Overview

Manage brings intake and matter execution into configurable workflows, with dashboards, permissions, reporting and task tracking. Law firms can use it to coordinate multiple cases and remote teams; corporations can use it for process management, email visibility, resource planning and timelines. That breadth makes it more than a legal-hold tool, but teams seeking only a focused hold workflow may not need the wider platform.

Key features

Workflows, matters and documents

Users can design workflows around complex processes, while matter tracking, task management and dashboards help teams follow work across projects. The document repository centralizes files exchanged during projects, making retrieval part of the same workflow rather than a separate task.

Billing and conflict checks

Configurable rates, rush rates, billing sets and invoice templates give firms room to adapt billing to different client arrangements. Criteria-based conflict searches, automated triggers, comparative evaluations and links to external conflict-checking databases support screening, though organizations will need to assess how those checks fit their existing process.

Legal holds, email and access

Hold templates, custodian acknowledgments, automated reminders, response tracking, audit trails and centralized dashboards cover key hold administration needs. Integrated email keeps communications visible within process management. Active Directory synchronization supports single sign-on; two-factor authentication can be enabled, and access can be restricted by IP. Knovos says communications and project files are encrypted using current encryption standards.

Pricing

Knovos Manage is paid software with custom pricing. Standard licensing is described as cost-effective, while Pay-as-you-go uses a usage-based model; neither has a published amount. Buyers should compare the standard and usage-based terms against expected use before choosing a plan, since no seat count, quota, trial length or renewal term is stated.

Both models require a pricing conversation, so neither offers a transparent entry price for smaller teams to assess. Standard licensing may suit organizations seeking a conventional licensing arrangement; Pay-as-you-go is the usage-based option for buyers whose requirements fit that structure. The published plan descriptions do not establish what features differ between them.

Platforms

Manage is offered as web software and for self-hosted deployment. Knovos also offers cloud, on-premise and hybrid-cloud deployment, giving organizations deployment choices to discuss alongside their security and operational needs.

Who it's for

Manage is a strong candidate for law firms coordinating multiple client matters or corporations that want workflow, email, resource and timeline management in one system. Its configurable billing and legal-hold administration broaden its value for legal teams. Organizations that need only a narrow hold product, or that require a clear public price before evaluating software, should compare alternatives.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines matter workflows, document access, billing and hold administration, which can reduce the need to coordinate those functions across separate tools.
Pros: Cloud, on-premise, hybrid-cloud and self-hosted options give organizations multiple deployment paths.
Pros: Onboarding includes data migration, user training and product certification, alongside advertised 24×7 customer support.
Cons: Custom pricing and unpublished plan amounts make budgeting and plan comparison harder before contacting Knovos.
Cons: The two plan descriptions do not spell out feature differences, seats or usage limits, leaving buyers to clarify what each arrangement covers.

Alternatives

For a focused legal-hold shortlist, browse Legal Hold Software. Consider Sightline by Consilio if a web-based paid alternative with pricing on request and a demo offered fits your evaluation process.

Vidhaana Legal Hold Management is worth comparing if mobile access or a stated monthly price matters: its AI Power Plan is 999.00 INR per month, with full access for one team, no per-user fees and unlimited document reviews. Exterro eDiscovery is another web-based paid option, with pricing details available through a demo request.

Consider Relativity Legal Hold if API access matters; Legal Hold is licensed separately from its data-volume commitment. DISCO Ediscovery is a paid API and web option billed per GB of processed data, with no separate ingest, processing or user fees. Casepoint Legal Hold may suit buyers seeking pricing tailored to the applications and use cases they need, without paying for unused products.

OnitX CLM is another paid API and web option. Everlaw may suit teams comparing a data-managed or usage-based model, with flexible case or annual subscriptions, unlimited users and uploads, and credits required for some batch AI actions.

Verdict

Choose Knovos Manage if your legal or corporate team needs configurable matter workflows alongside billing, document access and legal-hold administration, and its deployment flexibility matters. Its breadth is the main reason to shortlist it; custom pricing and unclear plan distinctions are the main reasons to look elsewhere if a narrow tool or upfront cost clarity is a priority.
