Overview

Customers can sign on a tablet, computer, or mobile device, either before arriving or at an on-site kiosk. Booking supports admission prices by person type, scheduled or all-day availability, capacity limits, group packages, and deposits. These options make WaiverFile a stronger fit for planned activities and group events than a waiver-only tool.

Staff can see booking and participant details alongside each person’s waiver status, then scan confirmation codes with the WaiverScan app or check arrivals off in the dashboard. That connection is useful when a group’s arrival and waiver completion need to be managed together. A custom-domain business website is an option, as are booking and waiver pages added to an existing site and styled to match its brand.

Key features

Group waiver tracking: Waiver completion is tracked per participant for groups, parties, and events. Staff can check who still needs to sign rather than treating the booking as a single completed record.
Flexible signing: Customers can sign in advance or at an on-site kiosk, from a tablet, computer, or mobile device. Kiosk mode, offline signing, and guardian signing are supported, giving operators more ways to handle on-site and family sign-ups.
Booking and check-in: Person-type pricing, capacity limits, packages, deposits, and scheduled or all-day availability cover several common activity-booking needs. Confirmation-code scanning and dashboard check-in provide two ways to verify arrivals.
Integrations: WaiverFile lists Zapier, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, PicThrive, GetResponse, and US Lacrosse. API access, automated reminders, and data export are also supported.
Security: The company describes encryption in transit and at rest, cell-level encryption, data masking, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, monitoring, and alerting. It says the product is HIPAA-compliant and GDPR compliant; buyers handling sensitive information should weigh those claims against the security features included in their chosen plan.
Support: Customers can contact support by phone or message; the company lists +1 (877) 791-9984.

Pricing

The Booking plan has no monthly fee and includes waivers for booking participants, but adds a 6% booking fee rounded up to the nearest whole dollar at checkout. Stripe processing fees apply separately. It may suit an operator who wants to avoid a subscription, but the checkout fee makes it important to account for booking volume and transaction costs.

Paid waiver plans are billed monthly, include unlimited waiver storage, and have no contract. Startup costs $19 / month for 150 new waivers per month; Startup with HIPAA costs $29 / month for the same quota and enhanced security features for HIPAA. Business costs $49 / month for 400 new waivers per month, or $79 / month with HIPAA features. Growth costs $89 / month for 700 new waivers per month, or $129 / month with HIPAA features. Premium costs $149 / month for 1,300 new waivers per month, and Elite costs $249 / month for 4,000 new waivers per month. The paid tiers primarily scale by monthly new-waiver allowance; choosing a HIPAA variant raises the price while retaining the corresponding tier’s quota.

Enterprise has custom pricing for custom volume and includes Single Sign-On (SSO) and full data isolation. It is the option for buyers who need those capabilities rather than a published monthly allowance and price.

Standalone waiver plans begin with a 30-day or 100-waiver free trial, and no credit card is required. Once a waiver plan’s included quota is exceeded, signing can continue at $0.50 per additional waiver. That overage can make a lower tier less attractive for a business with unpredictable busy periods, despite the no-contract terms. WaiverFile has no free plan.

Platforms

WaiverFile supports Android, iOS, and web. The range suits operators who need to handle signing or check-in on mobile devices as well as manage bookings through a browser.

Who it's for

WaiverFile targets activity-based businesses, including attractions, fitness classes, tours, workshops, parties, and facility rentals. It makes the most sense when bookings, group participation, waiver completion, and arrival checks are connected parts of the customer experience. A business that only needs inexpensive waiver collection may find the booking emphasis and monthly quotas less useful.

Pros and cons

Pro: Booking and waiver workflows are connected. Staff can view participant details and waiver completion together, which is useful for groups and events.
Pro: Check-in has two supported paths. Staff can scan confirmation codes with WaiverScan or use the dashboard to verify status and mark arrivals.
Pro: Paid plans have no contract and unlimited storage. The monthly new-waiver quota, rather than stored waivers, is the key usage constraint.
Con: The no-monthly-fee Booking plan still charges per booking. Its 6% checkout fee is rounded up to the nearest whole dollar, with Stripe processing fees on top.
Con: Waiver quotas differ substantially by plan. Extra signings cost $0.50 each after the included limit, so a busy month can add costs to a subscription.
Con: WaiverFile has no free plan. The trial offers a limited starting period or waiver count, not a continuing free tier.

Verdict

WaiverFile is a strong choice for attractions, classes, tours, and event operators that want bookings, participant-level waivers, and check-in in one system. Its key advantage is linking those steps for groups; its main drawback is the combination of monthly waiver caps, $0.50 overages, and a booking fee on the no-monthly-fee plan. Choose it when coordinated booking and waiver workflows matter more than keeping costs entirely flat, and look elsewhere if a continuing free tier or predictable per-waiver pricing is the priority.
