Overview

Craftable is a cloud-based back-office platform for restaurants, hotels and other hospitality operators. It is best suited to teams that want purchasing, inventory, invoice handling and cost reporting connected across locations. Its breadth is a strength, but prospective customers must request custom pricing rather than compare a stated subscription.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Dallas, Craftable says it supports more than 80,000 hospitality professionals and processes over 4 million invoices annually. The platform ties inventory counts and recipes to expected ingredient usage, helping operators spot cost variances alongside food, labor and purchasing trends.

Key features

Purchasing and invoice automation

Intelligent Ordering brings multiple vendors into one cart and supports purchase orders, EDI, Punchout and enhanced catalogs. That connected workflow can suit operators coordinating orders across suppliers. AP Automation captures invoices, extracts line items with AI, matches invoices against purchase orders and receipts, and suggests GL codes, reducing manual handling while keeping accounting steps in the same system.

Inventory and recipe costing

Live stock visibility, barcode scanning and transfer tracking cover departments and locations. Recipe costing applies current vendor pricing to plate costs and compares theoretical with actual COGS, making it useful for teams looking to connect what they buy and count with what recipes should consume. Waste tracking is also supported.

Reporting, integrations and AI

The dashboard combines food cost, labor and purchasing data to show trends and variances. Craftable lists more than 60 POS integrations, over 1,000 vendor connections and more than 35 ERP and accounting integrations. Named connections include Toast, Square, Sysco, US Foods and Gordon Food Service, alongside accounting options such as QuickBooks, Acumatica, Aptech, Bill.com, M3, Microsoft Dynamics GP and R365.

Crafti can investigate POS, labor, invoice and inventory data, and draft recipes and purchase orders for approval. It is read-only by default, isolates data by tenant, logs actions and does not use customer data to train a model. Those controls make the assistant more bounded than an autonomous workflow tool.

Security and support

Craftable says it has completed a SOC 2 Type II audit and operates a Trust Center. Its stated controls include AWS hosting, AES256-encrypted backups with up to 35 days of point-in-time recovery, TLS 1.2+ and SSO. Customer Care provides Dallas-based in-house support, phone coverage Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm CST, in-app chat and a support center.

Pricing

Craftable is paid software with custom pricing; prospective customers are directed to book a demo. That makes it difficult to assess cost before speaking with sales, so operators comparing budgets or evaluating a small deployment should ask for a quote early. No subscription tiers, seat limits, trial period or renewal terms are stated.

Platforms

Craftable supports web, Android and iOS. It offers both full and inventory-focused mobile apps for iOS and Android, useful for teams that need inventory work away from a desktop.

Who it's for

Craftable targets full-service and limited-service restaurants, bars, hotels, resorts and food-and-entertainment concepts. Its linked ordering, inventory, invoice and reporting functions are most relevant to operators who need to follow costs across suppliers, departments or locations. A business seeking only one narrow task, or one that requires an upfront subscription price, may prefer to compare more focused or transparently priced options.

Pros and cons

Pros: Purchasing, inventory, AP and financial reporting share one system, linking operational activity with cost visibility.
Pros: Broad POS, vendor and accounting connections can help fit the platform into varied hospitality supply and finance setups.
Pros: Mobile apps, location transfers and barcode scanning support inventory work across sites and departments.
Pros: Crafti's read-only default and tenant isolation place defined boundaries around its data analysis and drafting.
Cons: Custom pricing requires a sales conversation, which limits quick price comparisons.
Cons: The platform spans several back-office disciplines, so it may be more than a single-location operator needs if only one workflow is a priority.

Alternatives

For a narrower comparison by workflow, see Restaurant Procurement Software, Restaurant Inventory Management Software and Restaurant Expense Management Software.

MarketMan is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web and API platforms. Its Starter plan is 249.00 USD per month, billed monthly, for independent operators and includes one Vendor EDI Integration and 50 AI-powered invoice scans per month; consider it when those stated entry-plan terms are a better fit than custom pricing.
Fourth Purchasing is another paid option for Android, iOS and web.
FOOD-TRAK is a paid option available on Android, iOS, web and Windows.
Apicbase has paid Growth and Professional plans with pricing on request; Growth starts from five outlets. It may suit operators whose deployment begins at that scale.
Supy offers a paid comprehensive plan at 250.00 USD per month, with a tailored quote depending on operational setup, location count and payment terms. Consider it if that stated starting price and quote structure fit your budgeting process.
ChefMod has a Network plan from 199.00 USD per month per location, with in-network supplier programs, negotiated group pricing, marketplace ordering and supplier onboarding. Its stated network focus may suit buyers prioritizing those supplier-program functions.
BlueCart is a paid alternative with pricing that varies by selected features.
PurchaseFlow offers an application-required Startup Program with the first two sites free for 12 months and full platform access for early-stage operators with one to four sites; that may suit an eligible startup seeking a no-cost initial period.

Verdict

Craftable is a strong fit for hospitality operators who want purchasing, inventory, invoice automation and cost reporting tied together across locations. Its breadth of integrations and recipe-to-inventory cost visibility are compelling reasons to choose it; custom pricing is the main reason to look elsewhere or compare alternatives before committing.
