Overview

Revere keeps personal context—conversation notes, gift ideas, projects, or favourite drinks—alongside reminders to reconnect. That focus is its strength: it helps turn remembering into a habit, rather than treating people as entries in a conventional address book. Search and interaction history help users retrieve what they have saved and keep track of prior contact.

Key features

Users can group people and save family details or how they met. Birthday, important-date, and check-in reminders broaden the app beyond free-form notes, though some organization features require Premium. Connecting phone contacts brings contact details into Revere without uploading those details to the service. This is useful for quick reference, but does not make Revere a general contact manager.

Notes sync through an account across iOS devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Revere says notes are encrypted in transit and at rest on Google Firebase infrastructure and backed up. CSV export and permanent account deletion are available in settings. Face ID or Touch ID app locking, however, requires Premium.

AI Note Cleanup can shorten or reformat a note, but using it sends the note to Google for processing. Revere says Google does not store the note or use it to train AI models; users who do not want notes sent for external processing can simply avoid the feature.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes unlimited people, notes, and reminders. It is not time-limited, and there is no free trial because the free tier is ongoing. That generous allowance makes it a practical long-term choice for users who do not need Premium-only organization or app locking.

Revere Premium costs 4.99 USD per month, billed monthly, with automatic renewal unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. It adds Premium features, including in-app Face ID or Touch ID locking and some organization tools. The U.S. App Store lists this monthly price; the maker says prices vary by country. There is also a yearly Premium option, but its price is custom pricing. Monthly Premium is best for users who need its gated features without committing to a year; the free plan gives up those features but imposes no people, note, or reminder caps.

Platforms

Revere is available on iOS and macOS. The App Store requires iOS 18 or later and lists Mac support on macOS 15 or later with an Apple M1 chip or later; it currently identifies iPhone and iPad as supported devices. The rebuilt app dropped Chrome Extension support. This is a poor fit for Android or web-first users, and Mac users should note the stated hardware and operating-system requirements.

Who it's for

Revere is best for people who want a personal memory aid for relationships: someone who needs a reminder to follow up, or wants to retain details that make later conversations more thoughtful. It is less suitable for teams or anyone seeking broad contact-management capabilities; its maker positions it as a personal app, not a contact manager.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan has unlimited people, notes, and reminders and does not expire, so users can build a substantial personal record without a quota.
Pro: Contact details remain on the device, while notes sync across supported Apple devices through an account.
Pro: CSV export and account deletion give users direct ways to take their data or remove it.
Con: Face ID or Touch ID locking and some organization features require Premium, limiting the free plan's privacy and structuring options.
Con: It is confined to Apple platforms, and the Chrome Extension is no longer supported.
Con: AI cleanup sends note content to Google for processing, which may not suit users who prefer not to involve an external service.

Alternatives

Browse Personal CRM Software for more options in the category. Choose Contacts+ Personal CRM if Android or web access matters: its free plan covers one account and 1,000 contacts with daily sync, and it also offers a free trial. Contact Book is another freemium option, with web and API platforms and paid monthly or annual Standard plans.

Dextr is worth considering for an Apple-only user who wants a free tier that explicitly includes AI organization, relationships and tags, places and events, and reminders; its Pro plan is 14.99 USD per year. KeepContact may suit an iPhone user willing to start with a smaller allowance: its free tier caps use at 15 contacts and 3 reminders, with a 4.99 USD monthly Pro plan for unlimited contacts and reminders.

Kithmap is a free option for Mac and web. SoonCall is an iOS alternative whose free plan supports five relationships and planning and tracking catchups. Meaningful is a web-based alternative. Fabriq offers Android and iOS apps, with a 4.99 USD monthly All Access plan covering up to 150 people, categorized notes, personal reminders, and Connection Starters.

Verdict

Choose Revere if you use Apple devices and want an uncapped, personal system for remembering relationship details and following up. Its free plan is the strongest reason to start, while Premium adds useful organization and app locking. Look elsewhere if you need Android or web access, a broader contact manager, or app locking without a subscription.
