Overview

Imagility I-9 Compliance combines employee eligibility workflows with audit, remediation, and immigration-compliance administration. It is aimed particularly at construction, engineering, and multi-site employers managing employees across dispersed or project-based operations. Its broad compliance scope is compelling for those teams, though custom pricing makes it harder to judge cost before engaging the company.

Key features

Guided I-9 completion, digital signatures, document uploads and storage, and reporting cover the core process for onsite and remote employees. E-Verify integration and third-party evaluation workflows add useful checks beyond form completion, while expiration alerts, reverification tracking, dashboards, and tamper-proof audit logs support ongoing record management. HRIS and ATS integrations can connect company workflows, though the product information identifies no API access details beyond the API capability flag.

Remote verification includes coordination with authorized representatives and compliance with the DHS-authorized alternative procedure. This is a practical fit for employers hiring beyond a central office; representative coordination also means remote hiring still requires an organized handoff.

Audit and remediation services are unusually central to the offer. They include line-by-line reviews, correction methods, reverification tracking, retention analysis, risk categorization, and audit-ready repository creation. Imagility also supports record production, organized audit files, mock audits, self-audits, and remediation ahead of enforcement. Retention work includes analyzing schedules, reviewing terminated employees for purge eligibility, and documenting secure destruction, which helps employers address records beyond the initial verification.

The scope extends into LCA filings and postings, Public Access Files, and FDNS visit tracking. That can consolidate related immigration-compliance tasks for HR teams, but employers seeking only a straightforward I-9 form workflow may not need this wider toolkit. Imagility describes secure cloud storage and tamper-proof logs, and its company page identifies SOC 2 Type II and GDPR. Email, phone, and chat support are offered, with sales and support available 24/7 Monday to Friday.

Pricing

Imagility uses custom pricing; contact the company for a quote. The signup page has a “Sign up for Free!” button, but no product price or trial length is stated, so treat that as an invitation to inquire rather than a defined free plan. With no published seat charges, usage caps, renewal terms, or plan tiers, buyers should ask for those terms and clarify which I-9, audit, and related compliance services are included before comparing budgets.

Platforms

Imagility I-9 Compliance is available on Android, iOS, and the web. That mix suits teams whose employees or authorized representatives need to complete work away from a desktop, alongside HR staff managing records centrally.

Who it's for

Construction, engineering, and multi-site employers with distributed or project-based workforces are the clearest fit, particularly when remote verification, audit preparation, remediation, and immigration-related filings all sit with the same team. Smaller employers with occasional hires or a narrow need for basic E-Verify may find the broader scope and custom-quote process excessive.

Pros and cons

Pro: Guided I-9 workflows, remote verification, E-Verify, and expiration and reverification tracking bring hiring and ongoing compliance into one process.
Pro: Line-by-line audits, correction support, retention review, and audit-ready record organization address work that basic form completion does not.
Pro: LCA, Public Access File, and FDNS tools are useful for employers handling related immigration obligations alongside I-9s.
Con: Custom pricing and an undefined free signup offer make it difficult to estimate cost or trial the product on stated terms before contacting sales.
Con: The extensive compliance scope may be unnecessary for employers who only need a simple verification workflow.

Alternatives

For a narrower, no-cost verification need, E-Verify offers a free internet-based system for U.S. employers to verify new hires; it does not match Imagility's broader audit and immigration-compliance scope. If standard I-9 and onboarding workflows at no additional charge are the priority, consider Everee Onboarding+; Imagility is the broader choice for audits and related compliance. Patriot I-9 is another option, with no-charge seat licensing and E-Verify priced at no charge per I-9, though storage costs $1.25 USD per month.

Consider WorkRight if its Lite plan's 50 monthly verifications, guided completion, document storage, E-Verify management, audit trail, and remote workflows suit your volume. For quote-based alternatives, Experian I-9 Management, First Advantage Form I-9 and E-Verify Services, and Symmetry I-9 are options to compare. Verifi-9 is another paid alternative. Browse Employment Eligibility Verification Software for more options.

Verdict

Choose Imagility I-9 Compliance if your distributed workforce needs remote I-9 completion alongside serious audit, remediation, retention, and immigration-compliance work. Its main advantage is the breadth of those workflows in one platform; its main drawback is that custom pricing and unclear signup terms leave cost and trial fit to resolve with the company. Employers needing only basic verification should compare simpler alternatives first.
