Overview

Metaview brings together agents for sourcing, outreach, application review, screening, interview notes, and reporting. Its sourcing agent builds a shortlist and tailors outreach to a team’s tone. Agents can begin sourcing after an intake call, then use reviews, interviews, and hiring decisions to inform later searches. That connected workflow is the main appeal for teams seeking more than a standalone interview-notes tool.

The platform lists recruiting-system integrations including Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, and Workday, alongside Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. Its broader integration coverage includes applicant tracking, video conferencing, scheduling, and SSO tools, as well as Zapier. Customers switching from another tool can bulk-import transcripts when each batch uses a consistent format.

Key features

Sourcing and workflow

The sourcing agent combines shortlist generation with outreach, while feedback from later hiring stages can shape subsequent searches. This makes Metaview a stronger fit for teams that want sourcing and evaluation to feed into one another than for buyers looking only for interview recording.

Interview and candidate controls

The Mac and Windows desktop app can record conversations without a bot joining the call. Recording modes include both audio and video; candidates can opt out, either capture type can be disabled, and customers can delete recordings or set retention policies. These controls offer useful flexibility, but teams should decide how they will handle consent and retention before rolling out recording.

Security and support

Metaview says it is SOC 2 Type II certified and supports GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and PIPEDA compliance. Recordings and transcripts are hosted in its AWS UK environment, with a default two-year retention period that can be changed. Support is available through a Help Center and email.

Pricing

Metaview is freemium, with a free plan and paid plans billed monthly per user. The stated paid entry point is $60/user/mo, while the plan prices below include higher published tiers.

Free: The first 100 profiles sourced are free, with infinite concurrent searches. It is a useful way to start sourcing, but the profile allowance limits ongoing use.
Pro: 100.00 USD per month, billed monthly per user, for 200 profiles sourced per month and infinite concurrent searches. This suits a team with predictable sourcing volume that exceeds the free allowance.
Max: 300.00 USD per month, billed monthly per user, for unlimited profiles sourced and infinite concurrent searches. It is aimed at users whose sourcing demand makes Pro’s monthly quota restrictive.
Enterprise: Custom pricing, with custom volume and usage, dedicated support and training, and enterprise security features. This is the tier to consider when standard plan limits or support arrangements do not fit.
Agentic Recruiting Platform: Custom pricing for the complete AI-powered recruiting suite with all agents and premium features.

The free and Pro tiers impose sourcing limits; Max removes the profile cap but costs substantially more per user. Since pricing is per user on the published monthly tiers, seat count matters when budgeting a team. The Enterprise and full-platform plans use custom pricing.

Platforms

Metaview supports web, macOS, and Windows. Its desktop recorder is available for Mac and Windows, and the product also lists a Chrome extension.

Who it's for

Metaview is suited to recruiters, hiring managers, search firms, and recruiting agencies, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, that want sourcing and interview workflows connected. Teams with high sourcing volume may value Max’s unlimited profiles; those with lighter needs can start with the free allowance. It is less compelling for a buyer seeking only a narrowly focused interview recorder or one who cannot accept the default retention period without changing it.

Pros and cons

Pro: Sourcing, outreach, screening, and interview support share a workflow, so hiring-stage feedback can inform future searches.
Pro: The free plan includes infinite concurrent searches, giving teams room to try sourcing before moving to paid volume.
Pro: Bot-free desktop recording and candidate opt-out and deletion controls give teams choices over how conversations are captured and retained.
Con: Free sourcing stops at 100 profiles, and Pro caps monthly sourcing at 200 profiles.
Con: Max is 300.00 USD per month per user, making uncapped sourcing a significant commitment for teams with many seats.
Con: The default two-year retention period may not suit every organization unless its policy is changed.

Alternatives

Sprad is worth considering when a free ATS is the priority: its ATS Core plan is free forever and includes a career site, candidate pipeline management, team roles, and analytics.
Hirin is an alternative to compare if Android or iOS access matters; it supports both alongside web, API, and extension platforms.
Avery may suit teams focused on European profile search: its free plan offers search across 125M+ vetted European profiles and ranked matches, but excludes outreach and contact details.
Pin is an option for teams wanting a free plan with contact lookup and email sequences; its free tier limits users to five lookup credits weekly, one job position, and one AI agent.
Asendia AI is a paid alternative with a stated Starter plan of 159.00 USD per month, covering one job, one seat, and 50 interviews.
HireMIQ is a freemium option with a free plan that includes five job-description analyses monthly and all eight AI modules.
Moon is another paid recruiting assistant to compare.
SoWhat AI Recruiting Assistant is another paid option to compare.

Verdict

Metaview is a strong candidate for recruiting teams that want sourcing, evaluation, and interview support tied together, especially when feedback should improve later searches. Start with Free if 100 profiles are enough; choose a paid tier only if its sourcing capacity and per-user cost fit your team. Look elsewhere if you need a different platform focus or do not want to manage a two-year default retention policy.
