Overview

Caddyio brings several golf club tasks into one platform: tee-time booking, live scoring, competitions, coaching, course operations and member management. Clubs can use its tee sheet and online booking tools, while members access a club-branded area for booking and other activities.

A notable part of the offer is that tee-sheet management, online booking and green-fee recording are free indefinitely. The Free plan allows unlimited members, visitors and bookings, with no booking commission. Members can also use the platform for free, and Caddyio describes the member experience as advertising-free. For more options in this category, see our Golf Tee Time Booking Software list.

Key features

Booking and club management

Caddyio includes tee-sheet management, online tee booking, a booking widget and an API. Clubs can record green fees, but golfers settle those fees at the counter rather than paying online through Caddyio. Member management is included, and clubs can offer a white-label member area with their branding and a custom domain.

Scoring and course activity

Members can enter scores hole by hole. Caddyio calculates net scores and Stableford points under World Handicap System rules, as well as an indicative Handicap Index. That index does not sync with union handicap systems, so the union-connected provider remains the official handicap record.

For course operations, Caddyio offers a live GPS clubhouse wallboard, pace-of-play tracking, on-course service requests and member reports about course conditions. The platform also includes competitions and coaching.

Payments and integrations

When enabled, Stripe Connect supports membership dues and member-purse top-ups. Green fees are recorded in Caddyio but paid at the counter. The listed live integrations include the UK Golf Course Data directory, Resend transactional email, Web Push, Caddyio’s REST API and its embed SDK.

There are clear limits to the integration scope: Caddyio does not integrate with EPOS or till systems, range-ball dispensers, union handicap systems, tee-time marketplaces or accounting software. Clubs that depend on those connections will need to account for that gap.

Privacy and notifications

Caddyio’s privacy policy says it does not sell personal data and allows users to request access, correction or deletion. GPS location is collected during a live round only while a member is actively scoring.

Browser-based Web Push notifications are available on Android and desktop, and on iOS when a member adds the app to the home screen. Caddyio also lists an optional native Android app.

Pricing

Caddyio is freemium, with a free plan and paid plans from £99/mo. There is no free trial. The pricing page says there is no setup fee.

Plan	Price	Included limits and features
Free	£0 / month, forever	Unlimited members, visitors and bookings; tee sheet and online booking; booking widget and API; no booking commission.
Starter	From £99/month	Includes Free; up to 300 members and 1 course; 4 tournaments per year.

The Pro tier is the only plan specifically described as including priority support and onboarding. The listed information does not specify the paid-plan prices for Club or Pro.

Platforms

Caddyio lists web, iOS, Android and API access. Its Web Push notifications work on Android and desktop browsers, and on iOS when members add the app to their home screen. An optional native Android app is also listed.

Who it's for

Caddyio is aimed at golf clubs that want tee-time booking, member management and course activity tools in one platform, with a free way to manage the tee sheet and record green fees. Its Free plan may suit clubs that need unlimited members and bookings without booking commission; clubs seeking more tournament capacity, multiple courses or advanced analytics can consider the paid tiers.

It is less suited to clubs that require online golfer payments for green fees or direct links to EPOS, till, range-ball, union handicap, marketplace or accounting systems. Clubs should also treat Caddyio’s calculated Handicap Index as indicative rather than their official union-connected record.

Pros and cons

Pros

Free tee-sheet management, online booking and green-fee recording, with unlimited members and bookings.
No booking commission on the Free plan.
Combines scoring, competitions, course operations and member management.
White-label member area with club branding and a custom domain.
Privacy policy says personal data is not sold and provides access, correction and deletion requests.

Cons

Green fees are recorded but settled at the counter; online golfer payments are not offered.
No integration with several systems clubs may rely on, including EPOS, union handicap and accounting software.
The calculated Handicap Index does not replace the official union-connected record.
Club and Pro plan prices are available only on enquiry.

Alternatives

Other options to consider include ReadyGolf, Supreme Golf for Courses, Club Caddie, foreUP, Links Meridian, Verro, TeeWire and ClubV1.

Verdict

Caddyio’s clearest strength is its indefinitely free tee sheet and online booking, paired with no booking commission and capacity for unlimited members and bookings on the Free plan. It extends beyond booking with scoring, competitions, course-operation tools and branded member access. The main trade-offs are the lack of online green-fee payments and integrations with several common club systems, while its Handicap Index remains indicative rather than official. Clubs should weigh those limits against the work they want Caddyio to cover and compare the enquiry-priced Club and Pro tiers against their requirements.
