Overview

Safesite is a workplace safety management platform for organizations that need to coordinate field activity and keep safety records together. It is best suited to teams that want mobile workflows and offline use alongside program reporting. Its free plan makes it possible to start without a subscription, but its 30-day reporting window and mobile access requirements may be decisive constraints.

Key features

Field safety workflows

Safesite brings inspections, meetings, hazards, observations, equipment inspections, and incident reports into one system. Teams can schedule and track inspections, create safety tasks, raise hazards, and use or customize compliance checklists. That breadth suits organizations managing recurring safety work across projects; it is less compelling for teams that only need a standalone checklist or inspection tool.

Incident records and oversight

Incident reports can capture information, notify stakeholders, and be added to an OSHA log. Managers also get leading-indicator analytics, a Safesite Score, and compliance reporting. These tools connect field records with program oversight, though reporting access on the free plan covers only the latest 30 days.

Field access and security

Safesite says core features work offline and saved work syncs when connectivity returns, a practical advantage for work sites with unreliable service. The app supports English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Safesite says data is encrypted in transit with TLS/SSL and at rest in its AWS-hosted database, and that independent security researchers conduct ongoing penetration testing, security scans, and threat detection for the application and API.

Pricing

Safesite uses a freemium model, with a 30-day trial and paid access from $16/user/mo. Premium is 16.00 USD per month, billed per member, per month; monthly or annual billing is offered, with a 20% discount for annual billing.

Plan	Price	What it means
Free	0.00 USD per free	Unlimited members and guests, but reporting is restricted to the last 30 days. It can suit an organization starting out or with recent reporting needs, but historical reporting requires a paid plan.
Premium	16.00 USD per month	Unrestricted reporting, group reporting, and an OSHA 300 recordable incident log. The per-member charge makes it a better fit when those capabilities justify the recurring seat cost.
Insurance Services	Custom pricing	Workers’ compensation and Premium features; ask your broker about Foresight.

Free accounts receive English- and Spanish-language support for the first 30 days. Premium and Enterprise subscribers receive ongoing premium support. Organizations should also plan for an administrator to create an account through the desktop portal before mobile users can join projects.

Platforms

Safesite is available on Android, iOS, and the web. Mobile access is through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or a browser-based mobile interface. New users outside the US, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico cannot download the app from app stores; Safesite recommends the browser interface instead.

Who it's for

Safesite is a strong fit for organizations coordinating safety inspections, corrective actions, training, hazard assessments, and incident records across field teams. Its offline support and unlimited free-plan members help teams get started without paying per seat, while Premium is the more suitable choice when older reporting, group reporting, or the OSHA 300 log matters. It is a weaker fit for organizations that require app-store access in unsupported countries or want mobile workers to join without a desktop-portal setup.

Pros and cons

Pro: Offline core workflows sync later, helping field teams continue recording work without connectivity.
Pro: Unlimited members and guests on Free let organizations include broad teams without a free-plan seat cap.
Pro: Inspections, incident records, analytics, and compliance reporting connect field activity with management oversight.
Con: Free reporting is limited to the most recent 30 days, so reviewing older activity requires Premium.
Con: Mobile project access requires an administrator to first create an organization account through the desktop portal.
Con: App-store downloads are unavailable to new users outside the US, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico, leaving the browser interface as the recommended route.

Verdict

Choose Safesite if your organization needs connected safety workflows, incident records, and offline field access, and can work within its portal setup and regional app availability. Its free tier is a useful starting point for unlimited members, but the 30-day reporting cap is the central reason to move to Premium—or look elsewhere if historical reporting must remain free.
