Overview

Employee records, onboarding, time off, performance management, and time tracking cover much of the routine HR workload. Connections across payroll, finance, hiring, learning, background checks, and single sign-on can help keep those functions in the same operating picture. Multiple entities and role-specific permissions are useful for businesses with separate units or varied access needs.

factoHR says it serves more than 4,000 businesses or customers and scales from 50 to more than 5,000 employees. It states that it holds ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and SOC 2 Type II credentials; browser-server communications use high-grade 256-key SSL encryption, with role-based access and secure employee records. Customers can access and export their information on every plan, avoiding a tier-based barrier to retrieving company data.

Key features

Attendance and HR administration

Attendance can be recorded through face recognition, selfie punch, geofencing, or location-tagged punches. That range gives organizations options for different attendance workflows, though teams should choose methods suited to their own workforce and policies. The broader mix of time tracking, time-off management, onboarding, and performance management makes factoHR more than a punch-in tool.

Access, mobility, and support

The product offers one HR experience across web and mobile through its mobile app, so mobile use is part of the platform rather than a separate system. Role-specific access permissions and support for multiple entities help with administration across teams. Support operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, so organizations needing help outside those hours should weigh that schedule.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 INR per free and supports up to 20 employees without requiring a credit card. It is a practical way for a small team to begin, but its employee ceiling makes it a short runway for growth.

Core costs 125.00 INR per month, billed yearly, for up to 50 employees; each additional employee costs ₹89/month. Premium is 175.00 INR per month, billed yearly, for up to 50 employees, with additional employees at ₹109/month. Ultimate is 225.00 INR per month, billed yearly, for up to 50 employees, with additional employees at ₹129/month. The plans share the same stated base employee allowance, so the higher tiers' value depends on the capabilities an organization needs; avoid assuming a higher price means more seats. The annual billing commitment matters even though plans have no lock-in period or cancellation fee: remaining annual-plan credit is not refunded after discontinuation.

Separate products include Fia by factoHR, Selfie Punch, and Timesheet at 0.50 USD per month each, and Face Recognition at 1.00 USD per month. Recruitment is 75.00 USD per month per recruiter. For Blue Collar and For Start-UP have custom pricing. Subscriptions can be paid quarterly or yearly, but the listed Core, Premium, and Ultimate rates are billed yearly; confirm applicable terms before choosing a plan.

Platforms

factoHR supports web and provides a mobile app with the same HR experience. Its listed platform coverage is narrower than products spanning desktop and mobile operating systems, so organizations should confirm that web and mobile meet their staff's device requirements.

Who it's for

factoHR is a sensible fit for small teams wanting a no-card free start, and for growing organizations that need core HR administration, multiple attendance methods, and connections to adjacent business systems. Its multi-entity support and scaling claim may appeal to larger operations, but teams should model per-employee charges beyond 50 seats and match the paid tiers to their requirements. It is less suitable for organizations that require refunded unused annual credit or support beyond weekday business hours.

Pros and cons

Con: Paid base plans cover up to 50 employees, then add per-employee charges that rise from ₹89/month to ₹129/month across the three tiers.

Con: Support is limited to Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Verdict

Choose factoHR if your organization wants broad core HR coverage, multiple attendance methods, and connections to related business systems, with a free tier for up to 20 employees. Its clearest drawbacks are paid-plan per-employee costs and the loss of unused annual credit after discontinuation. If either term is unacceptable, compare alternatives before committing.
