Overview

LootAtlas is a game-mapping service for players who want help finding hidden locations and organising their progress. It will suit people who value community-made guides and shared planning; its main drawback is that coverage varies by game.

The directory contains 27 games and 189 interactive maps, with entries divided among available, highlights, and coming soon. Check that your game is available before making LootAtlas part of your routine: a broad directory does not mean every listed game is ready to use.

Key features

Maps and route planning

Interactive maps show points of interest and secret locations, while custom markers and item-found tracking help players keep a record of discoveries. Route planning adds practical value for players who want to organise a path rather than consult locations one at a time. Users can also draw routes and ambush points and share them with friends in real time, making LootAtlas useful for coordinating plans as well as solo exploration.

Community guides and game databases

Players can create and share custom maps, guides, images, and videos attached to locations. Guides can combine text and visuals, including YouTube videos, so contributors can explain a location in context. Q&A and comments give players ways to discuss locations, and the found-item feature supports personal progress tracking.

The community database covers items, crafting recipes, traders, and quests, including quest objectives and rewards. XP for pins, quests, and streaks, plus credits for leaderboard positions, gives contributors and regular users a progression layer. That may encourage participation, though players looking only for a map need not treat it as a reason to choose the service.

Sign-in supports Steam, Epic Games, and Discord. The privacy policy says personal-data processing follows the GDPR and applicable country-specific rules, while also acknowledging that internet transmissions can have security gaps and absolute protection cannot be guaranteed.

Pricing

LootAtlas is free. The App Store lists it as Free, and the plan is priced at 0.00 USD per free. There is no subscription price stated. A one-off contribution starts at $1, with no subscription attached; that is a voluntary way to support the service, not a paid tier with additional features.

For players seeking maps and community tools without a recurring charge, the free plan is the clear fit. There are no paid-plan seat counts, quotas, trial periods, or renewal terms to weigh against a cheaper tier.

Platforms

LootAtlas supports the web, Android, and iOS. The mobile apps give players access beyond a desktop browser, while the web version offers an option for those who prefer a larger screen. The maker, 28Apps Software GmbH, is based in Bremen, Germany.

Who it's for

LootAtlas is best for players whose game appears as available and who want maps, route planning, progress tracking, or community-created location guides in one service. It is also a good fit for groups that want to share routes or ambush plans in real time. Players should look elsewhere if their game is not available or if their preferred title has limited coverage.

Pros and cons

Pros: Maps combine points of interest and secret locations with custom markers and item tracking, which helps players plan and record exploration.
Pros: Real-time sharing of drawn routes and ambush points supports coordinated play with friends.
Pros: Location-based guides, Q&A, comments, and game databases bring player contributions together with maps.
Pros: Free access and optional one-off contributions avoid a required recurring subscription.
Cons: Coverage is game-dependent: the directory separates available entries from highlights and coming soon, so players must check their title first.
Cons: The privacy policy notes that online data transmissions can have security gaps and cannot be guaranteed absolutely secure.

Verdict
