Overview

Diners scan a QR code with a phone camera and open the menu in a browser, without installing an app. Alongside QR menus and online ordering, AviQR brings together POS billing, kitchen display, inventory and recipe tracking, staff roles, loyalty, CRM, campaigns and reports. That breadth could reduce the need to juggle separate tools, but the value depends on whether a restaurant can work within the Starter plan’s small allowances or wait for higher tiers.

Menus can automatically translate into nine Indian languages. Items may also include short videos or rotatable 3D previews, which can help venues present dishes visually as well as through text. These additions are useful for restaurants where menu detail and multilingual access matter, though the platform’s central draw is the connection between customer ordering and restaurant operations.

Key features

QR menus and order tracking

Customers can track orders in real time as they move from Confirmed to Preparing to Ready. That gives diners a straightforward view of progress, while browser access avoids making them download an app. AviQR says its aggregator integration syncs menus with Zomato, Swiggy and other delivery apps, and that online payments run through Razorpay.

Restaurant operations and AI

Kitchen display, POS billing, inventory and recipe tracking, staff roles, loyalty, CRM and analytics cover a wide range of day-to-day work. AviQR also lists 11 AI features, including demand forecasting, fraud detection, dynamic pricing and voice ordering, powered by Claude. This feature range may appeal to operators seeking a broader platform than a standalone digital menu; smaller venues should weigh that breadth against the Starter plan’s strict quotas.

Security and payments

AviQR says data in transit uses TLS 1.2/1.3, passwords are bcrypt-hashed, databases are not publicly reachable, and login JWTs are short-lived and rotating. Razorpay processes online payments, while subscription invoices are GST-compliant in INR.

Pricing

AviQR uses a freemium model with a free plan and a free trial. Starter costs 0.00 USD per free and includes up to 20 menu items, 50 orders per day, one QR code and basic analytics. It is a sensible starting point for a small operation that can fit within those limits, but a single QR code and a 20-item menu can be restrictive for venues with multiple tables or a wider menu. The 50-orders-per-day ceiling also makes it unsuitable for busier service.

Growth and Business are marked launching soon, so they are not current upgrade options. Business is set to include priority support, but that plan is not yet available. Restaurants that outgrow Starter may need to look elsewhere rather than assume a higher AviQR tier is ready.

Platforms

AviQR is a web platform. Customers use a phone camera and browser to access menus, with no separate customer app download required.

Who it's for

AviQR says it is built for restaurants, cafés and bakeries, food courts, hotels and resorts, malls, and cloud kitchens. Its mix of QR ordering and operational tools is most compelling for venues seeking one system across customer-facing menus and staff workflows. The Starter plan is better suited to a small operation with a short menu and modest order volume than to a restaurant likely to exceed its daily cap.

Pros and cons

Pros: Browser-based QR menus avoid requiring diners to install an app.
Pros: Nine-language menu translation and video or 3D item previews give venues options for presenting dishes to varied audiences.
Pros: Ordering, payments, kitchen display, POS billing, inventory, staff tools, loyalty, CRM and analytics sit within one platform.
Pros: A free Starter plan lets a small venue begin without a subscription fee.
Cons: Starter is capped at 20 menu items, 50 orders per day and one QR code, which can quickly constrain menu size, volume and table coverage.
Cons: Growth and Business are launching soon, leaving no current paid tier for an operation that needs more room.
Cons: Business priority support is tied to a plan that is not yet available.

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, browse Digital Menu Software. Consider EatPe if you want a free plan and a low-cost POS Lite option at 99.00 INR per month, with 500 invoices per month, POS billing, thermal-print readiness and daily sales reporting. Tabemi may suit an outlet that can qualify for its Founding Partner offer: it is free of charge for the first 10 outlets, earned after 50 served orders while places remain.

GustoQR is worth considering for a free plan with full templates and AI features, but its free tier caps customers at 500 per year and omits full POS. MENU TIGER may fit a single-store venue that can work within its Freemium allowance of 10 tables or QR codes, seven menu categories, seven items per category, 200 QR-code orders per month and 250 online orders per month. TABLY is a paid alternative for venues needing unlimited menu items and categories and unlimited branded table QR codes; its Annual plan costs 25050.00 INR per year.

FineDine is an option for venues willing to pay for a Starter plan at 27.00 EUR per month billed annually, with 100 menu items, 20 dine-in tables, 1,000 monthly orders and 50 monthly reservations. Dmeals offers a free Starter plan for one restaurant and up to 30 dishes, with a QR menu but no custom branding, analytics or offers system. Digmenu has a free plan with core features subject to feature and usage limits and possible advertising, alongside a Monthly plan at 19.99 EUR per month.

Verdict

AviQR is a good fit for a small restaurant or food-service venue that wants QR ordering alongside a broad set of operations tools, multilingual menus and visual item previews. The free Starter plan is the clearest reason to try it, but its 20-item, 50-orders-per-day and one-QR limits are the main reason to choose another platform if the venue needs more capacity now.
