Overview

Mathison brings together workforce measurement, DEI planning, inclusive sourcing and learning resources in a single web platform. Its central proposition is a path from identifying demographic gaps to setting priorities and supporting recruiting practices. That combination is most useful to organizations prepared to act on workforce data, rather than teams seeking a standalone recruiting or training tool.

The product is now part of changeforce. Mathison says its SOC 2 Attestation program covers data collection, storage and processing, supported by technical, administrative and contractual safeguards. It also says it uses anonymized aggregate data, dual authentication, passwords, file encryption and restricted employee access, and does not sell collected personal information.

Key features

Workforce measurement and planning

The Dashboard connects to an HRIS and measures gender, ethnicity, age and tenure across departments. That gives HR leaders a structured view of representation and workforce trends, though its usefulness depends on how well the HRIS connection fits the organization’s systems and data.

The Equity Index assesses 37 points across four employee-lifecycle categories, then provides development scores and stages. The Action Plan uses gaps and biases identified through that assessment, alongside research on 100 companies, to generate prioritized DEI goals. Together, these tools offer more direction than a dashboard alone; they are not a substitute for deciding which goals suit an organization’s context.

Groups supports managing DEI across company portfolios or subsidiaries, with access restricted to aggregated views. This is a practical distinction for organizations with multiple entities that need shared oversight without giving every user access to the same level of information.

Recruiting and resources

Sourcing Support analyzes skills and experience across more than 3,000 networks to surface candidates from 12 or more underrepresented communities. It can push leads to ATS platforms including iCIMS, Greenhouse, Workday and Lever. This may help talent teams broaden sourcing while keeping leads in their recruiting workflow, but organizations should confirm that their ATS is supported before choosing the platform.

The Knowledge Center includes more than 70 downloadable and shareable videos, guides and toolkits. Bias Scanner checks written communications for coded or exclusionary language, accessibility, clarity, jargon and buzzwords, using more than 4,000 terms and GPT-4. Monthly online training led by certified DEI experts is included, and private organizational training is also available. These resources give teams ways to apply the platform’s analysis in daily work, though no claim about outcomes should replace evaluating training needs directly.

Pricing

Mathison is paid, with custom pricing available on request. There is one described Paid plan; organizations should request a quote to determine its cost and confirm what the proposed package includes. No free plan or trial terms are provided, so teams evaluating it should expect to engage with the vendor rather than start with a self-serve option.

Platforms

Mathison is available on the web. Its analytics depend on an HRIS integration, and Sourcing Support can connect with named ATS platforms, so buyers should check that their systems and workflows are a fit.

Who it's for

Mathison is best suited to People, HR and Talent teams that want workforce demographics, DEI goal-setting and inclusive sourcing in one platform. Its Groups capability may be especially relevant to organizations managing subsidiaries or portfolios. It is a weaker fit for buyers who need transparent upfront pricing, a free evaluation path or a platform outside the web.
