Overview

DaySmart Vet brings appointment management, medical records, payments, and client communication together. Recurring appointments, calendar sync, website and client-portal booking, and email and SMS reminders support day-to-day scheduling without limiting clients to a single booking route. That combination suits clinics managing regular follow-ups as well as new appointments.

Its stated practice coverage spans small-animal, equine, mobile, mixed-animal, multi-location, specialty, emergency, high-volume, and shelter settings. This breadth is a meaningful advantage for organizations outside the standard small-animal clinic model, though practices with more complex needs should confirm the fit and pricing with sales.

Key features

Clinical records and practice operations

Collaborative SOAP notes, digital health and vaccine records, and prescription refill requests connect documentation with recurring client and patient tasks. Inventory management adds an operational tool alongside clinical records. The value is strongest for teams seeking a common workflow; practices should weigh whether the features and add-ons included in their plan cover their requirements.

Reporting and integrations

More than 80 reports cover revenue, billing, inventory, appointments, clients, patients, and staff, giving managers multiple views of clinic activity. Report availability can depend on enabled features and add-ons, so the headline breadth does not guarantee every practice receives every report by default. DaySmart Vet also lists more than 40 integration partners, including IDEXX, Antech, QuickBooks Online, Vetcove, and Sunbit, a useful range for practices already relying on those services.

Daisy Voice

Daisy Voice is an add-on that captures visit conversations and generates structured SOAP notes in the patient record. It may appeal to practices looking to streamline documentation, but its add-on status means it should be considered separately from the starting plan.

Pricing

The starting plan is 123.00 USD per month. Pricing varies by practice, and larger practices can contact sales for custom pricing. The $123.00 USD per month starting point makes the product easier to evaluate than a quote-only offering, but it is not a universal price for every practice configuration.

Onboarding, training, and optional add-on costs are discussed upfront. Ask which reports, integrations, and add-ons are included in the proposed plan and what onboarding entails before comparing total costs. The pricing information also says DaySmart Vet offers 24/7 support by chat, email, or phone; dedicated onboarding and data migration support are described as part of its service.

Practices own their data, and DaySmart Vet can help coordinate an export at no cost if they leave. That is a practical safeguard for clinics concerned about retaining their records if they change systems.

Platforms

DaySmart Vet supports web, Android, and iOS. Its mobile app and cloud access from anywhere are useful for teams that need access beyond a fixed desktop, while the web version serves office-based work.

Who it's for

DaySmart Vet is best suited to veterinary practices that want scheduling, clinical records, payments, client communication, and reporting in a connected platform. Its broad practice-type coverage gives it relevance to small-animal, equine, mobile, mixed, specialty, emergency, multi-location, and high-volume or shelter operations. A larger or more specialized practice should confirm both feature fit and custom pricing before committing.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad practice coverage: Its stated support for practice types from mobile and equine to emergency and shelter settings extends its relevance beyond conventional clinics.
Wide reporting scope: More than 80 reports span financial, inventory, appointment, client, patient, and staff activity.
Multiple client booking and reminder routes: Website and portal booking, email and SMS reminders, recurring appointments, and calendar sync support ongoing scheduling.
Data export assistance: DaySmart Vet says it can help coordinate an export at no cost when a practice leaves.

Cons

Price varies by practice: The $123.00 USD per month starting plan is not a guaranteed price for larger or differently configured practices.
Some costs sit outside the starting price: Optional add-ons, onboarding, and training may affect the total.
Report access can vary: Enabled features and add-ons may determine which reports a practice can use.
Daisy Voice is an add-on: Practices wanting conversation-based SOAP note generation should account for it separately.

Alternatives

NaVetor is worth considering for practices seeking a free plan with full feature access when using Patterson payment services; eligibility depends on transaction volume. Provet Cloud may suit practices comparing a paid web-based option with monthly plans that include unlimited non-vet staff accounts on Core. ezyVet is another paid option, with packages starting at $199 per month and pricing that varies by practice size.

Digitail is a paid alternative with a free trial and a Mobile plan that includes SOAP records, scheduling and online booking, inventory, billing and payments, and more than 40 integrations. VETport may fit a practice comparing a plan priced at $1,405.00 USD per month for three locations and 10 vets. IDEXX Neo is a paid alternative with a free trial; contact IDEXX for pricing. Vetstar is another paid option, offered as self-hosted or web-based software. VetBlue is a paid alternative available on Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows.

Verdict

DaySmart Vet is a strong fit for practices that want core clinical and business workflows, broad practice-type coverage, mobile access, and substantial reporting in one platform. Its wide feature scope and data-export assistance are compelling reasons to shortlist it. Look elsewhere if a fixed, all-inclusive price matters more than practice-specific configuration, or if the required reports and add-ons push the total beyond budget.
