Overview

Vtiger CRM is a customer relationship management platform for organizations that want sales, marketing and support teams to work from shared customer records. It is strongest as an all-in-one option for teams that value cross-team context and a broad set of sales and automation tools; its free tier is useful for a small group, but strict quotas make growth a reason to budget for a paid plan.

Built around an open-source core, Vtiger also offers connections to more than 500 apps, including Mailchimp, Microsoft Outlook, Google, QuickBooks, Xero and Zapier. The company says it complies with GDPR, ISO and other standards, and offers 24x7 live chat support.

Key features

Shared customer records: Sales, marketing and support teams can share customer data and interactions on one platform. That is a practical advantage for businesses where several teams deal with the same customer.
Sales management: A visual pipeline, lead scoring and sales forecasting cover core sales workflows. These tools make Vtiger more than a contact database, although the listed features alone do not establish how deeply each can be tailored.
Marketing and workflow automation: Marketing automation, email marketing and workflow automation support coordinated outreach and recurring processes.
Email: Email sync connects email activity with CRM work, while monthly email allowances vary substantially by plan. Teams with high-volume campaigns should weigh those caps before choosing a tier.
Mobile and AI: Vtiger has Android and iOS apps, and AI features are part of the product. The published plan summaries do not distinguish which AI tools are included in each tier.
Plan flexibility: Standard and Single App licenses are offered to optimize subscription costs, and existing plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any point. Booster Packs can raise feature limits without requiring a full plan change.

Pricing

Vtiger uses freemium pricing. The free One Pilot plan is billed forever free and supports up to 10 users, 3,000 records, 1,000 emails per month and 3 GB of storage. That is a meaningful starting allowance for a small team, but record, email and storage limits could constrain a growing operation. A trial also provides access to core features without requiring a credit card.

One Growth — $12.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user: Includes 15 users, 100,000 records and 5,000 emails per month or 500 per user. It is the entry paid tier for teams that have outgrown the free caps, but its user ceiling and email quota still matter for larger or campaign-heavy teams.
One Professional — $30.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user: Includes unlimited users and records, plus 20,000 emails per month or 2,000 per user. This is the clearer fit for organizations needing room to expand beyond Growth’s user and record limits.
One Enterprise — $42.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user: Includes unlimited users and records. Its summary does not state an email allowance, so email-heavy buyers should compare it carefully with Professional.
One AI — $50.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user: Includes unlimited users and records. The plan name suggests an AI-oriented tier, but the plan summary does not specify its AI inclusions.

Yearly billing can save up to 34%, and local taxes are charged in addition to listed prices. Single App licenses and Booster Packs may offer a way to control costs or raise limits without moving to a broader tier. The listed paid plan prices are per user, so seat count directly affects spend.

Platforms

Vtiger provides mobile applications for Android and iOS. Those apps extend access beyond desktop work, although no other supported platform details are established here.

Who it's for

Vtiger is a good fit for small and midsize teams that want sales, marketing and customer support sharing a common customer record, along with sales pipeline tools, automation and integrations. The free plan can accommodate a modest team of up to 10 users, while Growth provides a measured upgrade path. Organizations likely to exceed Growth’s 15-user cap can move to Professional or higher, but should account for the per-user annual billing and applicable taxes.

It is less suitable for buyers seeking a defined, generous email allowance at every paid tier, or those who need to know exactly which AI capabilities come with a particular plan before committing.

Pros and cons

Pro — Shared customer context across teams: Sales, marketing and support can work with the same data and interactions rather than treating each function as a separate system.
Pro — Broad workflow coverage: Pipeline management, forecasting, lead scoring, marketing and workflow automation span several common CRM needs.
Pro — A useful free starting point: Up to 10 users and 3,000 records make the free plan viable for a small team evaluating a shared CRM.
Pro — Extensive integrations and mobile apps: More than 500 app connections and Android and iOS apps support a connected, mobile workflow.
Con — Free usage is capped: The 3,000-record, 1,000-email-per-month and 3 GB storage limits can become obstacles as customer data and outreach grow.
Con — Paid seats add up: Paid prices are per user and billed annually, so larger teams need to account for seat count as well as local taxes.
Con — Plan summaries leave some buying questions open: Enterprise and AI do not state email allowances, and the AI tier’s specific inclusions are not described.

Alternatives

Choose 1CRM instead if a freemium CRM with desktop platform support alongside mobile apps better matches your environment; its cloud Startup plan is shown at $13.00 USD per user/month billed annually and is capped at three users.

Freshdesk is an alternative for teams considering a customer-support-focused product, with a free program for 1–2 agents for six months and a Growth plan at $19.00 USD per month billed annually.

Consider eGain Customer Engagement Hub as another customer-engagement option, or Kustomer for a paid platform with mobile, API and web availability. Intercom is worth comparing if a paid service with a free trial and an Essential plan at $19.00 USD per seat/month billed annually suits your needs; YundaDesk offers a free web-based option with unlimited agents, channels, conversations and messages per month.

For broader enterprise CRM options, Oracle Siebel CRM is paid and spans mobile, web, self-hosted and desktop platforms, while Pega CRM is a paid web-based alternative with a free trial.

Browse CRM Software for more general options, Customer Service CRM Software for support-oriented choices, Manufacturing CRM Software for that sector, or Sales Force Automation Software for sales-focused tools.

Verdict

Vtiger CRM is a strong choice for teams that want shared customer context across sales, marketing and support without assembling separate tools for pipeline management and automation. Its generous free user allowance and extensive integrations make it approachable, but capped usage, per-user annual pricing and unclear higher-tier email and AI inclusions are reasons to compare plans closely. Choose it when cross-team CRM coverage is the priority; look elsewhere if predictable high-volume email allowances or fully specified AI plan features are essential.
