Overview

Finalsite Enrollment is an admissions and enrollment system for schools, districts, and dioceses. It suits organizations that want recruitment, applications, billing, and reporting connected across their schools. Its strength is broad workflow coverage; its trade-offs are custom pricing and support handled in received order.

The system follows families from initial inquiry through enrollment, bringing applications, communications, documents, waitlists, and tuition payments into a connected process. Finalsite Explore adds an interactive school locator with maps, branded profiles, and registration links, joining school discovery to registration. That breadth is useful for organizations managing multiple stages of admissions, but may be more than a school needs if it is seeking only a focused billing or application tool.

Key features

Admissions and enrollment

Applications, communications, and enrollment documents sit in one system, with review, decision, and enrollment workflows and document collection. Waitlist and lottery management adds automated checklists and family communications. Together, these tools support a structured process for organizations handling admissions across schools; buyers with simpler intake needs may not benefit from the full scope.

Reporting and data exchange

Users can report on or query collected data, while districts and dioceses can aggregate admission metrics across schools. That makes the system more relevant to organizations that need a broader view than a single school's applicant pipeline. Its External API exposes calendar appointments, uploaded files, forms, student photos, and checklist items with completion dates. Open integrations can connect exported data from MIS and SIS systems that Finalsite does not connect to directly, offering a route for data exchange without promising a direct connector.

Billing and financial aid

The Tuition and Billing module supports student billing, payment plans, and automated reminders. Recurring billing, autopay, and financial-aid workflows are also supported. Finalsite Enrollment can sync award information with Clarity and send student data back for reporting. This makes it a plausible fit when billing is part of a wider admissions operation, though the product's broader remit may be unnecessary for organizations that only need fee collection.

Security and support

Finalsite says its infrastructure runs across Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services and uses identity and access management, SIEM, and CNAPP tools. The EMS Support Team is available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Standard Time, and handles requests in received order. The stated weekday window gives buyers defined coverage, but the queue-based approach may not suit organizations that need a guaranteed response time.

Pricing

Finalsite Enrollment is paid software with custom pricing; organizations need to request pricing. The product has one named plan, Finalsite Enrollment, with applicant communications, review and decision workflows, enrollment workflows, document collection, SIS integration, tuition and fee coverage, recurring billing, autopay, payment plans, and financial-aid workflows. The broad inclusion makes it a single-system option for schools seeking those capabilities together, but there is no lower-priced tier described for buyers who need only a subset.

Finalsite was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Glastonbury, Connecticut. It is offered on web and through an API.

Platforms

Finalsite Enrollment is available on the web and via API. That combination suits organizations that need browser-based access alongside programmatic data exchange; no other platform is identified.

Who it's for

Schools, districts, and dioceses are the intended audience, particularly organizations coordinating admissions and enrollment across multiple schools. Aggregated reporting, the school locator, and connected workflows are strongest when recruitment, application handling, and tuition processes need to work together. A buyer seeking only a standalone fee-management product should compare more focused options.

Pros and cons

Pros: Admissions, documents, waitlists, decisions, and enrollment are handled in one workflow, reducing the need to treat each stage as a separate process.
Pros: Districts and dioceses can aggregate metrics across schools, a useful distinction for organizations overseeing multiple admissions pipelines.
Pros: Billing includes payment plans, recurring billing, autopay, and reminders, with Clarity award synchronization for financial-aid data.
Cons: Custom pricing requires a request, so buyers cannot readily compare a published price against their budget.
Cons: Support requests are answered in received order during weekday hours, which may frustrate teams needing urgent assistance outside that window.
Cons: Open integrations can work with exported MIS and SIS data, but the approach is less direct than a native connection where one is needed.

Verdict

Finalsite Enrollment is best for schools, districts, and dioceses that want admissions, enrollment, billing, and multi-school reporting in one system. Its strongest reason to choose it is the breadth of connected workflows, including financial-aid data exchange with Clarity. Look elsewhere if published pricing, a more focused fee-management tool, or faster assured support is central to the decision.
