Overview

OrderNow Inventory is a food-business stock management workflow that ties recipe use, purchasing, receiving, waste and reporting together. It best suits restaurants and other food operators already using OrderNow for eligible sales, especially those managing stock across more than one site. Its main trade-off is a steep entry point for inventory: the free tier is only a view-only QR menu, and inventory features begin with Ultra at 95.00 USD per month.

Key features

Recipes and purchasing

Eligible sales recorded through OrderNow can trigger recipe-based ingredient-use calculations, linking sales activity to stock consumption. That is useful for teams that want recipe costing and inventory to work together, but the benefit depends on eligible sales being recorded through OrderNow; it is not a general promise to deduct stock for sales from any system.

Purchase orders, goods received notes, supplier details and purchase history cover the procurement trail from ordering through receipt. Stock reports can include low stock, valuation, variance, cost of goods sold, supplier activity and movement, giving operators several ways to review what is on hand and how it is changing.

Multiple sites, waste and integrations

Location-level balances and transfers support groups moving stock between outlets, kitchens, stores and central warehouses. Teams can also record waste, damage and stock corrections, alongside configured HACCP or food-safety checks. These are practical controls for operators coordinating inventory and food-safety routines, though the service does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability; access can depend on plan, market and implementation.

OrderNow's features page describes third-party delivery workflows, accounting and health-app sync, and Google Reserve, while API and webhook connections are marked as coming soon. That makes the integration picture mixed: some workflows are described, but API and webhook connectivity should not be treated as already available.

Pricing

The Free plan is free forever, needs no credit card and allows unlimited scans, but caps the menu at 12 items and disables ordering. It is ad-supported and view-only, so it is a menu trial rather than an inventory option.

Pro costs 44.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and includes unlimited menu items, ordering and KOT, one location, and standard chat and email support. It does not include inventory; operators seeking stock and recipe costing need Ultra.

Ultra costs 95.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and is the entry plan for inventory and recipe costing. It supports up to two locations and includes priority 24/7 WhatsApp support. That makes it the clearest fit for a small operation needing stock tools, but groups with more sites need a different arrangement.

Enterprise has custom pricing, volume pricing and a tailored SLA. It includes unlimited locations, custom integrations, direct API and webhooks, and a 99.9% uptime SLA, positioning it for larger operators that need scale and defined service commitments rather than a fixed monthly tier.

Platforms

OrderNow lists Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, web and API support. It also states there is no mobile app, so the Android and iOS listings should not be read as a dedicated mobile application. Security safeguards include encrypted network connections where supported, access controls, monitoring, backups and security updates. OrderNow says it does not sell personal information, though it may share limited information with service providers or for legal and business-change purposes.

Who it's for

Restaurants, cafés, hotels, cloud kitchens, restaurant groups and caterers can use the product's combination of recipe-linked stock use, purchasing records and location transfers. It is strongest for food businesses that can record eligible sales in OrderNow and need inventory beyond a single site. A business looking only for a free inventory system, a dedicated mobile app, or stock deduction from sales outside OrderNow should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: Recipe-based usage can connect eligible sales to ingredient consumption, making stock records more operationally useful than counts alone.
Pros: Purchasing, supplier history, waste records, stock reports and inter-location transfers cover much of the day-to-day inventory workflow.
Pros: Enterprise includes unlimited locations, direct API and webhooks, custom integrations and a 99.9% uptime SLA for groups needing a tailored setup.
Cons: The Free and Pro plans do not include inventory; the inventory entry point is Ultra at 95.00 USD per month.
Cons: Ultra stops at two locations, leaving larger groups to seek custom-priced Enterprise.
Cons: There is no mobile app, and API and webhook connections are described as coming soon outside Enterprise's direct connectivity offer.

Alternatives

Choose growyze if a free plan and free trial matter more than OrderNow's listed location-transfer and recipe workflow; its free tier sets explicit caps across stocktakes, supplier orders, suppliers, delivery notes, invoice validations, recipes and dishes, and waste records.

Craftable is another paid option for Android, iOS and web.

MarketMan is a paid alternative without a free plan; its listed Starter plan is 249.00 USD per month, billed monthly, for independent operators, with one Vendor EDI integration and 50 AI-powered invoice scans per month.

Marji and Galley are web-based freemium alternatives.

MarginEdge is a paid Android, iOS and web option without a free plan; its listed plan is 350.00 USD per location per month.

ScanOrbit is a free web alternative, while Spec is a freemium web option.

Verdict

OrderNow Inventory is a sensible fit for food operators already recording eligible sales in OrderNow who want recipe-linked ingredient use, purchasing controls and stock movement in one workflow. Ultra is the practical starting point, but its 95.00 USD monthly price and two-location ceiling make it a poor match for budget-conscious teams or larger groups unwilling to move to custom-priced Enterprise.
