Overview

Continu is an enterprise learning platform for organizations educating employees, customers, and partners. It is best suited to teams that need course creation, automated training delivery, and reporting across internal and external audiences. Its breadth is appealing, but request-based pricing and a planned implementation make it a substantial choice rather than a quick, low-cost training tool.

Founded in 2012 and based in New York, Continu combines authoring, learning delivery, assessments, and analytics. Branded portals and separate Hubs can support distinct external audiences, while Eddy brings learning answers and training into Slack, Microsoft Teams, and SMS.

Its range of use cases includes Customer Education Software, Partner Training Software, and Learning Management Systems.

Key features

Creation, assignment, and reporting

Built-in authoring tools and AI assistance help teams create courses, learning journeys, and assessments. Automated assignment workflows and Continu Insights’ real-time reports connect training delivery with visibility into learning data. That combination should suit organizations managing ongoing programs across multiple groups; teams seeking only a basic course repository may not need this breadth.

Assessments and certificates support evaluation and recognition of course completion. Learners completing screen-recording assessments must install Continu’s Screen Capture Chrome extension, a practical requirement that may complicate participation for people using other browsers or restricted devices.

Portals, integrations, and security

Branded portals serve external audiences, and Hubs let organizations create separate learning experiences for sub-brands. The integrations directory includes Workday, Salesforce, BambooHR, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, LinkedIn Learning, and Udemy for Business, which can help fit training into established tools. API access is also supported.

Continu says it undergoes annual SOC 2 Type II audits, uses AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2 or 1.3 in transit, and is GDPR and CCPA compliant. It lists ISO 27001 practices and advertises a 99.99% uptime guarantee, with service status published at status.continu.co.

Pricing

Continu is paid, has no free plan, and uses custom pricing across all three tiers. Growth covers under 1,000 monthly active users; Professional covers 1,000–5,000; Enterprise covers 5,000 or more. These thresholds give buyers a way to identify the relevant tier, but organizations cannot compare plan costs from a published price.

Growth includes access to implementation experts, success experts, technical support, and self-service training resources. The tier descriptions do not establish what additional features distinguish Professional and Enterprise, so buyers should confirm those differences when requesting pricing. Continu says implementation costs 10% of the first-year contract value and recommends allowing 60 days for setup. That adds both a material first-year expense and a lead time to adoption; it is less suited to teams that need training software immediately.

Platforms

Continu supports Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows, as well as web access, an API, and an extension. Screen-recording assessments specifically require the Chrome extension, so general platform support does not remove that browser requirement for this task.

Who it's for

Continu is a strong fit for organizations that need to educate more than one audience, manage recurring assignments, and report on learning activity in one enterprise platform. Its branded portals and Hubs are particularly relevant to teams serving customers, partners, or sub-brands alongside employees. The 60-day setup recommendation and implementation charge make it a poorer fit for small teams seeking an inexpensive tool they can deploy without a substantial rollout.

Readers comparing by audience can also consider Sales Training Software and Restaurant Employee Training Software.

Alternatives

LatitudeLearning is another paid option for organizations comparing learning platforms; its listed user-license pricing is based on a three-year contract billed annually.

SkyPrep offers a free trial and plans described for 100 active users with unlimited courses, making it worth comparing for buyers who want those terms.

Peerfold has a free trial and an organization-seats add-on priced at 99.00 USD per month on Starter and Professional, or included with Enterprise.

Teachable may suit buyers focused on a defined product count and transaction fees: its Starter plan is 39.00 USD per month for 5 products with a 7.5% transaction fee, while Builder is 89.00 USD per month for 10 products with a 0% fee.

Academy of Mine is a paid alternative whose Professional plan starts at 999.00 USD per month and includes core features, 24-7 helpdesk support, and a premium customer success team.

Acadle offers a free trial and a Basic Plan at 39.00 USD per month for 200 users, 10GB storage, and 2 members.

Teachfloor offers a free trial; its Startup plan is 89.00 USD per month for 50 user seats, unlimited courses, and 10 GB file storage.

Thought Industries is another paid learning platform to compare.

Verdict

Choose Continu if your organization needs one platform for employee, customer, and partner learning, with course creation, automated assignments, reporting, and audience-specific portals. Its strongest case is the breadth of those connected capabilities, backed by enterprise-oriented security practices and integrations. Look elsewhere if custom pricing, an implementation charge, a recommended 60-day setup, or the Chrome extension requirement for screen-recording assessments makes the commitment impractical.
