Overview

Stripo is an email template builder for creating campaigns with either drag-and-drop tools or an HTML editor. It suits solo creators and teams that need reusable designs, export flexibility, and room to collaborate. Its strongest case is a broad workflow from template design to delivery; the main trade-off is that useful testing and collaboration capabilities sit outside the free plan.

Key features

The choice of visual and HTML editing makes Stripo more flexible than a visual-only builder: creators can assemble designs with drag-and-drop tools, then use custom code editing when a layout needs finer control. Reusable content blocks and modular email architecture support consistency across campaigns, while interactive-content tools extend designs beyond static layouts. Access to more than 1,650 free customizable HTML templates gives teams a substantial starting library.

Export options are a major strength for organizations with established sending workflows. Stripo can push emails to more than 90 ESPs, export to Gmail or Outlook, send to CRMs through Zapier or Webhook, and download designs as PDF, images, or HTML. The breadth reduces dependence on a single destination, though monthly export caps still matter on the lower plans.

Email on Acid integration supports testing across 98 mobile, desktop, and web clients. Team roles, shared previews, and real-time co-editing make the editor suitable for review workflows as well as individual design. The white-label plugin is aimed at businesses embedding an email editor in their own product, rather than ordinary campaign creators.

Pricing

Stripo is freemium, with paid plans from $20/mo and no free trial. The Free subscription is $0.00 USD per free, has no fixed term while the account remains active, and allows 2 members, 4 exports monthly, 5 test emails daily, and 10 stored emails. Those caps are workable for occasional design, but the free plan excludes ESP export, colleague collaboration, client rendering previews, and sending tests to addresses beyond the account holder. It is therefore less useful for a team preparing campaigns for external review.

Basic costs 20.00 USD per month, billed $20 monthly or $200 yearly. It keeps the 2-member limit and raises capacity to 50 exports monthly, 50 test emails daily, and 50 stored emails, with premium templates. This is the sensible step up for a solo creator or small operation that needs more throughput without extra seats.

Medium is 45.00 USD per month, billed $45 monthly or $450 yearly. It includes 3 members, 300 monthly exports, 100 daily test emails, 300 stored emails, and 5 projects. The higher export and storage allowances suit a growing team managing several campaigns, though three seats remain a modest limit.

Pro is 125.00 USD per month, billed $125 monthly or $1250 yearly. Its 10 members, 4,000 monthly exports, 300 daily test emails, 5,000 stored emails, and unlimited projects make it the clearest fit for busy teams with recurring campaigns and multiple workstreams. Prime has custom pricing: it supports up to 100 teammates and unlimited projects, with email client testing credits and countdown timer opens.

Platforms

Stripo is available on the web and through an API. Its white-label plugin also gives businesses a route to integrate the editor into their own product.

Who it's for

Stripo is best suited to email creators and marketing teams that want template-based design without giving up HTML editing, or agencies that need shared review and co-editing. The Free plan can serve a solo user learning the workflow, but teams needing ESP export, client previews, or collaboration should budget for a paid tier. Organizations seeking to embed an editor in another product have a distinct reason to consider the white-label plugin.

Pros and cons

Pro: More than 90 ESP connections plus Gmail, Outlook, CRM, and file export options accommodate varied delivery workflows.
Pro: Visual editing, HTML and custom-code editing, and reusable blocks balance speed with control.
Pro: Real-time co-editing, roles, and shared previews support team review rather than forcing a handoff between designers.
Con: Free users cannot export to an ESP, collaborate with colleagues, preview client rendering, or send tests to other addresses, limiting the plan for production teams.
Con: Basic has only 2 members and 50 monthly exports; teams that outgrow those ceilings must move to a more expensive tier.
Con: Free users have email support but no support chat; support is available on business days from 8:30 until midnight UTC+3.

Alternatives

For a wider category comparison, browse Email Template Software and Email Design Software.

MailEditor is another freemium choice, with web, API, and extension platforms; consider it if its Starter plan's 100 HTML exports and 50 ESP exports better match your expected monthly volume.
Postcards offers a free plan with 10 template projects, 5 monthly exports, and unlimited teammates, making it an alternative for a free workflow that prioritizes team access over export volume.
Blocks Edit has a free plan and a yearly Collaborate plan; consider it if its storage-focused or 5-user yearly options fit your needs.
Tabular offers a free web plan with 3 stored emails, 3 monthly exports, and 5 daily previews; it is an alternative for users whose requirements fit within those smaller caps.
Serious Email Studio has a free plan with one user, 3 projects, 10 templates, and responsive previews, which may suit a small solo workflow.
Unitpost is a freemium API and web option; consider it if its free plan's monthly email and contact allowances are more relevant than Stripo's design and export workflow.
MJML is free and open source under the MIT license, with a free-to-use REST API; choose it if an open-source option is the priority.
PostBrix is another freemium web alternative.

Verdict

Choose Stripo if you need a flexible email design workflow that combines visual and HTML editing, extensive export routes, and real-time team collaboration. The free plan is useful for constrained solo work, but ESP export, colleague collaboration, and client rendering previews require a paid plan. Look elsewhere if those capabilities must be available without a subscription or if Stripo's member and export caps do not fit your workload.
