Overview

iSharing is a location-sharing and communication app for families and close friends. It suits people who want arrival alerts and safety features alongside real-time location, especially parents and caregivers. Its free plan covers the basics, but useful history and alerts are divided across paid tiers, and desktop access requires Platinum.

Key features

Place alerts notify friends when someone arrives at or leaves a chosen location. The free plan allows one place alert; Silver raises that to five, while Gold and Platinum remove the alert cap. That makes the free tier a workable starting point for one important destination, but a poor fit for households tracking several regular stops.

SOS alerts are included at every tier. Free provides standard SOS; Silver and above add surrounding audio, which gives those plans a more informative emergency signal. Driving reports cover behavior such as speed and sudden braking, but their history period depends on the plan. Free users can unlock seven days of their own location or driving history by watching an ad. Silver includes seven-day history and driving reports, Gold extends that to 90 days, and Platinum to one year.

Gold and Platinum also include driving alerts, street view, group subscription sharing, and linked devices. Battery and inactivity alerts are among the premium features, with availability depending on plan. Desktop browser access to real-time locations and alert management is exclusive to Platinum, a meaningful restriction for anyone who expects to manage a family circle from a computer.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	One place alert, standard SOS, and own seven-day location or driving history after watching an ad
Silver	Custom pricing	Five place alerts, seven-day history and driving reports, battery and inactivity alerts, and SOS sound alerts
Gold	Custom pricing	Unlimited place alerts, 90-day history and driving reports, driving alerts, street view, group subscription sharing, and linked devices
Platinum	Custom pricing	Gold features, one-year history and driving reports, and desktop web access

The free plan is best for basic real-time sharing and a small number of alerts; its history requires an ad, and it lacks the sound-enhanced SOS and expanded reports in paid plans. Silver suits users who want more alerts and SOS audio but can live with a week of history. Gold is the more suitable step for longer reporting and driving alerts, while Platinum is the only choice for a year of history or desktop access. A free trial is offered, but availability varies by country; check renewal terms before starting one.

Platforms

iSharing supports Android, iOS, and web, though its web access is limited: viewing real-time locations and managing alerts in a desktop browser requires Platinum. The app collects geolocation to provide its service. Its privacy policy says location data may also be shared for advertising, research, and analytics, and that safeguards are commercially reasonable without guaranteeing complete security. Those terms may not suit users unwilling to accept that data use.

Who it's for

iSharing is a reasonable fit for parents, caregivers, and close friends who want location sharing paired with place alerts and SOS. The Free plan is enough for basic sharing, while households tracking multiple places or wanting driving reports over time will need to weigh paid tiers. It is less suitable for anyone who requires desktop access without Platinum or places a high priority on tighter limits around location-data use.

Pros and cons

Pro: SOS is present on every plan, with surrounding audio added from Silver upward.
Pro: History scales from seven days to a year, giving users a clear upgrade path when short reporting windows are insufficient.
Con: The Free plan allows only one place alert, limiting its usefulness for tracking several regular destinations.
Con: Free history requires watching an ad, and Silver still provides only seven days.
Con: Desktop location viewing and alert management are restricted to Platinum.
Con: The privacy policy permits location-data sharing for advertising, research, and analytics and does not guarantee complete security.

Verdict

Choose iSharing if your family or close friends want location sharing with place alerts and SOS in one app, and you are comfortable matching the plan to the history and desktop access you need. Its strongest case is the progression from basic sharing to long driving-history windows and audio-enhanced SOS. Look elsewhere if one alert is too restrictive, desktop use must be included at a lower tier, or the privacy policy's permitted data sharing is a dealbreaker.
