Overview

Stych is a French driving school that combines online theory study with instruction through physical agencies and meeting points. It is best suited to learners who want code revision and driving-course administration in one service, with in-person lessons as part of the route to a licence. Its free code plan is generous; driving lessons are a separate, locally priced commitment.

Key features

Code study brings together videos, course material, exercises and mock exams. The Code plans include 5,000 questions and 30 mock exams, giving learners a substantial practice bank; only the paid plans add coaching, administrative support and an exam place. Code revision is accessible in the app 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Learners can manage their file, schedule lessons and follow progress through the app, website or agencies. The app also supports administrative steps and displays teacher observations, connecting independent study with instructor feedback. Driving courses are offered in manual or automatic cars, through standard or accompanied-driving training. Lessons are advertised Monday to Saturday, from 7 h to 21 h.

Stych’s network comprises 78 agencies, 1,052 meeting points and 831 state-qualified instructors. That reach may make it practical for learners beyond major centres, though the relevant agency and its prices depend on postal code. The service also offers motorcycle, bicycle, scooter and eco-driving training. Stych says it is Qualiopi-certified and approved for CPF-funded training.

Pricing

Stych has a free plan and no free trial. Code plans have fixed prices, while driving-package prices depend on the agency associated with the learner’s postal code. A place at the code exam costs 30 € when booked separately.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Code Eco	0.00 USD per free	Unlimited duration; code app, video lessons and online manual, 5,000 questions and 30 mock exams.
Code Zen	9.99 USD per year	Forfait 12 mois; public price 19.99€; code app, video lessons and online manual, 5,000 questions, 30 mock exams, administrative steps and coaching, and one code-exam place.
Code Réussite	33.99 USD per year	Forfait 12 mois; public price 43.99€; the same stated code-study materials, administrative steps and coaching, and one code-exam place.
Permis Zen (boîte manuelle, 5 cours)	249.00 USD per once	À partir de; public price 274€; code preparation, five driving lessons and an initial assessment. Price is tied to the agency and postal code.

Code Eco is a strong starting point for independent learners: it includes the full question and mock-exam counts without a time limit, but not coaching, administrative support or an exam place. Code Zen adds those services and an exam place on a 12-month term; Code Réussite carries the same listed inclusions at a higher price, so the supplied plan details do not identify an additional benefit for that tier. Permis Zen is for learners ready to start driving lessons, but its five-lesson package is manual-only and its starting price varies locally.

Platforms

Stych is available on Android, iOS and the web. The app supports code revision and course administration, while learners can also use the website or agencies to manage their file, plan lessons and track progress.

Who it's for

Stych suits learners who value a sizeable free theory course and want a path from code revision to in-person driving instruction. It is also a fit for people who need manual or automatic lessons, accompanied driving, or related training such as motorcycle or eco-driving courses. Learners should check their local agency before committing to a driving package. It is less compelling for someone seeking only a low-cost paid code tier when Code Réussite offers no distinct listed inclusion over Code Zen, or for a learner who needs school-administration software: Stych’s school administration feature is marked no.

Pros and cons

Pro: Code Eco includes 5,000 questions and 30 mock exams with unlimited duration, giving independent learners a substantial free study option.
Pro: Course management spans the app, website and agencies, with progress tracking and teacher observations available in the app.
Pro: Manual and automatic lessons, accompanied driving and a sizable network create several routes into practical training.
Con: Driving prices vary by agency and postal code, so the package price cannot be treated as uniform nationwide.
Con: The free code tier excludes coaching, administrative support and an exam place; booking the code exam separately costs 30 €.
Con: Code Réussite costs more than Code Zen without a distinct additional inclusion stated for the higher tier.

Alternatives

En Voiture Simone is worth considering for code study if a learner prefers a free, unlimited theory plan with no ads, 140 course sheets, 2,000 questions and 50 exam-aligned series; Stych instead pairs its free study tier with a physical driving-school network.

directio is a web-based option for driving schools needing operational management, including unlimited students, enrollments, instructors and vehicles on its free plan; Stych is aimed at learner training rather than school administration.

Verdict

Choose Stych if you want a substantial free code course connected to a broad network of in-person driving instruction and a single place to manage lessons and progress. Its clearest drawback is that practical-course pricing depends on location, while the more expensive paid code tier has no distinct listed advantage over Code Zen. Check the local package price before choosing Stych for driving lessons.
