Overview

Gradient Works brings account scoring, territory design, rep books, routing and pipeline analytics into one system. The connection matters: teams can use account-fit signals to shape coverage, then manage assignments as accounts are worked. That is a more focused proposition than a general-purpose mapping tool, and best suited to sales operations teams coordinating a sizable commercial operation.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, the company targets upper mid-market B2B software businesses with 200–2,500 employees. Salesforce is required for the full platform, although HubSpot and CSV support Account Research and Carve territory planning. That leaves non-Salesforce teams with a narrower use case.

Key features

Account scoring and territory design

Market Map scores CRM accounts from 0–100 according to their similarity to closed-won customers, then syncs scores to Salesforce. RevOps and Sales Strategy teams can use those fit scores in Carve to model territory scenarios and push a final design to Salesforce. Together, the tools connect planning to account quality; they are less compelling if a team does not intend to operationalize its territory plan in Salesforce.

Books, research and routing

Bookbuilder aims to keep each rep’s book at roughly 100–150 accounts, replacing worked accounts with higher-fit ones. That helps teams keep coverage focused without treating an exhausted account list as fixed. AI Researcher lets RevOps create custom prompts to research accounts at scale and write qualitative answers back to Salesforce, useful when teams want account context in their CRM rather than in a separate workflow.

Routing automates lead-to-account matching and assignment for inbound MQLs, handoffs, customer-success assignments and opportunity escalations. Support for routing rules, territory routing, round-robin assignment, lead qualification and workflow automation makes it relevant beyond territory design alone. Supported integrations include Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Salesloft, Outreach, Google Calendar, Office 365 and CSV import, but only one calendar integration and one sales-engagement integration can be active at a time.

Gradient Works says its implementation is typically led by its team and takes 2–4 weeks. It also says it has completed a SOC 2 Type 2 audit and offers a process to request the report—reassuring context for buyers evaluating a system that connects sales operations data.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free, billed forever. It includes 1,000 credits, 5 rep users, 1 Carve scenario, Market Map, basic Bookbuilder and analytics. It is a useful starting point for a small team to explore scoring and planning, but the credit and scenario caps, along with the absence of routing, limit its role as an operating system for a growing sales organization. There is no free trial.

Growth costs 799.00 USD per month, billed paid annually. It raises capacity to 12,000 credits, 10,000 dynamic accounts, 10 rep users and 5 Carve projects, and adds routing, AI Account Research, Lookalikes and integrations. This is the practical fit for a team that needs routing as well as planning, provided 10 rep users and the annual billing term suit its needs.

Enterprise has custom pricing, billed paid annually. It supports up to 2M credits, up to 1M dynamic accounts and up to 1,000 rep users, and adds managed AI Researchers, custom workflow implementation and premium support. Its scale and implementation support are aimed at larger operations; teams wanting predictable public pricing should compare the Growth limits against their requirements first.

Platforms

Gradient Works supports web and API access. Salesforce is necessary for the full platform; HubSpot and CSV support Account Research and Carve territory planning, not the full Salesforce-centered feature set.

Who it's for

This is a strong candidate for upper mid-market B2B software companies with commercial sales teams that already run Salesforce and need account fit, territory planning, rep coverage and routing to work together. Smaller teams may find the Free plan’s five rep users and single Carve scenario enough to begin, but should expect to move to Growth for routing and higher capacity. Teams committed to another CRM, or shopping principally for a standalone territory map, have less reason to choose it.

Pros and cons

Pro: Account scores, territory scenarios, dynamic rep books and routing sit in one workflow, helping operations connect planning decisions to assignments.
Pro: The Free plan provides Market Map, basic Bookbuilder, analytics and one Carve scenario for up to five rep users without a paid renewal.
Con: The full platform requires Salesforce, limiting its fit for teams standardized on other CRM systems.
Con: Growth is 799.00 USD per month billed annually and caps rep users at 10; larger teams need custom-priced Enterprise.
Con: Only one calendar and one sales-engagement integration can be active at a time, which may constrain teams with multiple tools in either category.

Alternatives

For a different approach to territory planning, consider TerraMap: its Starter plan costs 49.00 USD per month, billed $470/year (save $118), and includes up to 3 territory models, 15 territories, 10,000 data points and 2 users. It is a lower-cost option for teams focused on territory modeling rather than Gradient Works’ broader connected sales-operations workflow.

Galigeo Sales Territory Mapping is another option for buyers comparing territory-mapping products.

Verdict

Choose Gradient Works if your Salesforce-based commercial sales operation needs account fit, territory planning, rep-book maintenance and routing tied together. The Free plan offers a bounded way to start, while Growth adds routing and more capacity for 799.00 USD per month billed annually. Look elsewhere if Salesforce is not your operating CRM or if your team needs more than 10 rep users without moving to custom-priced Enterprise.
