilities work. Space management and lease tools add amendment tracking, document storage, and critical-date alerts. This is a substantial operational toolkit for managers handling varied properties, though teams should weigh that breadth against their own workflows rather than assume every function will be useful.

Accounting and portfolio insight

Financial planning, forecasting, cash-flow management, reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable put core accounting work alongside property operations. An AI-powered assistant answers questions about portfolio performance with actionable insights, which may help teams explore performance data without relying only on standard reports.

Resident services and integrations

Residents can make online rent payments, submit maintenance requests, exchange messages, and share documents. Submetering supports allocation, and MRI says PMX connects with MRI and third-party applications. Its partner ecosystem includes AvidXchange for accounts payable automation and Zego for payments, resident services, and utility billing. Those named connections offer possible extensions, but buyers should confirm that the integrations they depend on match their requirements.

Configuration and support

Data import and export, built-in tools, and APIs support customization of pages, reports, and workflows. MRI also describes implementation support from an implementation team, certified experts, and specialized resources. PMX support is available by phone at 877-579-8896, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM ET.

Pricing

PMX is paid software with custom pricing; prospective customers can request a demo. There is no public price to compare against portfolio size or budget, so teams should ask for a quote tailored to their properties and confirm any implementation and service costs before committing. No public seat, unit, or trial terms are stated.

Platforms

PMX supports web and Windows access, plus mobile access on iOS and Android. MRI describes Platform X as web-based real estate accounting and property management software, while its training catalog describes installing X.5 Web and Windows on a single server. The product's API support also enables integrations and workflow customization.

Who it's for

PMX is aimed at property managers, owners, operators, occupiers, multifamily and commercial property teams, investment firms, and public housing providers. Its combination of accounting, leasing, resident services, and facilities management is most compelling for organizations coordinating several of those functions across a varied portfolio. A buyer looking primarily for a simple, low-cost solution should compare narrower options and request a PMX quote before deciding.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad coverage of accounting, leasing, maintenance, and resident services can consolidate important property workflows.
Pros: Data import and export, APIs, and built-in configuration tools support tailored pages, reports, and workflows.
Pros: Mobile access and resident-facing payments, messaging, maintenance requests, and document sharing extend beyond back-office management.
Cons: Custom pricing requires a demo and quote before buyers can assess the cost against their needs.
Cons: MRI's cloud description does not specify PMX-specific security certifications, which may matter to organizations with formal requirements.

Verdict

Choose PMX if your organization needs a broad system for property operations, leasing, accounting, and resident services across multiple property types. Its strongest case is the coverage of connected workflows, backed by configuration options and mobile access. Look elsewhere if transparent pricing or confirmed PMX-specific security certifications are essential before engaging a vendor.
