Overview

Stippl brings trip logistics into a shared itinerary, with planning tools that extend from budgets to connectivity. It is a stronger fit for travelers coordinating with companions than for someone seeking only a simple route or checklist.

Its broad free tier covers unlimited trips and collaboration, while Pro adds repeated AI planning, exports and other workflow conveniences. That makes it easy to organize a trip at no cost, but not every useful part of the planning process stays free.

Key features

Stippl lets travelers map destinations and arrange stays, activities and transport in a day-by-day itinerary. Companions can view, suggest and edit the plan in real time, which is useful when decisions are shared rather than delegated to one organizer. Accommodation search connects to Booking.com, Airbnb and Hostelworld, and route planning helps put trip components in context.

AI can propose a day-by-day plan with activities and accommodation suggestions, and the results can be edited. The first AI itinerary is free; unlimited AI itinerary and day-plan generation and route optimisation require Pro. This is a meaningful boundary for travelers who expect to iterate repeatedly rather than use AI for a first draft.

The budget planner supports more than 100 currencies and converts logged expenses to a home currency, a practical aid for multi-country trips. Reservation import, packing lists and trip journals keep more trip administration together. Stippl also sells and activates local data plans in-app for more than 190 countries. Trip details are available offline in the mobile app, though the web version is not the offline option.

Pricing

Free costs 0.00 USD per free. It includes unlimited trips, destinations, activities, co-planners, expenses and journal entries. It excludes AI generation beyond the first itinerary, PDF export and calendar sync, making it a substantial option for organizing trips but a limited one for repeat AI planning or taking plans into other tools.

Pro is shown at 4.99 EUR per month, cancel any time, and includes 10 photos per destination in travel reels. Stippl Pro is also 4.99 EUR per month, cancel any time, and adds unlimited AI trip and day-plan generation, PDF export, email reservation import, calendar sync, CSV expense export and custom categories, and reusable packing lists. The two paid entries share the same monthly price but specify different inclusions; travelers should match the plan to the feature they need rather than assume the names describe identical bundles.

Platforms

Stippl is available on Android, iOS and the web. The mobile app is the platform for offline trip details; web access suits planning from a browser.

Who it's for

Stippl is well suited to groups who need one editable itinerary, travelers managing expenses in several currencies, and planners who want bookings, packing and journal tools alongside the schedule. It is less compelling for people who need frequent AI-generated revisions without paying, or who only want a bare itinerary without the surrounding trip-management features.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited trips and co-planners on Free make shared organization viable without a subscription.
Pros: Expense conversion across more than 100 currencies helps keep a multi-country budget legible.
Pros: Offline mobile trip details and in-app data plans for over 190 countries address practical needs during travel.
Cons: Free includes only the first AI itinerary; unlimited generation and route optimisation sit behind Pro.
Cons: PDF export and calendar sync are not part of Free, limiting portability and calendar-based planning for non-paying users.
Cons: The paid plan entries specify different feature bundles at the same price, so choosing requires attention to the exact inclusion.
