Overview

Ditat brings dispatch and driver management together with billing, settlements, EDI, compliance, maintenance, portals, and reporting. That breadth can reduce the need to coordinate separate systems across core transportation workflows, especially for high-volume operations. It also means smaller operators should confirm that the platform's scope and commercial terms match what they actually need.

The browser-based, cloud-hosted system requires no on-premise server. Ditat says onboarding includes data migration, team training, and live support, with timing shaped by the size and complexity of the operation. Those provisions are useful for businesses moving established workflows, though they do not make implementation effort disappear.

Key features

Dispatch, EDI, and automation

Dispatch connects to driver management, billing, settlements, integrations, and compliance. Native EDI handles load tenders, shipment updates, supporting documents, and freight invoicing; Ditat says its in-house EDI is included. The platform also supports APIs, file transfers, and partner-specific integration paths. This is a strong fit for carriers and brokerages that need electronic document exchange as part of routine operations.

AI document processing extracts shipment details from rate confirmations and can create a shipment with the extracted data and the uploaded file attached. That can cut repetitive entry, while leaving the team with a workflow to review against its own requirements.

Fuel planning and fleet workflows

Fuel optimization uses load and route information alongside fuel levels, prices, discounts, and IFTA data to recommend stops and fill-up amounts. Planned-versus-actual reporting helps teams compare recommendations with fueling outcomes, and controls can restrict fueling to approved stations. The feature is relevant to fleets seeking more structured fuel decisions; access and the truck limit are sales-controlled, so buyers should clarify both before committing.

Driver mobile apps support dispatch, document scanning, in-app messaging, and automated status updates. Ditat also brings maintenance and equipment management into its wider workflow, while its accounting integrations include QuickBooks, SAP, and NetSuite for billing, settlements, and revenue data.

Integrations, security, and data

Ditat advertises more than 250 integrations spanning accounting, ELD and telematics, fuel cards, factoring, load boards, visibility, tolls, and payments. That range is valuable when a business depends on existing systems, but buyers should verify that the specific partners and data flows they rely on are covered.

Ditat describes role-based permissions, two-factor authentication, secure infrastructure, regular snapshots and backups, and audited SOC 2 Type II practices. It says customers own their operational data and can export it and access reporting, useful safeguards for organizations that need control over business records.

Pricing

Ditat TMS: custom pricing through sales; the company offers personalized demos. Dispatch tools, driver settlements, compliance management, a driver app, ELD integrations, and equipment management are part of the product. The fuel optimization help page also directs customers to sales for pricing and for raising the feature's truck limit.

With no published subscription price or stated seat or usage terms, prospective buyers cannot compare total cost from the outset. Ask sales to clarify implementation, the fuel feature's truck cap, and any usage-based charges alongside the quoted subscription.

Platforms

Ditat supports web, Android, iOS, and API access. The TMS runs in a browser as a cloud-hosted service, while dedicated mobile apps serve drivers. No on-premise server is required. These options suit teams that need browser access for office workflows and mobile tools for drivers; organizations requiring a self-hosted deployment should look elsewhere.

Who it's for

Ditat is aimed at trucking carriers, freight brokerages, and asset-based brokerages, including fleets managing high-volume operations. Its strongest case is for teams seeking one connected system for dispatch, EDI, settlements, compliance, maintenance, and fuel workflows. A smaller operator focused on a narrower set of needs should weigh the implementation and custom-priced scope against a more specialized option.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad operational coverage: Dispatch, billing, settlements, compliance, maintenance, and reporting sit within one transportation platform.
Native EDI included: Tender, update, document, and freight-invoice automation is part of the platform rather than a separately priced add-on, according to Ditat.
Practical fuel controls: Recommendations account for route, fuel, pricing, discounts, and IFTA data, with approved-station controls and planned-versus-actual reporting.
Wide integration ecosystem: More than 250 advertised integrations can help connect common accounting, telematics, fuel, and freight services.
Guided onboarding and data export: Training, migration support, live assistance, and customer data ownership address important transition and control concerns.

Cons

Cost is hard to evaluate upfront: Subscription pricing is custom, so buyers need a sales quote before comparing total cost.
Fuel optimization has a sales-set truck limit: Fleet growth or current size may affect access, and the cap requires discussion with sales.
Implementation varies by operation: Onboarding timelines depend on complexity, so organizations should plan for a tailored transition rather than a fixed rollout.

Verdict

Ditat is a strong candidate for carriers and brokerages that want dispatch, EDI, financial operations, compliance, driver tools, and fleet workflows connected in a cloud-based TMS. Its included native EDI, broad integrations, and fuel-planning controls are the clearest reasons to consider it. Choose another option if published pricing or a self-hosted platform is a priority; otherwise, request a personalized demo and a detailed quote to determine whether its scope and truck limits fit your operation.
