Overview

G HUB combines peripheral configuration with game-library and lighting tools. For players with multiple Logitech G devices, that means settings and synchronized effects can live in one place. It is not a universal control panel for other brands, so its appeal depends on owning compatible Logitech G hardware.

The Games feature can organize and launch libraries that include Steam and GOG titles. Account holders can also share and download profiles, lighting and other settings through the Community Library. Together, these features add useful convenience, though community sharing requires an account.

Key features

Device settings and game profiles

G HUB Basics covers DPI adjustments, assignments and LIGHTSYNC effects. KEYCONTROL provides an interface and feature set for configuring Logitech G keyboards, while game profiles allow settings to be organized around titles. This is a practical combination for players who tune their peripherals by game; it offers little to someone without Logitech G devices.

Lighting and integrations

LIGHTSYNC RGB supports custom animations, synchronization across G devices and Windows Dynamic Lighting. Game integrations include Logitech G integration in Final Fantasy XIV, while LIGHTSYNC has appeared in Star Wars: Battlefront II and Battlefield 1. These options make G HUB a stronger choice for a Logitech setup where coordinated lighting matters, though Windows Dynamic Lighting is a Windows-specific capability.

Audio, streaming and SDKs

Mixline offers audio routing, mixing and streaming tools. Streamlabs covers going live, viewer engagement, stream design and growth, extending the app’s reach beyond device configuration. Logitech also offers steering-wheel and LED-illumination SDKs, which require G HUB. These additions suit streamers and developers working with Logitech G equipment; they are less relevant to someone seeking only basic mouse or keyboard settings.

Pricing

G HUB is free, with two free plan entries priced at 0.00 USD per free. The Free plan includes LIGHTSYNC RGB customization, device configuration and presets, and game profiles. It suits Logitech G owners who want the core settings and lighting tools without a subscription.

The G HUB plan is also 0.00 USD per free and covers Logitech G gaming mice, keyboards, headsets, speakers and other devices. Both options are free, so there is no cheaper tier that trades away features. The plans describe different aspects of the free offering rather than a paid upgrade path.

Platforms

G HUB supports Windows and macOS, with compatibility for recent operating-system versions. The latest release notes say macOS Ventura support has been dropped, so users on Ventura should not assume the app will work for them. Check compatibility before relying on it, particularly if your Mac cannot move to a supported version.

With consent, G HUB may collect feature usage, device discovery and configuration, system information, performance and diagnostics data, crash data and application usage activity. Logitech says it uses TLS certificates, encryption, access limits, antivirus software and firewalls to reduce unauthorized access risks. Users who prefer not to share usage data should consider the consent choice carefully.

Who it's for

G HUB is the right fit for Logitech G owners who want device configuration, game-specific profiles and coordinated lighting in one app. Its game-library tools, community settings and streaming-related options add value for players and streamers who will use them. It is not a strong choice for people without Logitech G hardware or Mac users on Ventura.

Pros and cons

Pros: Device configuration, game profiles and LIGHTSYNC tools are combined in a free app, making it a practical hub for Logitech G setups.
Pros: Lighting synchronization, Windows Dynamic Lighting support and community-shared settings offer ways to customize beyond basic device setup.
Cons: Its device controls focus on Logitech G peripherals, limiting its usefulness for mixed-brand setups.
Cons: macOS Ventura support has been dropped, a material compatibility concern for users on that version.
Cons: Analytics may include device, system and application activity, although collection is consent-based.

Alternatives

Consider Razer Synapse if you want a free alternative that supports macOS, Windows and web access. Glorious CORE is another free option for configuring Glorious products; most products are supported, and cloud profile saving requires a Glorious ID.

8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 is free for supported 8BitDo devices, with Windows 10 (1903) or above and macOS 13.0 or above. Choose SteelSeries GG if you want a free download for macOS or Windows, with its plan specifying Windows 10+.

MonsGeek Driver is a free choice for keyboard driver and configuration downloads, though supported models vary by driver. NZXT CAM is Windows-only; its free plan requires no account, and system monitoring works without NZXT hardware.

Cooler Master MasterPlus+ is another free Windows option. For a Windows-PC configuration tool, VKBDevCfg Device Configurator is free and requires a Windows PC.

For broader category comparisons, see Gaming Peripheral Software, RGB Lighting Software and Keyboard and Mouse Customization Software.

Verdict

Choose G HUB if you own Logitech G peripherals and want a free place to manage settings, profiles and synchronized lighting. Its breadth is the main reason to pick it; its Logitech-specific scope and dropped Ventura support are the clearest reasons to look elsewhere.
