Overview

EEO Reporter is a web-based tool for assembling workforce data and preparing EEO submissions. It is best suited to organizations that need structured EEO-1 reporting, particularly those managing data across multiple locations. Its automated CSV workflow is the central appeal, but employers should verify current filing requirements before relying on the product’s compliance guidance.

Key features

EEO Reporter organizes employment information by race or ethnicity, gender, and job category. For Component 2 reporting, the data also includes hours worked, 12-month earnings, and classification into 12 EEOC pay bands. That broader set of fields makes the product relevant to employers handling compensation data as well as workforce demographics.

The product is described as fully automated, with no manual formatting required, and prepares CSV data files for upload through the EEOC online filing system. That can reduce repetitive preparation work, while employers remain responsible for certifying that submitted data is accurate and correctly formatted. The software is positioned around the September 30 reporting deadline, but historical Component 2 deadlines and reporting-year references in its FAQ—including a September 30, 2019 deadline—mean that current requirements should be confirmed separately.

Points North says the product was developed in partnership with leading payroll providers. Client data is housed on dedicated Microsoft Azure servers described as compliant with ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 1, and SOC 2 standards. Points North also uses TLS for authentication, encryption, and data integrity, and stores hashed passwords. These are relevant safeguards for sensitive payroll and demographic information, though they do not remove the employer’s responsibility to manage its own data and certification process.

A free demo can be scheduled by request. Phone support is available Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST, giving customers a defined weekday window for assistance.

Pricing

EEO Reporter has paid, custom pricing; the fee is available on request. A free demo is offered by appointment, but no free plan or trial is described. Organizations should request pricing directly and weigh it against their reporting volume and need for automated CSV preparation.

Platforms

EEO Reporter runs on the web and exports reports in CSV format. That matches its stated EEOC filing workflow, which uses uploaded CSV data files.

Who it's for

The product is aimed at organizations preparing EEO-1 reports, especially employers with workforce information spread across headquarters and other locations. The FAQ discusses a 100-employee threshold for Component 2 reporting, counting employees across headquarters and all locations. Because the product’s FAQ also contains historical Component 2 information, organizations should confirm which current reporting obligations apply to them.

EEO Reporter makes the most sense when reducing manual report formatting is a priority and the organization can justify a paid, custom-priced tool. It is a less natural fit for teams seeking a self-serve free plan or relying on software alone to determine their current filing obligations.

Pros and cons

Pros: Automated CSV preparation avoids manual formatting, a practical advantage for organizations assembling workforce data for filing.
Pros: It addresses demographic fields as well as hours, earnings, and pay-band classification, covering the data described for Component 2 reporting.
Pros: Dedicated Azure hosting, stated security certifications, TLS protections, and hashed passwords are pertinent safeguards for sensitive employee data.
Cons: Custom pricing requires a direct inquiry, so buyers cannot readily compare a published fee with their reporting needs.
Cons: Historical Component 2 dates and reporting-year details in the FAQ make it important to verify present-day requirements rather than treat the product’s compliance content as current guidance.
Cons: Weekday phone support ends at 6:00 p.m. CST and is not described as weekend support.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, start with the EEO Reporting Software category. Choose Harmny HR Compliance if a free plan matters: it offers up to 10 users, 5 GB of storage, and a 2 MB upload limit, alongside a free trial. Its stated entry point is more accessible, though those caps may not suit larger teams or files.

Talign Compliance Reporting is another paid option, with pricing not stated and a demo requested through Talign. Consider Workday Human Capital Management if you are evaluating a paid human-capital-management product rather than a tool focused on EEO report preparation. AcquireTM is a paid web product with recruiting-oriented pricing and job-board, job, user, and candidate allowances, making it a different choice for teams whose priority is hiring.

Affirmity EEO-1 and VETS 4212 Reporting Software is a paid web-based alternative for readers comparing reporting tools. Netchex HR is worth considering when payroll is the broader need: its Core plan includes unlimited payroll runs and Pay Cards, while All-In adds hiring, time and scheduling, benefits, and performance. PeopleAdmin Applicant Tracking System is a more relevant choice for higher-education institutions seeking customizable hiring workflows. Diversio is a paid web option centered on employee risk insights, manager recommendations, and HRIS data import rather than EEO-1 CSV submission.

Verdict

EEO Reporter is a sensible choice for organizations that need to assemble workforce information and automate CSV preparation for EEO reporting, especially when manual formatting is a burden. Its focused workflow and stated security measures are the strongest reasons to consider it. Look elsewhere if you need transparent published pricing, or confirm current reporting rules independently before treating its historical Component 2 guidance as applicable.
