Overview

WebAdMIT brings applicant tracking, review, communications, reporting, and enrollment tasks into one workflow. Staff can search and sort applicant records, track progress, route applications for review, and manage decisions. That scope makes it a better fit for admissions operations than a general-purpose form or survey tool, especially when CAS data and institutional SIS or ERP connections matter.

Key features

Applicant management: A centralized database with search, filtering, sorting, and progress tracking gives teams a common view of applications. This is useful when multiple staff members need to follow applicant status across a cycle.
Review and decisions: Staff can assign applications to reviewers or committees, inspect supporting documents, comment, and score submissions. WebAdMIT Holistic adds rubric-based review aligned to institutional missions, while WebAdMIT Predictive supplies machine-learning likelihood-to-enroll scores. These additions may suit teams with specific evaluation needs, but are separate enhanced tools rather than a reason to assume every program needs them.
Applicant communications: Email templates, correspondence tracking, and automated notifications, reminders, and updates help admissions teams manage routine outreach within the workflow.
Reporting and data movement: Reporting and analysis tools support monitoring application trends and recruitment strategies. Native integration with participating CAS data and API transfers to institutional SIS or ERP systems, including Slate and Banner, make it relevant to institutions connecting admissions records with other systems. Customized exports, bulk PDF downloads, reports, and scheduled SFTP delivery provide additional ways to move data.
Access and security: WebAdMIT uses AWS and requires TLS 1.2 or later for secure connections. SAML 2.0 single sign-on works with Entra ID, Shibboleth, and Oracle Access Manager, but implementation carries a one-time fee and annual maintenance charge.

Pricing

WebAdMIT is a paid product with custom pricing, alongside a complimentary plan at 0.00 USD per free. That free plan is for programs participating in a Liaison Centralized Application Service (CAS), so it is not a general free tier for any institution. The plan includes applicant communications, review, decision, and enrollment workflows, document collection, and SIS integration.

For programs outside the participating CAS group, pricing is on request. Confirm the quote and any costs for add-ons or SSO before committing; single sign-on has separate implementation and annual maintenance fees. No seat quota or trial term is stated.

Platforms

WebAdMIT is available on the web and through an API. It works in current Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge browsers; Internet Explorer is unsupported. Smartphones and tablets can access it through a compatible browser, but Liaison recommends a computer for optimal use, a practical consideration for reviewers who expect to work extensively with application documents.

Who it's for

WebAdMIT is a strong fit for admissions teams that coordinate application review, communications, decisions, and enrollment, particularly those participating in Liaison CAS or connecting applicant data to institutional SIS or ERP systems. Teams that need committee assignments, document review, scoring, and applicant progress tracking can keep those tasks in one admissions workflow. It is less suitable for programs seeking a broadly available free admissions system, or for staff who need a mobile-first review experience.

Pros and cons

Pro: Applicant tracking, committee review, communications, decisions, and enrollment are covered in one admissions-focused workflow, reducing the need to coordinate those steps across separate tools.
Pro: CAS integration and API-based SIS or ERP transfers support institutions that need admissions data to flow into their existing systems.
Pro: Multiple export options, including scheduled SFTP delivery, give institutions alternatives for reporting and data handoff.
Con: The complimentary plan is restricted to participating Liaison CAS programs, while other pricing is custom, making it a poor fit for buyers who need a generally accessible free plan or a clear published price.
Con: SSO brings a one-time implementation fee and annual maintenance, adding cost for institutions that require it.
Con: Browser access on mobile devices is possible, but a computer is recommended, so it is not the best choice for teams expecting mobile-first admissions work.

Alternatives

Admissions Software is a useful starting point for comparing admissions products by category.

OpenEMIS Admissions is worth considering when avoiding licensing fees is the priority: it is free open-source software with web and self-hosted platforms. WebAdMIT is the more targeted option when Liaison CAS participation or its admissions workflow and integrations are central.
Gecko is another paid alternative with Android, iOS, web, and API platforms; compare it if those platform options matter to your selection.
SurveyMonkey is a freemium option for simple surveys, forms, and quizzes, with a Basic plan limited to 10 questions per survey and limited responses. Choose it for that narrower survey use rather than WebAdMIT's admissions review and enrollment workflow.
Embark is a paid admissions alternative for buyers who want to contact the provider for a solution; its Campus plan has unpublished pricing.
OpenApply offers paid school subscriptions with fees based on enrolled student numbers and an upfront two-year option with a 5% discount. Consider it when that subscription structure suits your budgeting better than custom WebAdMIT pricing.
Slate is a paid option without a free plan; its Admissions & Enrollment license for fewer than 1,500 annual submitted applications costs 30000.00 USD per year for a single database and license. Compare it when that published annual license is a workable basis for your decision.
Kira Talent is a paid platform license with consultative onboarding and a branded assessment portal, with optional videography, admissions consulting, reviewer services, and integrations. It may fit buyers focused on that assessment-oriented package.
Finalsite Enrollment is another paid web and API alternative, with pricing available by requesting a demo.

Verdict

Choose WebAdMIT if your admissions team needs coordinated applicant tracking, committee review, communications, and SIS or ERP data exchange, especially when your program participates in Liaison CAS. Its integrated workflow is the main reason to choose it; its CAS-restricted free plan, custom pricing, and extra SSO costs are the main reasons to look elsewhere.
