Overview

Daisie brings together courses and community for creative subjects including film, fashion, art, photography and design. Its online courses can be taken from anywhere. Daily interactive workshops give learners a scheduled way to participate, while pre-recorded lessons suit those who need to study on their own timetable.

The community may help learners find input from peers and experts, and Daisie also invites visitors to join its Discord. That is not the same as a promise of personal critique: a course page says direct instructor comments on student work are not guaranteed. The homepage reports an average student rating of 4.8 out of 5 from more than 10,000 reviews.

Key features

Live and self-paced learning

Daily live workshops are a useful fit for learners who value an interactive, scheduled format. Recorded lessons offer more flexibility, so students can revisit learning on their own schedule. Having both formats is a stronger proposition than a video-only course library for someone seeking a mix of structure and autonomy.

Course requirements and feedback

Course requirements can shape whether Daisie is practical for you. An animation course requires art equipment, Procreate on iPad, and Photoshop with the Animator’s Toolbar installed on iPad, Macbook or PC. That is a meaningful setup commitment, not a course to choose assuming a phone or basic browser alone will suffice. The course is online, but direct instructor comments on work are not guaranteed; choose it for the teaching format rather than assured one-to-one critique.

Pricing

Daisie uses a freemium model and offers a free plan alongside a 7-day trial with full access. The Standard subscription is 0.00 USD per year (billed $0/mo billed annually ($0); Full access during 7-day trial). The trial gives prospective learners a week of full access, but it should not be mistaken for a paid tier with stated ongoing benefits. Subscription refund requests can be sent to hello@daisie.com.

The free plan suits readers who want to start without a subscription charge. The trial is useful for sampling full access before deciding, while learners considering a particular course should first check whether its equipment requirements fit their setup and whether the feedback arrangement meets their needs.

Platforms

Daisie is available on the web and iOS. Its mobile app support is iOS-only, so Android users will need to use the web rather than a dedicated Android app.

Who it's for

Daisie is a good fit for creative learners who want a choice between live participation and self-paced video lessons, and who value a community alongside coursework. It is less suitable for someone who needs guaranteed instructor review or wants to begin a course without checking its required hardware and software.
