Overview

Userfeel is a continuous research service for product teams, agencies and ecommerce brands that need both participant recruitment and a range of usability methods. Its strongest fit is a team running recurring studies across markets; the annual credit and seat limits make it less suitable for occasional or unpredictable research.

Researchers can run moderated and unmoderated tests, surveys, card sorts and tree tests, recruiting from Userfeel’s panel of more than 1 million testers in over 40 languages or bringing their own participants. Filters cover country, language, age, gender, role and other criteria. Studies support desktop, mobile, tablet and app contexts, including prototypes.

AI summaries, sentiment analysis and recommendations tied to session evidence can speed review, while searchable, time-stamped voice transcripts help teams revisit specific moments. Userfeel says it complies with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2, as well as EU GDPR, UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018; its privacy policy says data is stored in the EU. Development and support are provided by Netstudio EE, whose employees have access to Userfeel servers and data for those purposes. Upload to YouTube sends a test video to the customer’s YouTube account as an unlisted video.

Key features

Multiple research methods: Moderated and unmoderated testing, surveys, card sorting and tree testing cover a broader research mix than usability sessions alone. Tree tests and card sorts are included in Team, so Solo users should not assume access to those methods.
Recruitment options: The large multilingual panel and demographic filters are useful when a team needs to reach specific audiences. Bringing your own testers provides another route, though the Free plan is limited to that approach.
AI-assisted review: Session summaries, sentiment analysis and evidence-linked recommendations aim to shorten analysis without severing suggestions from their session context. These tools are included in Team.
Session records: Searchable, time-stamped voice transcripts make it easier to locate comments, and the replacement guarantee addresses unsatisfactory tester sessions. Purchased credits remain valid for a full year, which gives teams time to schedule work within the annual cycle.

Pricing

Userfeel is freemium. The free tier offers a small monthly allocation; paid plans are annual, so the credit allowance and admin seats matter as much as the headline price. Purchased credits are valid for a full year, and the pricing includes a replacement guarantee for unsatisfactory tester sessions.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	3 credits per month, 1 admin, bring your own tester, demographic filters and screener questions.
Solo	3000.00 USD per year (billed $3,000/ year)	50 credits, 2 admins and 5 viewers, access to the 1M+ tester panel, moderated and unmoderated tests, and surveys.
Team	5500.00 USD per year (billed $5,500/ year)	100 credits, 3 admins and 10 viewers, non-English panel, AI analysis, tree tests and card sorts.
Enterprise	15000.00 USD per year (billed $15,000/ year)	300 credits, 5 admins, unlimited viewers, priority support and the best per-credit rate.
Custom	Custom pricing	Custom research rhythm, a dedicated success manager, custom invoicing and unlimited viewers.

Free can suit a small team validating a few ideas with its own testers, but 3 credits per month and one admin constrain regular work. Solo is the entry point for teams that need panel recruitment and core testing methods, although its 50 credits and two-admin cap may pinch a busy group. Team doubles the credits and adds non-English recruitment, AI analysis and two additional methods, making it the clearer fit for broader ongoing programmes. Enterprise raises the allowance to 300 credits and removes viewer limits, but still caps admins at five. Custom is the option for a different research rhythm or invoicing arrangement.

Platforms

Userfeel supports Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows. Studies can cover desktop, mobile, tablet and app contexts, so teams can include device-specific experiences rather than restricting research to a single screen type.

Who it's for

Userfeel suits product teams, agencies and ecommerce brands that expect to research continuously, need participant recruitment across languages, or want to combine testing with surveys and sorting methods. It is a weaker fit for one-off projects or teams that cannot plan around annual pricing and credit allocations. The Free plan can test a limited, self-recruited workflow, but its monthly cap is not a substitute for a sustained programme.

Pros and cons

Pro: A panel of more than 1 million testers across over 40 languages, with filters and the option to use a team’s own participants, supports targeted recruitment.
Pro: A broad method mix plus device and prototype support can keep several kinds of product questions in one service.
Pro: Annual credits last a full year, and unsatisfactory tester sessions qualify for a replacement guarantee.
Con: The paid plans are annual commitments, and finite credits may be a poor match for sporadic or hard-to-forecast research.
Con: Key capabilities are tiered: Team is required for AI analysis, tree tests, card sorts and the non-English panel, while the lower-cost Free tier requires own testers.
Con: Development and support provider employees have access to Userfeel servers and data for those purposes, a relevant consideration for teams evaluating data access arrangements.

Alternatives

Browse UX Research Software, Usability Testing Software or AI User Research Tools to compare category options.

Trymata is worth considering if buying test credits as needed and avoiding a subscription matters more than Userfeel’s annual credit structure; its PayGO plan stores results for up to six months. Lyssna may suit teams focused on quick studies: its free plan allows unlimited quick studies, three seats and 15 self-recruited test and survey responses. QuestionPunk is an alternative for teams seeking AI interviews and follow-ups, with a free Basic plan capped at 20 responses per month.

UXArmy may fit a smaller budget: its free plan has one full seat and 15 monthly credits, while recordings and a participant panel are excluded. Maze is another freemium option for teams comparing research tools. HeyMarvin is another freemium option. MUiQ is a paid alternative with unlimited concurrent studies and unlimited participant collection, but its Platform Access plan costs 59980.00 USD per year and includes five seats. Userlytics charges per participant or session, at $34/session, which may suit teams preferring session-based pricing over Userfeel’s annual credit packages.

Verdict

Choose Userfeel if your team runs research regularly and values panel recruitment, multilingual reach and several methods in one service. The clearest reason to look elsewhere is the annual commitment: teams with intermittent needs or a preference for buying sessions as they arise may be better served by a pay-as-you-go alternative.
