Overview

MORE MX is manufacturing software for coordinating production, with materials planning, finite-capacity scheduling and shop-floor feedback. It best suits make-to-order operations that need to connect production decisions with EXO data. Its planning tools cover important material and capacity constraints, but custom pricing and the EXO focus make it a poor fit for buyers seeking a clearly priced, standalone system.

Key features

Materials planning weighs stock, sales and purchase orders, multi-level bills of materials and existing production to suggest what to make or buy. That brings several sources of demand and supply into one planning decision; its value depends on whether those inputs reflect the operation being managed.

Workcenter schedules prioritize workload against finite capacity, forecast deliveries and support drag-and-drop what-if feedback. This is useful when planners need to see the likely effect of schedule changes rather than treating every workcenter as unconstrained.

The capacity calendar accounts for variable shifts, rosters, holidays, maintenance downtime, start times and breaks. Those operational details can make capacity estimates more realistic than a simple nominal-hours schedule. Factory screens collect job times and QA data in real time on touchscreens or standard PC terminals; barcode-driven workflows are also part of the platform. Together, these tools address both planning and shop-floor feedback, rather than scheduling alone.

MORE MX is described as a window into an EXO system and evaluates EXO-related production and inventory data. That makes it a more natural candidate for manufacturers already working with EXO than for those seeking an ERP-neutral planning layer.

Pricing

The MORE MX plan has custom pricing; pricing is on request. A free demo is available on request, but no trial length, seat allowance or subscription term is stated. Buyers should request a quote and demo to assess fit before committing. Separate sales and support email addresses and New Zealand and Thailand phone numbers are provided for contacting the company.

Platforms

MORE MX lists Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, web, API, extension and self-hosted platforms. The range may suit varied access and deployment needs, although the platform list alone does not establish which features run on each platform.

Who it's for

MORE MX is a sensible shortlist option for make-to-order manufacturers that need finite-capacity planning, materials calculations and shop-floor data collection, particularly where EXO production and inventory data are relevant. It is less compelling for buyers who need public pricing, a stated security or compliance commitment, or evidence of ERP flexibility beyond EXO.

Pros and cons

Pros: Materials recommendations account for stock, orders, multi-level BOMs and current production, giving planners a broader basis for make-or-buy decisions.
Pros: Finite-capacity schedules and a calendar that includes shifts, breaks and downtime reflect real production limits more closely than unconstrained scheduling.
Pros: Real-time collection of job times and QA data connects shop-floor feedback to the planning workflow.
Cons: Pricing is custom, so buyers cannot compare subscription costs without contacting sales.
Cons: The described ERP connection centers on EXO, which may not suit operations built around another system.
Cons: No security or compliance claim is stated, leaving a key consideration for organizations with formal assurance requirements.

Alternatives

Browse Advanced Planning and Scheduling Software to compare category options. frePPLe is worth considering for buyers who want a free open-source edition or cloud plans, including a Cloud option capped at six scenarios. Choose NETVIBES if a free plan and Android or iOS access matter more than MORE MX's manufacturing-specific planning focus.

Phoenix APS offers a free beta evaluation with a temporary license that is not for production use, so it suits evaluation rather than live operations. GE Vernova Proficy Plant Applications is an alternative for process, discrete and mixed manufacturing, with hosted or on-premises deployment options.

Bluemingo Production Planning & Scheduling is another paid web-based planning and scheduling option with pricing through its sales team. MDsyncNET is a paid alternative with Android, iOS and web platforms. PSIpenta Advanced Scheduling & Monitoring is a paid web-based alternative. Kinaxis Enterprise Scheduling is worth considering if you want to request a demo for a paid scheduling product whose pricing is also custom.

Verdict

Make-to-order manufacturers that need finite-capacity schedules, material planning and live shop-floor feedback should consider MORE MX, especially if EXO is already part of their operation. Its strongest case is bringing those manufacturing workflows together; the main reason to look elsewhere is the EXO-centered integration and custom pricing, which make it harder to assess for other ERP environments or budget-led shortlists.
