Overview

Hili Billing brings estimates, owner approvals, vendor invoices and payment approval together on maintenance work orders for property teams and vendors. It suits teams that need owners to sign off without creating accounts and want a record of who changed or approved billing information. Its human-reviewed workflow is a strong fit for accountable approvals, but private-beta access and the lack of integrations on Starter narrow its appeal.

Key features

Vendors can post estimates and invoices for property teams to review against the work performed. Keeping those steps on the same work order gives teams a focused approval trail rather than separating billing from the maintenance job. Owners can approve or decline through a private link without an account or login, reducing friction for occasional reviewers.

The audit history records who posted or changed billing information and who approved it, and cannot be overwritten. That is useful when teams need a durable account of decisions. A person remains responsible for reviewing estimates and invoices: the Assistant can flag mismatches, but by default it does not approve or pay bills on its own. Invoice comments and mobile approval support coordination and sign-off, though Hili is a web product.

Hili says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and records are scoped to the company workspace that owns them. Stripe processes payments and handles card data; Hili says it does not store full card numbers. Hili does not currently hold formal SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification and is working toward both, a consideration for organizations that require those certifications.

Pricing

Hili Billing is freemium, with no free trial. It is invitation-only while in private beta, so access is a practical hurdle regardless of plan.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Starter	Free	Full product for light use; no integrations.
Pro	$29/mo	Three times more Assistant credits than Starter, property management and field service integrations, and Zapier automations.
Business	$399/mo	Ten times more Assistant credits than Pro, integrations, assisted onboarding and priority support.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	For the largest portfolios and service areas, with onboarding and terms.

Starter is the sensible way to try the full product for light use, but teams that depend on connected property-management or field-service systems will need at least Pro. Business costs substantially more and is aimed at teams that need greater Assistant capacity and guided setup or priority support. Enterprise is for the largest operations, with custom pricing. The plans do not state seat or usage quotas beyond the relative Assistant-credit amounts and Starter's light-use positioning.

Platforms

Hili Billing is available on the web. Mobile approval is supported, which helps owners sign off away from a desktop, but it is not a listed native mobile platform.

Who it's for

Choose Hili Billing if property teams and vendors need to coordinate estimates, invoices and owner approval around maintenance work, especially when a permanent approval history matters. It is less suitable for teams that need access immediately during the private beta, require formal SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, or need integrations while staying on the free plan.

Pros and cons

Pros

Owner approval without an account: Private-link sign-off avoids making owners create logins for occasional decisions.
Durable approval history: The non-overwritable log records billing changes and approvals, supporting accountability.
Human control over bills: The Assistant can flag mismatches without approving or paying bills by default.
Free entry plan: Starter offers the full product for light use, making it possible to begin without a subscription.

Cons

Private-beta access: Invitation-only availability can prevent teams from adopting it when they need it.
No Starter integrations: Connected workflows require Pro at $29/mo or above.
No formal SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification currently: Organizations that require either certification may need another option.
Business is a steep step up: At $399/mo, it makes most sense when its added Assistant credits, onboarding and priority support justify the cost.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of approval and property workflows, see Invoice Approval Software, Property Maintenance Management Software and Property Management Vendor Management Software.

Consider Keelstar if free tools with no account and private signed share links better fit the task; its listed platforms are web and API. Nanonets Approval Routing Agent may suit teams seeking an API-accessible approval-routing option with a free starting credit offer and a trial; its Starter then costs $100/month for 100 credits and supports up to three users.

DocuClipper Invoice Approval is worth considering if broad platform coverage, unlimited users and API access matter; its Starter is $20.00 per month billed annually for 60 pages per month. For a paid option with Android, iOS and web support, consider hh2 AP Routing & Approval. Vic.ai APSuite is an alternative for organizations considering an AI invoice-processing and approvals platform, priced at $25,000.00 per year on a 12-month contract.

Cflow may suit teams looking for workflow automation with a monthly Joy plan, though its minimum is 10 users and maximum is 20 workflows. Envoice is another paid option, with an Essential plan at $10.00 per month for 50 documents and two users per month. Finmatics may be relevant to teams comparing accounting-focused automation; its Pro Fin plan is 1.05 EUR per month on an annual invoice paid in advance, with monthly payment available at a 20% surcharge.

Verdict

Hili Billing is a considered choice for property teams and vendors that want maintenance-job billing tied to human review, owner sign-off without logins and an approval record that cannot be overwritten. The free Starter plan lowers the barrier for light use, while Pro adds the integrations that connected teams are likely to need. Look elsewhere if private-beta access is a blocker, if formal SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification is mandatory, or if the Business plan's $399/mo price is hard to justify.
