Overview

Bluedot is meeting-capture software for online calls, phone conversations, and in-person meetings. It records conversations, creates transcripts and summaries, and keeps those materials searchable for later review. Its bot-free approach is designed to capture a meeting without adding a recording bot to the call.

The listed capture contexts include Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack huddles, phone calls, and in-person meetings. Bluedot supports transcription and summaries in more than 100 languages. Its built-in AI chat can answer questions and surface insights across multiple meetings, while sharing and review tools let users send a conversation by link, comment on important moments, and clip highlights.

Capture is available through a Chrome extension, desktop apps for Mac and Windows, and iOS and Android apps. Bluedot also lists integrations with Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Meet, HubSpot, Make, MCP, Microsoft Teams, Notion, Outlook, Salesforce, Slack, webhooks, Zapier, and Zoom. Exports include PDF, TXT, plain text, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Google Drive.

Who it's for

Bluedot may suit individuals or teams that want searchable meeting records without a bot joining their calls, and that need to revisit discussions across different meeting contexts. Its multilingual transcription, cross-meeting AI chat, and sharing tools are relevant when conversations need to be searched, circulated, or turned into follow-up notes. The free plan is limited to five meetings over the account lifetime, so ongoing recording requires a paid plan once that allowance is used.

Teams with formal data-handling or access requirements can evaluate the stated encryption, audited controls, GDPR-related practices, and enterprise options such as SSO, SCIM, and configurable retention. Those needs may make the Business tier relevant, though its listed price is higher than the individual plans.

Verdict

Bluedot brings meeting capture, transcription, searchable summaries, and cross-meeting AI chat into one service, with options for browser, desktop, and mobile recording. Its bot-free capture and broad meeting-context support are central distinctions in its offering. The five-meeting lifetime free allowance is useful for a limited evaluation but not ongoing recording, while Basic's one-hour cap may matter for longer sessions. Before choosing a paid tier, compare its video, imports, administration, and retention needs against the plan limits, and note the one-month restoration window after cancellation.
