Overview

Mitratech CaseCloud is Salesforce-based software for managing legal matters and legal spend. It is best suited to law firms and public-sector teams that want casework and billing workflows in one system; teams looking for a published price or a free entry point should look elsewhere.

Its scope runs from client intake, matter tracking and document management to invoice processing, eBilling and budget collaboration. That breadth is useful for organizations coordinating legal work and spend, though it also makes CaseCloud a more specialized choice than a simple case tracker.

Key features

Casework and spend

CaseCloud brings intake, legal project management, document management, matter tracking and task management into the case workflow. A client portal gives clients a channel into that work. On the financial side, teams can process invoices, manage eBilling and timekeeper rates, negotiate and collaborate on budgets. The combination is its clearest advantage for organizations that need to follow both matters and their costs.

AI-powered automation is described for billing, document creation and matter updates. Document automation and time tracking are also supported. These functions can reduce repeated administrative work, but CaseCloud remains a platform for legal operations rather than a general-purpose productivity app.

Reporting and configuration

Salesforce reporting and analytics underpin real-time dashboards and reporting. Teams can tailor workflows, reports and metrics to their requirements, which favors organizations with processes that need to be reflected in the system. Integrations include iManage, Google Drive, Microsoft SharePoint, NetDocuments and Salesforce AppExchange products.

CaseCloud uses Salesforce security, with encryption and secure access controls; Mitratech cites industry standards and FEDRAMP certification. Its cloud access supports collaboration on legal data and cases. Mitratech says Salesforce's native architecture enables rapid implementation and scaling, but implementation speed will still depend on the organization's own requirements and complexity.

Pricing

CaseCloud is paid software with custom pricing. There is no free plan, and prospective customers are directed to request a personalized demo. That makes it a poor fit for teams that need to compare a firm per-seat price or start without a sales conversation; the published plan does not provide a price or seat terms to weigh against the product's broad scope.

Platforms

CaseCloud is available on Android, iOS and the web. Its cloud-based access is aimed at teams collaborating on cases and legal data, while the Salesforce foundation will be most relevant to organizations already comfortable building legal workflows around that platform.

Who it's for

CaseCloud makes the most sense for law firms and public-sector organizations that need matter management alongside invoice, eBilling and budget workflows, and have reason to customize reporting and processes. Teams that need only a lightweight case tracker, or want a transparent low-cost option before engaging a vendor, should compare alternatives first.

Pros and cons

Pro: Case management and legal spend functions sit in one platform, connecting matter work with invoices, rates and budgets.
Pro: Salesforce-based reporting, workflow customization and integrations with major document services give teams room to shape the system around established processes.
Pro: Client intake and a client portal support work that involves clients as well as internal legal teams.
Con: Custom pricing and no free plan make it difficult for smaller teams to assess cost without requesting a demo.
Con: The product's legal operations breadth may be more than teams need if their priority is a single, narrow workflow.

Alternatives

For immigration-focused work, compare Immigration Software. CampLegal is a paid option with a free trial and an Essentials plan at 69.00 USD per year, billed $69 per month, billed yearly, per user; it includes case management, a legal calendar, multilingual templates in 18 languages and a client dashboard. It is a clearer fit when those specific functions and stated per-user terms matter.

Jobbatical offers paid immigration services and a free trial; its South Africa assessment is 250.00 USD per once, billed per case. Choose it when a per-case South Africa immigration assessment is the relevant need. OnBlick has a free one-month I-9 Assist webinar offer with three user licenses and 10 Form I-9 transaction credits, making it worth considering for a short, limited I-9 evaluation rather than broader case and spend management.

CodioCMS is another paid option, with a retainer-plus-performance-share engagement. Immicase has a 29.00 CAD per month firm-priced KriftAI plan and a 49.00 CAD per month Solo plan, which may suit teams seeking its stated AI-assistant or solo-user offering. Immigence OS is a paid option with Professional and Enterprise plans.

8am DocketWise has a Basic plan at 80.00 USD per month on yearly pricing, with smart forms, case management, multilingual custom intakes and questionnaires, case and priority-date tracking, and a client portal; it is a more price-defined option for teams focused on those immigration workflows. Envoy Global Platform is another paid, web-based option.

Verdict

Choose Mitratech CaseCloud if your law firm or public-sector team needs casework and legal spend management together, with Salesforce reporting and customizable workflows. Its main draw is the connection between matter operations and financial processes; its main drawback is custom pricing with no free plan, so teams that need upfront cost clarity or a narrower tool should look elsewhere.
