Overview

Market Dojo is a web-based procurement platform for sourcing and supplier engagement, with tools for onboarding and contract management. It is best suited to procurement teams that need configurable sourcing events and auctions alongside supplier questionnaires. Its breadth is compelling, but the free option is for testing with test suppliers; ongoing use calls for a paid plan or a custom quote.

Key features

Sourcing and auctions

Teams can run RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, add documents and advanced pricing tables, and configure weighted events. Auction formats include open, ranked, Japanese, forward and reverse, with automated features. This range suits teams that need more than a basic quote collection, while the practical value of the higher-end options depends on whether workflows such as multi-stage events or partial bidding are actually needed.

Questionnaires and supplier engagement

Supplier questionnaires support varied question types, weighted questions, tables and document uploads, with generative AI and automatic or manual scoring. That gives procurement teams several ways to structure and assess supplier responses. Supplier onboarding is also available as a dedicated plan, with a defined supplier allowance rather than an unrestricted supplier pool.

Integration, API and security

Integrations include multi-ERP, Focal Point, Esker, Veridion, Power BI, Microsoft Entra ID, Google SSO, Okta, Spend HQ–PMM and SAML. A RESTful API is available to all users, with live documentation for exploring its operation. Market Dojo states that it is ISO 27001 certified and hosts the software on Google Cloud Platform. This makes it relevant to teams considering integration and security requirements, though the actual combination of integrations needed should guide plan selection.

Support

Support is offered by live chat and email. The company aims to respond to email within three hours and resolve queries within eight; live chat runs on weekdays, typically from 08:45 to 17:00 GMT and CT zones. Those hours suit teams able to work within those windows, but are less convenient for urgent help outside them.

Pricing

Market Dojo has a free Sourcing Starter plan for creating test events and trying the tool as both buyer and supplier. It is limited to test suppliers, so it is an evaluation route rather than a free production tier. Paid sourcing plans have annual, monthly and single-event options; the annual licences are the lowest-cost listed route for sustained use.

Simple Sourcing — annual licence: 500.00 GBP per year (billed £500.00 /month (billed annually)). Includes Simple RFx and eAuctions, templates and libraries, Excel integration and custom fields, user management and live messaging. It suits teams with straightforward sourcing needs; it does not include the collaborative multi-scoring and weighted events of Pro.
Pro Sourcing — annual licence: 583.00 GBP per year (billed £583 /month (billed annually)). Adds collaborative multi-scoring and supplier participation, weighted events, API integration and a dedicated account manager. It is the stronger fit when evaluation is collaborative and structured scoring matters.
Advanced Sourcing — annual licence: 667.00 GBP per year (billed £667 /month (billed annually)). Adds advanced multi-stage RFx and eAuctions, advanced lots and partial bidding, and multi-currency events. Advanced analytics and automation require add-ons, so this tier does not include every advanced capability in its base offering.
Supplier Onboarding Simple: 833.33 GBP per year (billed £833.33 /month (billed annually)). Includes 500 suppliers, unlimited internal users, dynamic questionnaires, custom fields and scoring. Each additional 500 suppliers costs £1500 annual, a material consideration for larger supplier networks.

For shorter commitments or one-off events, Simple Sourcing is 1000.00 GBP per month (billed £1000.00/month (billed monthly)) or 1000.00 GBP per once (billed £1000.00/event (one off payment)). Pro Sourcing is 1500.00 GBP per month (billed £1500.00/month (billed monthly)) or 1500.00 GBP per once (billed £1500.00/event (one off payment)). Advanced Sourcing is 2000.00 GBP per month (billed £2000.00/month (billed monthly)) or 2000.00 GBP per once (billed £2000.00/event (one off payment)). The monthly and single-event routes cost more than the corresponding annual licence amounts, but avoid an annual billing commitment.

Pricing depends on users, suppliers or contracts; monthly costs may be discounted by user count and licence duration. Quotes for more than 5 users require contacting the company. Custom pricing is therefore relevant when team size or supplier and contract needs exceed the published plan boundaries.

Platforms

Market Dojo is available on the web and through an API. The RESTful API is available to all users, not just a higher sourcing tier.

Who it's for

Market Dojo is a reasonable fit for procurement professionals who need structured sourcing, varied auction formats, supplier questionnaires or onboarding in one procurement offering. The free test-supplier access helps teams assess event creation before committing. Teams needing production supplier access at no cost, or live-chat coverage beyond the stated weekday hours, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multiple sourcing and auction formats cover a wider set of procurement workflows than simple quote requests.
Pros: API access is available to all users, while Pro includes API integration as a plan feature.
Pros: Supplier onboarding includes 500 suppliers and unlimited internal users, with questionnaires and scoring built in.
Cons: The free plan is limited to test suppliers, so it cannot serve as a free operational tier.
Cons: Advanced analytics and automation are add-ons even on Advanced Sourcing.
Cons: Supplier Onboarding Simple has a 500-supplier cap, and adding each further 500 costs £1500 annual.

Its broad event formats and all-user API access are the clearest reasons to shortlist it. Look elsewhere if you need free production use, unrestricted supplier onboarding at the base allowance, or included advanced analytics and automation.
