Overview

AppFollow brings review handling, feedback analysis, and app-store monitoring into one workflow. Teams can centralize reviews and use AI to draft personalized replies in any language while retaining a brand’s tone. That makes it more useful than a reply tool alone when support teams also need to identify recurring feedback for product work.

Analysis features include AI summaries, custom tags, sentiment analysis, and alerts. For market monitoring, AppFollow tracks keyword rankings, search downloads, visibility, conversion, ratings, and reviews by market. It can also follow competitors’ public keyword rankings, category positions, ratings, and reviews without access to their store accounts.

Key features

Supported sources include App Store Connect, Google Play, Mac App Store, Microsoft Store, Apple Arcade, Huawei AppGallery, Samsung Galaxy Store, Trustpilot, and Steam. Connections to tools such as Slack, Discord, Salesforce, Zendesk, Intercom, Microsoft Teams, and Tableau help route feedback into existing workflows. Webhooks and an API let teams send reviews or data to other systems, an advantage for organizations that need to connect review work to internal processes.

AppFollow’s combination of feedback tools and market tracking is broad, but it also means buyers should match the app and keyword allowances to their actual workload. A two-app cap may be enough for a small portfolio; teams with larger catalogs will need a higher tier.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and has no time limit. It covers 2 apps, 10 competitor apps, 100 manual replies per month, and 7 days of historical data. That is a useful starting point for a small workload, but the short history and reply quota make it a poor fit for teams that need sustained analysis or frequent responses.

ASO costs 19.00 USD per month, billed yearly, and is available as an add-on. Its limits are 2 apps, 500 keywords, and 30 competitors. It offers an inexpensive entry to keyword and competitor tracking, but the same two-app ceiling as Free limits its appeal to small portfolios.

Essential costs 179.00 USD per month with monthly billing and raises the allowances to 5 apps, 3,000 keywords, 100 competitors, and 365 days of historical data. It is a more practical choice for teams that need a year of context and substantially more tracking capacity.

Team costs 599.00 USD per month with monthly billing and supports 15 apps, 9,000 keywords, 250 competitors, and full historical data. Those higher limits suit larger coordinated teams, though the price is a significant step up from Essential. Enterprise has custom pricing, custom app limits, full AI workflows, advanced Zendesk and Salesforce integrations, anomaly detection, SSO, and a dedicated success manager. It is aimed at organizations that need configurable scale and added support.

The paid plans have a 10-day trial. AppFollow is freemium, so teams can start without a time-limited free plan, but the free allowances are restrictive for ongoing multi-app use.

Platforms

AppFollow is available on the web and through an API. Its marketplace coverage spans both major app marketplaces, alongside additional stores and review sources. Security measures include ISO 27001 certification received in May 2024, least-privilege access, encryption and anonymization rules, firewalls, centralized logging, and regular penetration tests. AppFollow says it uses AWS, Hetzner Cloud, and Google Cloud Platform, with data stored in Germany and Finland.

Who it's for

AppFollow fits support teams that handle app reviews at volume, product teams looking for patterns in customer feedback, and ASO or marketing teams monitoring keywords and competitors. Gaming and finance teams are also among its intended users. A solo operator tracking one or two apps can begin on Free or add ASO; teams needing larger app limits, more history, or coordinated workflows should consider Essential, Team, or Enterprise. It is less compelling for buyers who need only a narrowly focused ASO tool and do not need review management or integrations.

Pros and cons

Broad review-source coverage: support for app stores and services such as Trustpilot and Steam helps consolidate feedback across channels.
Review work and market analysis in one platform: AI replies, sentiment tools, keyword tracking, and competitor monitoring can serve support and growth teams together.
Useful integration and API options: a wide range of listed connections and webhooks can fit into existing support and reporting workflows.
Restrictive free limits: 2 apps, 100 manual replies monthly, and only 7 days of history constrain sustained use.
Higher tiers cost more: Essential and Team require monthly payments of 179.00 USD and 599.00 USD respectively, making them a substantial commitment for small teams.

Alternatives

For a more ASO-centered choice, compare App Store Optimization Software. If drafting review replies is the main need, see AI Review Response Generators; for broader review workflows, browse Review Management Software.

AppTweak is worth considering if a free ASO starting point with 3 seats and past-month historical data matters more than AppFollow’s review workflow. ASO.dev is an option for buyers seeking a paid Console plan at 15.00 USD per month, billed yearly at $180 per year. ASOMobile offers a free plan with 20 keywords, 2 apps, and 1 teammate, which may suit a small team focused on a limited keyword set. ASOTools is another freemium alternative. App Radar may suit buyers seeking a paid Essentials Pack at 69.00 USD per month with 2 apps, 500 keywords, 25 competitors, and 1 seat. ASOScan offers a Solo plan at 15.00 USD per month billed monthly, or 12.50 USD per month billed annually, with 3 apps and 500 total keywords. ASOdesk has a free plan with 200 keywords, 1 application, and 1 teammate. ASOnest offers a Lite plan at 10.00 USD per month, billed as $120 once a year, with 5 apps and 100 tracked keywords.

Verdict

Choose AppFollow if your team needs review management, feedback analysis, and marketplace monitoring connected in one platform. Its broad source coverage and integrations are the central reasons to pick it. Look elsewhere if you need higher free-plan limits or a cheaper path to broader app coverage; the smallest tier supports only two apps, while meaningful increases in apps and history come at a steep price jump.
