Overview

The workflow spans more than initial image generation: create a print from text and optional reference images, refine it, preview it on a product, and export it. One-way directional and two-way non-directional repeats are described as aligned and ready for manufacturers, which makes this especially relevant to teams developing textile designs rather than users looking only for decorative images.

Up to three reference images can be uploaded, with a weight assigned to each. Variations, recoloring, resizing, style inspiration from references, and print extraction from a garment photo give designers several ways to steer or adapt a result. Photorealistic previews on garments, textiles, and accessories help assess a design in context before production. The Limited Color Palette option caps designs at 12 colors, however, and can reduce detail in complex motifs.

Key features

Repeats, editing, and export

Repeat options include one-way directional, two-way non-directional, 2-way, and half-drop. PNG and JPEG cover raster exports, while SVG supports vector use at a cost of one credit per export. That makes SVG useful when a workflow calls for vector artwork, but it draws on the same limited credit allowance as other work.

Workflow connections and safeguards

Connections include Pantone Connect, Browzwear, Miro, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive, Cloudinary, Shopify, and BigCommerce. Static preloads are included with a subscription; light one-way and premium bidirectional integrations may cost extra, so teams should account for integration needs when weighing a plan. Raspberry says it is SOC 2 Type II certified and does not share, sell, cross-pollinate, or use uploaded or generated assets. It also says users retain full ownership and intellectual property of their designs.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 50 one-time credits with no card required. It is a useful way to explore the workflow, but the one-time allowance is not a recurring production budget. A 7-day trial provides full access to every product at no cost, with the card not charged until day 8.

Individual: 49.00 USD per month, billed per user per month, with 120 credits per month, 7 day history, and full design privacy. It suits an individual designer who needs a recurring allowance and privacy, but the short history and smaller quota make it less suited to sustained team work.
Basic: 198.00 USD per month, billed per user per month, with 500 credits per month, 60 day history, and high resolution exports. It is aimed at teams under 5 people; the per-user billing means the monthly total rises with each seat.
Professional: 298.00 USD per month, billed per user per month, with 750 credits per month, unlimited history, faster generation, priority queue, and team and permissions management. It is the stronger fit for teams that need managed collaboration and higher throughput, though the per-user price makes it a substantial step up.
Enterprise: custom pricing, billed Custom, with custom AI model training, custom security and workflows, API, a dedicated customer success manager, priority support, and SSO. This is the option for organizations needing tailored controls and support rather than a fixed self-serve package.

Platforms

Prints & Patterns is available on the web. The broader platform describes an API among Enterprise capabilities, which may matter to organizations building a custom workflow.

Who it's for

This is best suited to fashion businesses and their representatives who need to generate, revise, preview, and prepare repeat prints as part of a connected design process. Individual designers can start with the free credits or Individual plan, while teams needing longer history, faster generation, permissions, or custom security have higher tiers to consider. It is less compelling for someone who only needs occasional pattern experiments: the recurring credit quotas and per-user charges are harder to justify without a production workflow.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multiple repeat formats, photorealistic product previews, and tools for recoloring, resizing, variation, and garment-photo extraction support work beyond prompt generation.
Pros: Three weighted reference-image slots and stated ownership of created designs offer useful creative control and a clear rights position.
Pros: PNG, JPEG, and SVG exports cover raster and vector needs, with broad connections to design, commerce, and collaboration tools.
Cons: Credits are capped by plan, and SVG exports consume one credit, so frequent iteration or vector delivery can use the allowance faster.
Cons: Subscription prices are per user per month, making team costs rise with seat count; advanced integration pricing may also be separate.
Cons: Limited Color Palette mode can sacrifice detail in complex motifs, so it is not ideal when those designs depend on a broad color range.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, browse Pattern Design Software or AI Sketch-to-Image Generators.

ArahWeave is a weaving CAD/CAM option for Linux, macOS, and Windows; its free demo cannot save projects, so it is better suited to evaluating that specialized workflow than keeping demo work.
Artlandia SymmetryWorks is a paid macOS and Windows extension with one-time Student Version pricing at 124.50 USD and Full Version pricing at 249.00 USD. Choose it when a one-time purchase and extension format suit better than Raspberry's per-user monthly plans.
Repper offers a free mobile web app as well as paid plans and runs on Android, iOS, and web. Its mobile image upload is limited to the first two weeks and exports are simplified, making it a lighter mobile-oriented alternative.
Textile Designer AI has monthly credit plans, including Basic at 999.00 INR per month for 275 credits and one user, with unused credits expiring after 30 days. Consider it when that credit-and-expiry model better fits your budget or working cadence.
AVA CAD/CAM is a macOS alternative.
Texloom Studio has a free tier with 100 starting credits and 27 tool pages available without signup, plus paid plans. It is worth considering if a no-signup starting point matters more than Raspberry's fashion-business workflow.
MYTH AI is a paid web option with a free trial; its Individual Starter plan costs 19.00 USD per month. It may suit someone prioritizing a lower-priced paid starting tier.
JUMI PatternMaker is a free web tool with no signup or subscription, and offers SVG and PNG exports up to 8000px for personal and commercial use. Choose it for free pattern making and direct exports rather than Raspberry's repeat-generation and preview workflow.

Verdict

Choose Raspberry AI Prints & Patterns if you are a fashion or textile professional who needs prompt-led repeat creation, product previews, and iterative design tools in one workflow. Its manufacturer-oriented repeat options and range of adjustments are the main reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need a low-cost tool for occasional work, a generous ongoing free allowance, or a fixed non-per-user price: the paid plans meter credits per seat, and some integrations may add cost.
