Overview

Cloze is a relationship-focused CRM for people who want email and contact activity organized around the people they work with. It suits professionals who need reminders and email tools as well as teams that want shared CRM controls. Its breadth is appealing, but check the paid-plan limits and the iOS call-and-text sync restrictions before committing.

Key features

Relationship and contact management

Cloze brings email, meetings, calls, files, notes, messages, and contact activity together, making it more useful for following a relationship over time than a basic address book. Reminders help keep follow-ups from slipping. Contact imports cover Google Contacts, Exchange Contacts, Office 365 Contacts, iPhone and Android contacts, CSV, Excel, and vCard, which gives users several routes into the service.

Email and integrations

Email sync supports Gmail, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 Outlook, iCloud, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook.com, Yahoo!, AOL, and IMAP-enabled services. Open tracking, reply reminders, templates, mail merge, and scheduled sending make Cloze a stronger choice for email-led relationship work than contact storage alone. Connections include Google and Microsoft services, Dropbox, Slack, RingCentral, Zapier, Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot, and Mailchimp.

Mobile, security, and administration

Cloze has iPhone, iPad, Android phone, and tablet apps, plus a Chrome add-on that brings it to web pages. The iOS call-and-text sync app can sync call history available on the iPhone and supports SMS, iMessage, and WhatsApp, but it does not sync photos or attachments. That makes it useful for capturing communication context, not a complete archive of mobile conversations.

Cloze says sensitive information, including email, messages, and passwords, is encrypted so its employees cannot see user information. It describes AWS hosting and AWS certifications and audits including PCI DSS Level 1, ISO 27001, FISMA Moderate, HIPAA, and SAS 70 Type II. Business Platinum adds customizable roles, enforced two-step authentication, export controls, and enterprise single sign-on support. The API uses API-key authentication, while public integrations require OAuth 2.0.

Pricing

Cloze is proprietary software with a free plan and paid plans. Pro and Business trials last 14 days and do not require credit card details.

Free: 0.00 USD per free. It includes contact management and an email inbox, making it a low-commitment way to start; it does not offer the higher custom limits and team features described for paid plans.
Cloze Pro: 17.00 USD per month billed annually, or $19.99 month-to-month. The individual plan allows up to 10 custom segments, 25 custom fields, and 100 custom templates. It fits a solo user who needs more structure and email tooling without team pricing.
Business Silver: 21.00 USD per month per user billed annually, or $24.99/user month-to-month. It is aimed at small businesses and includes team features, making it the entry point for shared use.
Business Gold: 29.00 USD per month per user billed annually, or $34.99/user month-to-month. It includes Silver and raises team limits to 20 custom segments, 50 custom fields, and 500 custom templates, for teams that need more room to organize work.
Business Platinum: 42.00 USD per month per user billed annually, or $49.99/user month-to-month. It includes Gold, user archiving, up to 100 custom segments, 250 custom fields, and 2,500 custom templates, along with enterprise controls. Its higher per-user price makes sense when those controls and limits matter.
Concierge Service: 20.00 USD per month per user, with a $500/mo minimum, as an add-on to any plan. Priority email support, training, a customer success manager, and help with imports, campaigns, integrations, and configuration make it relevant to organizations that need guided setup; the minimum is a substantial commitment.

Platforms

Cloze is available on Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and the web, with a browser extension and API. That reach helps users work across desktop and mobile, though the iOS sync limits may matter to anyone relying on attachments as part of their communication record.

Who it's for

Cloze is best for individuals and teams whose work depends on maintaining relationships across email and other interactions. Its import options, reminders, and email tools suit users who want a fuller contact workflow than a free address book. Teams should compare per-user costs and custom limits, while people seeking only basic contact storage may not need its broader CRM toolkit.

Pros and cons

Pro: It gathers many kinds of contact activity in one place, helping users keep relationship context together.
Pro: Broad email-provider support and tools such as mail merge, scheduled sending, and reply reminders suit active email follow-up.
Pro: Business Platinum provides role, authentication, export, and single-sign-on controls for organizations that need them.
Con: Business plans are priced per user, so costs rise with team size.
Con: iOS call-and-text sync excludes photos and attachments, leaving gaps for users who need those items in their records.
Con: Concierge Service has a $500/mo minimum, which can put guided support beyond reach for smaller users.

Alternatives

For a permanently free contact manager with no user or time limit, unlimited upgrades, and unlimited file uploads, consider OfficeClip Contact Manager. Pobuca Connect is another freemium option, though registration requires an invitation. Choose ContactsPlus if its free plan's one synced account, 1,000-contact cap, and daily sync suit your needs. KADO offers a free one-user Networker Lite plan with digital business cards and contact capture. Popl is an alternative for digital business cards and event lead capture.

Memotoo has a free plan capped at 50 contacts and a Premium plan at 4.50 USD per month. If you only need contacts saved to a Google Account and synced across signed-in devices, Google Contacts is free. BizConnect is another freemium option for web, iOS, and Android.

For broader category comparisons, browse Contact Management Software, CRM Software, or Real Estate CRM Software.

Verdict

Choose Cloze if relationship follow-up is central to your work and you want email, contact activity, and reminders in one CRM, with team controls available as your needs grow. Look elsewhere if you only need a simple contact list, if per-user business pricing is too much, or if iOS attachments must be captured alongside calls and messages.
