Overview

BRS Core brings point-of-sale, tee-sheet management and membership controls together, with booking through a club’s responsive website and companion apps. The approach is practical for clubs seeking to reduce administrative work, but its breadth is most relevant to golf-club operations rather than individual golfers shopping for a booking app.

Key features

Tee times and competitions

The cloud-based tee sheet is accessible from any device and includes more than 50 management reports and over 400 system configurations. That range gives clubs room to shape booking and reporting around their operations, though it also makes the platform a substantial club system rather than a simple booking calendar. Members can book casual and competition times online or through iPhone and Android apps. A selected time is held for three minutes, and waiting lists help manage busy competitions.

The integrated competition system syncs with the tee sheet and member booking channels and connects with the World Handicap System. Integrations with GolfNow, Golf Genius, HandicapMaster and Club Systems support tee-time distribution, competition management and handicapping.

Payments and point of sale

Point-of-sale functions cover member and visitor pricing, member wallet payments, and an iPad food-and-beverage app that routes orders to the bar or kitchen. BRS Payments supports online bills and green fees, phone card payments through a virtual terminal, emailed payment links and refunds, with seven-day bank payouts. Stripe powers the payment service, and the maker identifies it as a PCI Service Provider Level 1. These functions make BRS Core a stronger fit for clubs wanting booking and transactions connected to club operations than for those seeking only tee-time scheduling.

Support and reliability

Clubs receive phone and email support, step-by-step WalkMe guides, live system-status updates, and club-specific onboarding and training. BRS states that its systems operate at 99.98% uptime. Those commitments matter for a service that members and staff rely on to manage bookings and payments.

Pricing

BRS Core has custom pricing; clubs must contact sales to request a demo. The plan includes online tee booking, tee-sheet management, online golfer payments, golf POS and member management. With no public amount to compare against a club’s budget, BRS is harder to assess on cost before a sales conversation.

Platforms

BRS Golf supports Android, iOS and web. Members can book through the responsive website or companion iPhone and Android apps, while the cloud-based tee sheet is accessible from any device.

Who it's for

BRS Core is aimed at golf clubs that want booking, competitions, membership administration and payments linked in one operating platform. The maker reports use by more than 3,500 clubs across 14 countries. Clubs that need only a lightweight booking tool, or that require a clear public price before engaging sales, should compare alternatives.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad club operations in one system: Tee times, membership controls, POS and payments are combined rather than treated as separate tasks.
Connected competition workflow: Competition tools sync with booking channels and the World Handicap System, with integrations for handicapping and competition services.
Useful payment options: Online payments, virtual-terminal phone payments, emailed links, refunds and seven-day bank payouts cover multiple club payment scenarios.
Club-oriented support: Onboarding and training sit alongside phone and email support, guides and status updates.

Cons

Cost is difficult to screen: Custom pricing requires a sales conversation, so clubs cannot readily compare the full platform against a published budget.
May be more system than a narrow need requires: Its combined operations suite is less compelling for a club looking only for basic tee-time booking.

Alternatives

Compare golf tee-time booking software if you want to evaluate the category before choosing a club platform.

Club Caddie is another paid golf management option; its pricing is also by contact, with no public amount.
Links Meridian is worth considering if a published entry price matters: its Starter plan is 79.00 USD per month billed annually, or $99/mo month-to-month, for up to 500 member profiles and email support.
Lightspeed Golf is a paid, web-based alternative.
foreUP may suit clubs comparing paid golf software with separate marketing or billing options.
Verro is another paid option for clubs considering a core platform.
Caddyio is a freemium alternative with a free plan at 0.00 GBP per month.
GolfTap is a paid option available on web, iOS and Android.
ReadyGolf offers a free golfer app, with clubs setting the prices of their own products and services.

Verdict

BRS Core is a strong candidate for golf clubs that want tee booking, competitions, payments and club management connected in one operating platform. Its broad capabilities and club-focused support are the main reasons to choose it; clubs that need a public price to judge affordability, or only need simple booking, have good reason to look elsewhere.
