Overview

Speedify is a freemium VPN service for people who want streaming and torrent support alongside protection features such as a kill switch.

The monthly individual plan is a clear option for one person using up to five devices; households and teams get larger account structures, while router plans are organized around data quotas. Choose it if those device and account limits match your needs, and compare alternatives if a defined free-data allowance or a published long-term price matters more.

Key features

Speedify has servers in 35 countries and supports streaming and torrenting. Those capabilities give it a broad use case beyond basic VPN protection, while the server-country count is a practical point of comparison for anyone weighing network reach.

A kill switch adds a protection feature intended to cut off traffic if the VPN connection drops. Speedify supports up to five simultaneous devices, making it workable across a single person's devices without requiring a separate connection for each one.

Pricing

Speedify offers a free plan and a 7-day trial. The free option can provide a way to start without a paid commitment, but no free-plan data or device cap is given here, so it is not possible to weigh its ongoing limits against paid use.

Individual: Individual monthly costs 14.99 USD per month, billed every month, for five devices. That suits a single user who wants a straightforward monthly commitment. Individual yearly and Individual 3-year plans also cover five devices, but both have custom pricing; their longer terms are harder to assess without a stated price.

Family: Family monthly costs 22.50 USD per month, billed every month, for five user accounts and 25 devices total. It fits a household sharing coverage across multiple people and devices. Family yearly and Family 3-year plans offer the same account and device counts at custom pricing, so the monthly option is the only one with a stated price.

Teams: Teams monthly costs 14.99 USD per month, billed monthly, for five users with five devices per user. Teams yearly has custom pricing for the same user and device allowance. The monthly plan is aimed at a small group that needs individual device capacity for each user, rather than a single shared five-device pool.

Router: Router 500GB yearly costs 15.00 USD per year, billed $180 every year, for 500GB. Router 1TB yearly costs 25.00 USD per year, billed $300 every year, for 1TB. Both plans are quota-based, so the allowance is central to choosing between them. Router 100GB yearly and Router 3TB yearly have custom pricing.

Platforms

Speedify supports web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. That range covers desktop and mobile use as well as web access, reducing the need to choose a different service for a particular operating system.

Who it's for

Speedify is best suited to individuals, households, or small teams whose needs align with its five-device individual limit, 25-device family pool, or five devices per team user. Streaming and torrent support make it relevant to people who want those activities covered by their VPN service.

It is less compelling for buyers who need to compare long-term costs precisely before committing: several individual, family, team, and router terms have custom pricing. Router plans also make more sense for users comfortable choosing by a fixed data allowance.

Pros and cons

Broad platform coverage: Web, desktop, and mobile support makes Speedify usable across major device types.
Flexible account structures: Individual, family, and team plans distinguish personal device limits from shared household and per-user allowances.
Streaming, torrent, and kill switch support: These features cover more than basic VPN connectivity and add a useful protection control.
Many plan prices are custom: Buyers cannot directly compare the cost of several annual and multi-year options from their prices alone.
Router plans use quotas: Their 100GB to 3TB allowances require users to choose based on data consumption rather than device count alone.

Verdict

Speedify is a good match for individuals, families, and small teams who value streaming and torrent support, a kill switch, and clear device allocations. Its monthly plans make the immediate cost legible, but custom pricing on many longer terms is a reason to look elsewhere if upfront price comparison is a priority.
