Overview

BIPO HRMS Payroll is the payroll component of BIPO HRMS, a cloud-based system for managing HR processes from employee records through payroll. BIPO was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Singapore. Alongside payroll, the platform includes Personnel Hub, Time & Attendance, Leave Management, Claims, and Training & Appraisal.

The payroll system is built to support businesses operating across borders. It handles payroll calculations and salary disbursements, with support for tax filing, pension contributions, multi-currency payments, and digital payslips. BIPO lists compliance coverage in Southeast Asia, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, and other markets, subject to the local regulations covered by the product.

BIPO says HRMS is suited to companies with 50 or more employees and can manage more than 10,000 employees across multiple countries at once. The company describes the system as customizable, with options to connect HR to Finance (ERP) and other third-party platforms. It supports both employee and contractor payments.

Key features

Payroll schedules, calculations, and payments

Payroll runs can be set for fortnightly or monthly schedules, and ad-hoc runs are available for bonuses and other one-off payments. The system supports automated calculations, tax filing, pension contributions, and customized real-time reports. Payments can be made in multiple currencies, while digital payslips are available to employees at any time.

Connected HR records and self-service

Personnel Hub gives employees access to HR records and e-payslips, and lets them submit leave requests and claims or view company information. BIPO says employee information, claims, attendance, and overtime can sync across the system, with payroll, time tracking, and leave management connected. Employee access settings can be configured.

Attendance and mobile access

Time and attendance tools include real-time tracking, support for different clocking devices, facial recognition, and shift scheduling. The mobile app supports payslip access, leave and claims tasks, and clock-in or clock-out using GPS, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi. Employees can also access payroll information in a browser or through the iOS and Android apps.

Reporting, integrations, and infrastructure

An HR dashboard and customizable real-time reports provide workforce information. BIPO offers APIs to extract data from Employee, Leave, Attendance, and Payroll modules for third-party integrations. The company says the platform is highly customizable and can integrate with Finance (ERP) and other platforms.

BIPO says its platform and services are ISO-27001 certified and undergo annual SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II audits. Its HRMS FAQ names AWS and Alibaba Cloud hosting, while the payroll page describes scheduled automatic backups. The company also says it supports more than 20 languages and complies with local labour regulations in the countries listed on its product page.

Pricing

BIPO HRMS Payroll is paid, but its subscription price is not publicly stated; pricing is available on request. BIPO offers a free demo request. The product page does not specify a free-trial duration.

Platforms

BIPO HRMS Payroll is available on the web, iOS, and Android. An API is also listed, with developer documentation describing access to data from Employee, Leave, Attendance, and Payroll modules for third-party integrations.

Who it's for

BIPO HRMS Payroll is aimed at companies managing payroll alongside other HR processes, particularly those with employees in multiple countries. BIPO identifies companies with 50 or more employees as a fit and says the system can handle more than 10,000 employees across countries. Its cross-border payroll, multi-currency payments, and listed regional compliance coverage may be relevant to organizations with international payroll needs. Companies should confirm that the product covers the specific labour regulations in their operating locations.

The broader HR suite may suit businesses looking to connect payroll with time and attendance, leave, claims, personnel records, and training and appraisal. BIPO says employee training is included in its implementation methodology, and describes local support across more than 170 markets alongside a globally connected network offering 24/7 support.

Verdict

BIPO HRMS Payroll brings payroll together with the HR functions around it, including employee records, time and attendance, leave, claims, and workforce reporting. Its stated support for multiple currencies, scheduled and ad-hoc runs, and payroll in multiple countries makes it relevant to businesses managing distributed workforces. The main practical uncertainty is cost: BIPO does not publish a subscription price, and the appropriate fit depends on confirming local compliance coverage and the integrations a company needs. A free demo request offers a way to review the system before requesting pricing.
