Overview

ComplyFlow is a contractor compliance platform for organisations managing workers, sites, and safety processes across multiple client relationships. It suits contractor-heavy operations that need lifecycle coverage rather than a standalone inspection or checklist app. Its breadth is compelling, but contractor and AI-review charges sit alongside custom-priced client platform access.

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Sydney, Australia, ComplyFlow serves sectors including construction, mining, manufacturing, government, healthcare, utilities, transport, and facilities. Its modules reach from prequalification and workforce compliance to training, site access, permits, inspections, incidents, and risk management, making it a fit for organisations coordinating compliance across many kinds of site activity.

Key features

From onboarding to site safety

ComplyFlow connects company registration and worker records with training and induction, visitor sign-in, site documents, permits, plant and equipment, inspections, incidents, and risk management. Assignments, recurring schedules, and photo and signature evidence capture support ongoing operational work, not just initial contractor screening. That range is useful when compliance steps span teams and sites; it may be more platform than needed for a small team seeking only digital checklists.

AI-assisted prequalification

AI can assess uploaded documents against configured requirements, identify missing information, and help draft review criteria. The company says its team makes the decisions, so the AI assists review rather than replacing human judgment. The per-review charge means this capability is most relevant when a client requests AI-reviewed prequalification.

Integrations and controls

Native connectors include Microsoft, Okta, Yardi, TechnologyOne, KeyWatcher Australia, Unicard, Torus, intelliPermit, hsi, solv, Power BI, and CoreVision. A REST API and MCP server are also offered. The API reads every module and supports writes for staff, sites, work orders, inspections, and competencies, a useful boundary for teams planning custom connections.

ComplyFlow says it has held ISO 27001 certification since 2019 and hosts data in Australian AWS data centres, encrypted at rest and in transit. Permissions can be assigned by module and site, with separate controls for personal information; external tokens inherit user permissions and can be read-only.

Mobile work

Free native iOS and Android apps address two practical site tasks. Live Access signs workers in at gates and checks compliance; the Inspection app supports offline checklists and syncs findings once connectivity returns. Offline support is valuable on sites with unreliable coverage, while the two apps serve specific workflows rather than replacing the broader platform.

Pricing

ComplyFlow is freemium, but its free entry point is company registration rather than a full client platform.

Contractor company registration: 0.00 AUD per free. Contractors can register a company, add Workers, and hold documents at no charge. It is a useful starting point, but it does not remove later per-worker or review costs.
Contractor Worker licence: 35.00 AUD per year, billed AU$35 a year per Worker on site. One licence per Worker is valid with every Client on ComplyFlow, which avoids buying a separate licence for each client relationship.
AI-reviewed prequalification: 100.00 AUD per year, billed AU$100 a year. Standard AI-reviewed prequalification is charged only if a Client asks for one, so it is not a universal contractor fee.
Client platform: custom pricing. The pricing calculator lists annual unit prices and optional modules: the first 5 internal users are free, then $35/user/year; optional modules are $24/user/year per module; the first 5 sites are free, then $200/site/year. Contractor and Worker fees also apply. This structure can make costs easier to map to users and sites, but buyers should account for modules and contractor charges rather than treating the free allowances as the total price.

The integration page describes implementation help from system mapping through go-live and phone support. White-glove and enterprise support packages are listed separately in the pricing calculator.

Platforms

ComplyFlow is available on web, iOS, Android, and through an API. Its free native mobile apps are particularly useful for gate sign-in and offline inspection work; the broader compliance setup is geared to organisations operating across sites.

Who it's for

ComplyFlow is best suited to contractor-heavy organisations that need to connect onboarding, worker credentials, site access, and safety processes across multiple sites. Its sector reach includes construction, mining, manufacturing, government, healthcare, utilities, transport, and facilities. Smaller teams focused on a single inspection workflow may prefer a narrower tool with simpler pricing.

Pros and cons

Pro: Broad lifecycle modules connect prequalification with site and safety processes, reducing the need to treat each stage as a separate workflow.
Pro: A Worker licence is valid with every ComplyFlow client, which is practical for contractors serving multiple clients on the platform.
Pro: Offline checklists and later sync support inspections where mobile connectivity is unreliable.
Pro: Module- and site-based permissions, separate personal-information controls, and Australian data hosting address governance needs for complex organisations.
Con: Client platform pricing is custom, and optional modules, extra users, extra sites, and contractor fees make budgeting dependent on the intended setup.
Con: The free plan covers contractor registration and document holding, not a free client platform; ongoing Worker licences and requested AI reviews add costs.
Con: AI prequalification is an additional charge and still relies on the company's team to make decisions.

Alternatives

For a narrower inspection or checklist need, consider Checklist Software or Property Management Vendor Management Software as category starting points.

myInspections is a better fit for landlords prioritising inspections: its Landlord plan is 8.00 USD per month for unlimited inspections and properties, one seat, templates, branded reports, and assisted setup.
SafetyCulture (now Mitti) is worth considering for teams that want a free inspection-led entry point: its Free plan supports up to 10 seats, 300 AI credits per seat per month, and five active inspection templates, plus basic analytics, training, tasks, and issue reporting.
Survtapp may suit a small team building forms or kiosks on a bounded free tier: it allows three users, 100 responses per month, 5 MB storage, two kiosk devices, three forms, and 120-day data retention.
Safesite is an option for teams wanting a free safety tool with unlimited members and guests, provided the 30-day reporting limit is acceptable.
Safety Reports is another alternative.
Auditus suits buyers looking for a paid audit and inspection tool, with its Premium plan starting at 12.99 GBP per month and 1,500 audits or inspections per year.
Field Eagle is an alternative with custom pricing based on team size, sites, and requirements rather than standard per-user tiers.
Fluix is another paid alternative.

Verdict

Choose ComplyFlow when contractor compliance spans workers, multiple sites, and connected safety workflows, especially if its integrations and offline inspection app match how teams operate. Its main advantage is lifecycle breadth paired with reusable Worker licences; its main drawback is that the client platform is custom priced and total costs can include per-worker, per-site, and module charges. For a single inspection or checklist workflow, a more focused alternative is likely the better fit.
