Overview

eBrevia brings contract analysis, drafting, search, and integrations together rather than focusing on a single review task. Contract Analyzer extracts terms, compares clauses, surfaces risks, and answers questions with results linked to their sources. Lens adds natural-language search across contract sets without requiring a separate extraction model for each question.

The suite supports PDF and Word files and 37 languages. That range suits varied contract collections, while source-linked answers give reviewers a way to trace findings back to agreements. eBrevia also states that it holds SOC 1 and SOC 2 certifications and complies with GDPR and HIPAA, with encrypted storage, access controls, monitoring, and audits.

Key features

Analysis and search

Contract Analyzer offers more than 700 pre-trained extraction fields, with custom fields for organization-specific needs. It can review large sets, compare provisions, identify obligations and risks, and answer questions. This is a strong fit for repeatable portfolio review; organizations with unusual terminology may need to define custom fields to capture it consistently.

Lens lets users query contract sets in natural language without building a new extraction model for every question. That makes ad hoc investigation less dependent on preparing a bespoke extraction workflow, while the source-linked results in Contract Analyzer help keep answers auditable.

Drafting and integrations

DraftPro works as a Microsoft Word add-in: it applies playbooks, flags deviations, suggests fallback language, and prepares redlines. Clause comparison, redline suggestions, and playbook support make eBrevia relevant beyond document discovery, though teams seeking drafting support only may find the broader suite more than they need.

eBrevia Connect syncs with more than 2,000 applications, databases, and systems. Named options include SharePoint, Box, Salesforce, SAP, iManage, Relativity, NetDocuments, DocuSign, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps. An open API supports further integration customization. This breadth is useful when contract work spans existing systems, but the value depends on the connections an organization actually needs.

Pricing

eBrevia uses a paid model with custom pricing. Its Custom quote plan requires contacting sales for a personalized demo; no fixed price or seat allowance is provided. That approach can suit organizations buying a tailored deployment, but it offers no clear entry point for individuals or small teams comparing costs upfront.

Organizations can choose cloud access or an on-premise solution. The deployment choice matters for teams with specific infrastructure requirements, but pricing is still custom either way.

Platforms

eBrevia supports web access, self-hosted deployment, and API use. Its platform options give organizations room to connect contract workflows to existing systems or keep deployment on-premise. DraftPro is specifically a Microsoft Word add-in.

Who it's for

eBrevia serves law firms, corporations, audit and consulting companies, and financial institutions. It is most persuasive for teams managing large contract sets that need extraction, comparison, drafting workflows, and system integrations together. A buyer looking for a low-cost individual tool or a single-purpose drafting add-in should compare narrower options before committing to a custom quote.

Pros and cons

Broad contract workflow: Analysis, search, redlining, playbooks, and integrations are combined in one suite, reducing the need to assemble separate tools for these tasks.
Flexible extraction and access: More than 700 pre-trained fields, custom fields, an open API, and cloud or on-premise deployment support varied organizational needs.
Price is opaque upfront: Custom quotes require a sales conversation, so buyers cannot readily compare a published per-seat price or plan limits.
Potentially more suite than some teams need: Organizations focused only on one drafting or review task may not benefit from the full combination of capabilities.

Alternatives

For a focused shortlist, compare Legal Contract Analytics Software, Contract Analysis Software, Contract Analytics Software, and AI Contract Review Software.

Robin AI is worth considering for buyers who want a free plan or trial and web or extension access.
Legartis is a better fit for a team that can work within its free plan: one seat, two NDA reviews per month, and German, English, and French support.
Spellbook suits buyers seeking a Word add-in and Associate with support and training, and who are comfortable with custom pricing based on team size.
LegalOn is an option for teams seeking unlimited AI review and redlining, 135+ playbooks, and unlimited repository and search.
DocJuris may suit buyers who prefer an annual platform fee sized to contract volume and enabled apps, with unlimited users and included standard apps, agents, and enterprise integrations.
Kira is another paid, web-based alternative.
ThoughtRiver may suit individuals looking for a monthly Starter plan priced at 6.00 USD per month.
Luminance is another paid, web-based alternative.

Verdict

Choose eBrevia if your organization needs contract analysis, drafting support, search, and integrations across a substantial agreement workflow, especially when on-premise deployment or API customization matters. Its main advantage is the breadth of those capabilities in one suite; its main drawback is custom pricing that leaves upfront cost comparison difficult. Teams with narrower needs or a requirement for published pricing should look elsewhere.
