Overview

KindEngage brings donation tools and supporter communications together: organizations can take donations through text-to-give, checkout, and campaign links, then manage conversations and follow-up in the same platform. That combination is more compelling for teams coordinating fundraising and outreach than for groups that need only a standalone texting service.

Key features

Fundraising and messaging

Text-to-give, donation checkout, campaign links, and live donation displays give organizations several ways to connect a campaign with giving. Mass texts can be personalized and scheduled, with photos, videos, and images, making the platform useful for both fundraising appeals and ongoing engagement. MMS and keyword texting are supported.

Automation and team inbox

Multi-step workflows can use conditional logic and time-based triggers, which helps teams build follow-up sequences rather than send every reminder manually. The shared two-way inbox adds assignment, internal notes, filters, search, and conversation history. These tools favor organizations where multiple people need to coordinate supporter conversations.

Connections, compliance, and support

KindEngage lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Zapier, Google Sheets, Stripe, Slack, Constant Contact, and 50+ integrations, alongside API access for custom integrations. It says payment processing is PCI-compliant and supports TCPA and GDPR compliance through opt-in management and consent records. Nonprofits receive email and chat support, video training, and a resource library; premium plans add a dedicated account manager. KindEngage says teams can send their first SMS in under five minutes without coding, and offers free onboarding training and setup assistance.

Multi-goal campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising, and AI-powered messages are marked as coming soon, so they should not factor into a purchase decision today.

Pricing

The Nonprofit Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free for organizations with under 500 contacts. That cap makes it a practical starting point for a small organization, but it limits its usefulness as the contact base grows.

Nonprofit pricing starts at $99.00 per month. The plan includes unlimited SMS recipients, email campaigns, no setup fees, and no long-term contracts. It is the more suitable tier for organizations that have outgrown the free contact limit or need ongoing campaigns without a recipient cap. KindEngage offers nonprofit discounts.

Platforms

KindEngage is available on the web, making it a fit for teams managing campaigns and shared conversations through a browser.

Who it's for

Nonprofits, faith organizations, community groups, churches, mosques, synagogues, food banks, and schools are its intended users. It is best suited to organizations that value fundraising and two-way messaging in one workflow; a group seeking only a basic texting tool may not need its broader platform.

Pros and cons

Pros: Fundraising, mass messaging, workflows, and a shared inbox sit in one platform, reducing the need to assemble those capabilities separately.
Pros: The free plan gives organizations with under 500 contacts a way to start without a subscription.
Pros: Unlimited SMS recipients and email campaigns at the $99.00 monthly starting price suit nonprofits sending to larger audiences.
Cons: The free tier's under-500-contact ceiling means growing organizations may need to move to a paid plan.
Cons: The $99.00 per month starting price is a meaningful commitment for a small organization that only needs occasional messaging.
Cons: Several fundraising and AI capabilities are still coming soon, so they are not current reasons to choose the product.

Verdict

KindEngage is a strong fit for nonprofits and faith communities that want fundraising, supporter messaging, automation, and team conversations under one roof. Its free plan lowers the barrier for organizations with under 500 contacts, while the $99.00 monthly starting price buys unlimited SMS recipients and email campaigns. Look elsewhere if your organization needs only simple texting or cannot justify that paid starting point.
